Want to Lose Weight? 4 Habits You Must Swear By!

Want to Lose Weight? 4 Habits You Must Swear By!

Weight is one issue that 90% of the people are not happy. While some think they have a fat stomach or thighs, others want to reduce their biceps or arm size. Changing food habits and sedentary lifestyle has made weight loss a big challenge. Losing weight is not just about looking good, but also about living healthy.

The journey of weight loss is a tedious one and in a way is never ending. Because it is not just about losing weight, but maintaining it. If you were overweight to begin with, then you are prone to bounce back to your previous weight are quite high. However, as much as it may sound tedious, it is not impossible. There are some things that people who have succeeded in losing weight do.

Below are just some of the few habits that you have to imbibe in yourself to get that much needed boost to lose weight:

  • Discipline: Whether to say no to the extremely appealing cheese-laden pizza or your favourite alcoholic drink, when you are on the way to weight loss, you need to say NO. A loud, affirmative, clear NO. Every single thing that you put into your system needs to be watched. The same affirmative NO is required for the urge to sleep for that extra few minutes and delay your workout. You just have to be hard on yourself discipline, self-control, strong will or commitment, whatever you want to call it, this is the most important ingredient that weight loss winners would vouch for. Without this, no amount of coaxing by your trainer or dietitianor or doctor is going to work. The final onus and the single determining factor in your weight loss is you, asonly you decide, if you want to win or lose.
  • Set realistic goals: Just because you idolize a sportsperson or a movie star does not mean you should set a target to look like them. Each person's body composition is different, which determines your looks and weight. Consult with experts who know the subject and set realistic goals. While some may be able to lose 10 kilos or pounds over 10 days, others might only to able to accomplish 3 to 4. Do not fret over this, realize that your body isunique unique and set goals based on how it will respond.
  • Winners keep scores: As you embark on your weight loss journey, remember to keep scores. Set up milestones by weeks and months, and make sure you track and meet them. If you are falling short, step back and analyze and work at it.  Once you have reached your target of the initial loss, keep scores in terms of what you can eat and exercise and track those too.
  • Enjoy the grind: If you look at weight loss as something you are doing to please somebody, then you are going to find it more difficult. The most important ingredient is to realize that you are doing it for yourself and to enjoy the entire journey of weight loss. Feel good about your altered food habits and exercise and look at the mirror to appreciate the small changes that your body is going through. Feel good about every inch you lose, and you are sure to lose more. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dietitian-nutritionist.

Hello Doctor, I want to know the reason behind my mother's sudden death. When I came from college, I saw my mother lying in kitchen, there was no scars, no pain, it seemed like she is normally sleeping in peace. I called ambulance, but they said that my mother is no more. I asked the reason to them, then they requested to do post mortem. I can not see post mortem happening with my mom's death so I refused. I do not know the reason what happened with my mom. I can tell you step by step whatever I know which may help you to find the exact reason behind my mother's sudden death. 1) My mom was a diabetic patient since 10 years and it was normal usually does up and down between 100 to 300. 2) Mom got injury on head due to table corner attack onto her head. It got swallowed so I took her to hospital in May, 2015, there they said that my mom's diabetes has been reached upto 500 and she has to be admitted in the hospital immediately to control diabetes. 3) Dr.from Hospital did treatment for 3 days and than discharged when diabetes got normal with 100. 4) We took mom at home, she was having tablets and seeming like she is recovering. 5) My mom died on 8th Sep, 2015. Prior to this day i.e. 7th Sep-she was all fine but on 8th Sep, 2015 from 1 am till morning she dint sleep. I can say she dint sleep for whole night. She said this to me while waking me up in the morning at 6 am. She also said that she dint sleep whole night DUE TO ACIDITY. 6) I than left college at 7 am by kissing her on her chick and putting her on bed to rest. She slept on bed than I do not know what happened to her as I left for college. 7) I came from college and saw my mom is lying in the kitchen peacefully, no pain on face, no scars, nothing, Seems like she is sleeping peacefully. I also saw a pan of tea, that means she had milk tea though she was having high acidity. I assume that might give her stroke and due to stroke, she might got died. But I am just assuming. Please help me knowing the exact reason behind her death. I have mentioned the whole case study and for medical records to analyse better.

In 1 month pregnancy my doctor suggested Rantac twice a day. Can I use Pan D twice as it is more powerful.
Pan D is to be taken once a day. It is best to avoid both these medicines in the first 2 months of pregnancy. Therefore take them only if needed.

How to Keep your Skin Beautiful

How to Keep your Skin Beautiful

If you want to take, good and proper care of your All of us want to have smooth, flawless, soft, spotless, fair skin and today I am going to give you some fantastic tips to take good care of your skin.

