I am Dr. Vandana Verma. I am a clinical nutritionist and a physical therapist. I excel at weight loss managements and deal with patients struggling from metabolic disorders by providing them therapeutic diets.

Today we are going to talk about Obesity. Being slim does not necessarily mean that you are healthy. And yes, obesity is the house of mostly all the problems. If you are obese you tend to have more of the metabolic problems than any normal person.

What is the major reason for obesity?

The major reason for obesity is lifestyle. Now-a- days, we do not have time for our own self. We forget about going to the gym or going for a walk or anything like that. So today I am going to share few simple tips with you which you can inculcate in your normal routine and yes, it is going to help you to reduce weight.

  • The first tip I am going to share with you is portion meals. So, Cutting calories is the main aim in this tip but, Yes, it is done in a very fun way. Try taking smaller plates rather than taking a bigger plate. If you are putting your food, try putting it in a smaller plate. What will happen is that you will have a feeling that yes, you are eating a full plate but yes, your quantity is decreasing day by day. Thus the calories are going to decrease. Also in the same way, while you are having a beverage, take a tall glass rather than a small and wide glass. The quantity is going to be less but yes, it is going to show you that you are having a bigger glass.
  • The second tip which I can share with you is slow down. It is a proven fact that your brain records that yes your tummy is full or your satiety level receives the signal after twenty minutes of your eating food. So, whenever you are eating, eat slow. If you are eating very fast, it will just lead to another serving. You will have to just take another serving very soon. But if you are eating slow, chew properly, your digestion is going to improve, your brain is going to receive the signals in about 20 minutes and also it will help you in eating lesser.
  • Then the third point which we can take care of is smaller meals. Take a number of small spaced meals but nutritionally balanced.

So, what will this help you in? 

It is going to increase your metabolic system, it will increase your energy levels throughout the day. You are going to get constant energy after every few hours. Yet your metabolism is increasing and your calorie is going to burn first. So, smaller meals is the key for a healthy day. Then the next point which we can take care of is to have plenty of fluids. Have a lot of water, have a lot of green tea, herbal tea. This is going to decrease the water attention of your body. Also, this is going to help you fight anger. Because at times, we think that we are hungry but no, we are thirsty at times. So, whenever you are going to have a glass or two full of water, you are gonna feel less hungry. Treat yourself, finally. After doing all this throughout the day yes everybody has some or the other irresistible food which we really want to have. It can be your mom made paratha /curry chawal/rajma chawal .

Yes I totally and It will strengthen your metabolic system, it will increase your energy levels throughout the day, your metabolism will increase and will burn out more calories.

  • So, smaller meals are the key for a healthy day. Next point to take care of is to have plenty of fluids.
  • Have plenty of water, green teas, herbal teas. This will help in decrease the water retention in your body. It will also help you to fight hunger.
  • Also after going through this routine, make sure you treat yourself once a week as this helps in increasing your metabolism.

Hi apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

get ur thyroid profile checked...avoid oily n spicy food.. take small meals drink 1 glass of water before meals... 1 hr aerobics daily is must...take medohar vati 2 tab twice daily n 1 tsf triphla churna at night with luke warm water.

Take half cup of apple juice and half cup of beet root juice. Mix apple juice with beetroot juice. Add honey to this and stir well to mix. Have this juice twice a day. Take one teaspoon of black sesame seeds, milk (1 cup), Honey or jaggery (-1-2 tsp) and warm water to soak sesame seeds. Soak sesame seeds in warm water for 2 hours. Grind it to get a paste. Strain and mix it with a cup of milk. Add honey or jaggery and mix well. Have this sesame flavored milk daily.

Hello, Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Hi Raghu, You are not supposed to do exercise or play cricket atleast 2 hours after having your meal. It is not good for your digestion and metabolism. Have healthy meals and exercise after the food has got digested.

You can definitely reduce Fat ,Follow this Low calorie, normal protein, vitamins and minerals, low carbohydrate, low fat and liberal fluid, high fibre diet is recommended. 1) There is no other way of reducing weight except by consuming less calories. 2) Deep fried, processed foods, pickles, papads, pastries, biscuits, nuts, chocolates, ice creams, deserts should be completely avoided. 3) During business meetings go for plain rice with thin dals and lots of salads. 4) Dinner should be taken as early as possible 5) Simple sugars, nuts, dry fruits ( except almonds and walnuts) should be restricted. 6) Small frequent meals ( containing high fibre, low fat ,moderate to low carbohydrates , moderate proteins, normal vitamins and minerals)with regular exercise is beneficial. 7) Begin your meal with a big bowl of salad or soups. 8) Drink plenty of water. 9) Do not skip meals 10) Prefer roasted /grilled /steamed/boiled food items. 11) Tea consumption should be reduced . Replace tea with organic green tea. Do not have tea along with any meal. 12) Consumption of full cream milk will increase fat percentage so skimmed milk is a good option. Avoid -Rice, Sugar ,Potato ,Sweets,Beet , Ghee, fried foods,j unkfood ,vada, samosa, bhajji, Banana ,Grapes ,Chickoo,Seetaphal ,Mango Avoid Mutton ,organ meats, egg yolk, buffaloes milk, cheese, paneer ,pizza ,burger,Choclates etc. Have 2-3 Cups of ecovalley green Tea ,it will help reducing Weight & Fat.

If you have thick hair, you need to be checked for your hormones plus ultrasound ovaries plus laser hair reduction. If not controlled, might have to take medicines. Can consult for detail history and investigation.

Do the lab investigation like s. Tsh, s. Vitamin b12 and cbc. Revert back to me with these reports. In between you can try below mention tips there are number of reason for hair fall. If it is due to some systemic cause then systemic cause should be treated. Some tips are given below for prevention of hair fall. 1. Eat healthy and balanced food like pulses(soyabin is best for hair), egg, green leafy vegetables, fishes, fruits and nuts etc. 2. Drink more water (12 to 15 glass per day) 3. I am taking tablets daily the following as described below. 1. Concor 5 - 1 no + ecosprin 75 - for morning 2. Rosuvas 20 - 1 no - during night. Both are after food. I had undergone anagiogram. My cholestral lvels were too high. Now it has brought down to considerably low. Cant the above tablets are not stopped at one point of time. Hello dear patient. High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style . Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. garlic,.