70% of our body is made up of skin and hence it is necessary for you to take proper care of your skin. Your skin needs nourishment and it comes from food, so eat skin friendly foodstuff like yoghurt, green tea, kiwi, dark chocolate (I am not kidding, it is true), berries, salmon, almonds, carrots, tomato, etc. You are what you eat and you look what you eat, so if you eat unwanted food, junk food, then you will tend to look fat and you will have many pimples, as pimples are a sign of eating wrong, oily and unhealthy food.

Firstly, you ought to find out what is your skin type. There are four skin types of skin namely normal skin, oily skin, dry skin and combination skin.

If you skin looks life less, then you have dry skin. Dry skin lacks hydration and moisture; to help your skin look lively and beautiful, apply moisturizer daily at night.

If you sweat a lot, your skin looks greasy, you have many pimples and there are patches on your pillow, then you have oily skin. Most of the people with oily skin tend to have blackheads, pimples, acne, etc. As the skin is oily, dust tends to settle on it; hence, you have to wash your face frequently.

When your skin looks neither dry nor oily, then you have normal skin. One with a normal skin does not face much problem, but then too use a moisturizer and a scrub daily.

Combination skin means you have a combination of both, oily skin and dry skin. Some patches of your skin may look dry and some may look oily. If you have combination skin then you have to tend to each area carefully. It is better to consult a dermatologist if you have frequent out breaks of acne on the oily part of your skin.

Hence, you need to take care of your skin according to its type. If do not then it will only cause more damage to your skin. No matter what the skin type, apply sunscreen before you go out in the sun; wash your face frequently and use a moisturizer and a face wash daily.

WHAT IS THE REASON OF HAIR FALLING IN EARLIER AGES? AND How TO prevent hair falling give some advice on it.
It is normal to lose about 30-80 strands of hair in a day. The common reasons behind hair fall are lack of essential nutrients in the body, improper and unhealthy dietary habits, hormonal imbalance, certain medications, dandruff, alopecia and other scalp disorders, stress and tension etc. Natural oils such as coconut, olive, jojoba, almond etc. Can be used to massage the scalp for countering hair fall. Every thing can't be guided by doctors after they perform special surgery like a bypass surgery which is like a new life given and healthy years added but only if patients do learn to take care of their health and share responsibility. Regarding oils, each one of oils you have mentioned is heart or health friendly for normal persons also. My own choice is mustard oil, small amount to saute the vegetables in an iron based thick vessel and then cook by steam using cooker if need be, it retains the nutrients and taste and doesn't give a look of boiled vegetables to be taken by patients because after bypass surgery one should learn to live as normal a life as possible but with caution. If frying to be done occasionally, use groundnut or soy oil and don't reuse it. Keep it aside to cook vegetables, as only a spoon will be used for half a kilo. Olive oil is good but for western style of cooking and we aren't sure about purity of the oil sold to us in india. Do eat good fats everyday, like a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts. There's no need to change oils or follow the ads on tv, remember no oil is zero cholesterol.

Dear Lybrate User, *Drinking a cup of hot water with 1 tsp of honey and 10 drops of apple cider vinegar is a wonderful way to start the day. Honey and apple cider vinegar have scraping effects and can help with reducing excess adipose tissue. *Eliminating alcohol, caffeine and smoking. There is abundant information on how many negative effects these substances induce in the body. They can alter the digestive fire and create cravings for unhealthy foods. *Reducing dairy and meats from the diet. These foods are heavy, gross and can lead to slow, sluggish digestion which will increase the same qualities in the body. Therefore one will have excess heaviness, lethargy and poor metabolism with overconsumption of these foods. *Consume the largest meal at lunch – when digestion is strongest and keep dinner a simple and light meal. *Incorporate ginger pickles and teas in the diet. Ginger is an effective herb for stimulating digestion and removing toxins from the body. It will also help to increase metabolism. *Reducing the cold element in the diet and incorporating more hot meals will also bring changes to health. *Fresh vegetables such as beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, celery, leafy greens, onions, garlic, peppers and sprouts will help increase the light element in the body. Fruits to favor include; berries, apples, pears, pomegranate, raisins, lemons, prunes and apricots. Generally heavier and sweet fruit and vegetables such as potatoes, cucumber, zucchini, bananas, coconuts, avocados, oranges, grapes and pineapples are best avoided.

I am suffering from chronic depression from my child hood. Is there any cure for this? Medicines having side affects ...
Medicines are having side effects. In compulsory situation only we go for medicine. Up to that you are not go medicine it is good. There is a curability with psychotherapy, psychological counselling, cognitive behaviour modification therapy, relaxation therapy. Better to consult a good psychologist in hyderabad. Or please come to vijayawada I will help to you. Psychological counselling there is no side effects. It helps to modify your personality. It improves your life style management. It is always good to you. But the expert in psychology is needed very much. Do not be alone. Better to share your feelings and problems to your close friends and family members. Be sociable all the time. Be positive. Do not think too much about the depression. Today everyone is under depression. In this case no need of any medicine. So better to take the help of the good psychologist. Ok all the best.
