Yesterday Ifelt a mild pain in my molar but it went away in a couple of minutes, there is no cavity and I am past my wisdom tooth age. Should I see a dentist or let it be.

It may b cavitation or gum disease. You need cleaning or removal of cavitation. You ned to consult a dentist.

I am 24 years old and i am chewing gutkha tobacco since two years and now my half mouth is not opening and half is opening and my half lips became black.

You have symptoms of oral submucous fibrosis. You need to completely stop chewing tobacco products, betel nut, red chillies and avoid tomato seeds. Good news is treatment is possible at this stage provided you stop consuming ghutka and tobacco. See a dentist who is willing to treat or go to govt dental hospital in your locality. Treatment is not expensive. Remember that no treatment will help if you continue consuming tobacco and betel nut. Discontinue these habits before it is too late.

What are the ways to get rid of mouth ulcers? I usually suffer from it.
Take cap bnc one a day local application of metroggyl gel over ulcers, suck on tab bifilac twice daily, drink plenty of water, take fibrous food.

Get the cleaning done from dentist because one of the most common reason for bad smell is deposits of tartar or plaques around the teeth. By cleaning it will be removed.

Ive been chewing tobacco since too long but now my jaws and skin has so much stiffed up that I can not open my mouth properly. If I try to do so it pains alot. My dentist told me to remove the last tooth of the upper side, Is it safe to rove upper tooth? Can it effect the brain?

Quit habits strictly. Seems like you have oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF). Kindly consult an oral & maxillo facial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need conservative or surgical management for mouth opening depending upon the stage of OSMF .Advise full mouth opening, ballooning exercise & side to side movement of the jaw. Wrap 25 to 30 ice-cream sticks, make a bundle, put it between upper & lower front teeth for 15 minutes thrice a day increase 1 sticks each day.

You need to consult a dentist who has expertise in implant surgery.He/She will suggest you a CBCT of perticular area which will depict 3d view of your bone. From this your dentist can plan a surgery according to your case.Implants is a safe procedure if done properly and a best option for replacing a missing tooth. Find a good Dental Implant Specialist. Prolongation technique prolongation technique that means prolong the vowels, syllables and words. Example" caaaarr for car" for more details consult speech therapist. Read the books through prolongation technique. Do this technique for 15 to 20 days to reduce the rate of speech.

7 years back I hurt my front tooth. 3 years back I dropped my mobile phone on the gums of the same tooth. Slowly the tooth color changed. One month back pain started in the root of the same tooth. I've taken an x-ray, the abscess appear to be spreading to the root of next tooth. Can this be treated without disturbing the shape of my tooth from outside?

In such a case , Root canal treatment is the only option.Please do it as soon as possible before the infection spreads. After RCT or root canal treatment the tooth will become weka and may break. So it is necessary to reduce the size of the tooth and place a cap on top of it. So the shape of the tooth will have to be altered , but you can use a cap which resembles the natural tooth as much as possible. The only other option will be removing the tooth completely. So at least you can save some of the natural tooth structure by doing an RCT.

Tooth pain is due to cavity formation and if the bleeds then may be its pulp is exposed and heavily swollen. But if your gum is bleeding then it is due to gingivitis. Go to your local dentist's office asap.

Prevention starts with good dental care habits. Brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss once a day. Flossing reaches the places the toothbrush can’t, about one-third of the tooth surface. Practice good overall health habits. Eating a wellbalanced diet and quitting smoking improves your overall health and your oral health. A professional cleaning done in the dental office is the only effective way to remove the hardened tarter that leads to gum disease. Also one of the things your dentist looks for during an examination is any sign of gum disease.

You need to go see a dentist. If your problem can be treated by scaling itself there will be no need for extraction or bridges/implants. Your problem can be treated by a simple procedure called splinting.

Still water and milk are good choices. It is better for your teeth if you drink fruit juices just at meal times. If you are drinking them between meals, try diluting them with water and rinsing your mouth with water after drinking. Drinking through a straw can help the drink go to the back of your mouth without touching your teeth.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks.

--even before your baby starts teething, run a clean, damp washcloth over the gums to clear away harmful bacteria.
-- massage the gum pads of your infants during teething, as it will help the smooth eruption of the teeth without irritation.(as massaging will increase the blood flow in the area).
--once your baby gets teeth, brush them with an infant toothbrush. Use water and a tiny bit of fluoride toothpaste (about the size of a grain of rice). You can use fluoride or non fluoride toothpaste (mind it keep the size of toothpaste about the size of rice grain because you still want to minimize any toothpaste that is swallowed.)
--around age 2, your child should learn to spit while brushing. Avoid giving your child water to swish and spit because this might make swallowing toothpaste more likely.
--kids ages 3 and up should use only a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste.
--always supervise kids younger than 6 while brushing, as they are more likely to swallow toothpaste.

Involuntary Oral Habits That Are Eating Away Your Smile.

Clenching or night grinding.

If you have ever experienced a strong emotion of either anger or resolve you may realise our body tenses up and our teeth clench. If this is not a frequent occurrence the damage maybe minimal but as sports people or someone with a bad temper you may actually end up wearing down your teeth considerably. Now a large part of this habit is semi voluntary you can remind yourself to control it but a few people suffer from an entirely involuntary condition called night grinding or bruxism.

Unfortunately here you have no awareness of doing the grinding except maybe waking up with a sore jaw or a headache but the person sleeping beside you can even hear you gnashing your teeth. Needless to say the damage this is silent destroyer is causing is significant and rapid. The best solution if diagnosed with this habit is to start wearing a night guard which is a thin plastic appliance that fits snugly on your teeth similar to a sports guard so that it protects your teeth and wears down before your teeth do. Also the jaw separation it creates puts your muscles at ease and they don't get activated or clench anymore.

Mouth breathing.

Many people are unaware of this habit entirely. A very common condition mouth breathing occurs more so when you're sleeping and tend to breathe more through your mouth than your nose.

This condition can be a result of the way your nasal passages and throat are shaped. It commonly occurs in people with a deviated nasal septum as well. The main sign to know if you're mouth breathing or not is if you wake up with an extremely dry mouth, at times bad breathe and tend to have red irritated gums that bleed often on brushing.

Mouth breathing also predisposes you to snoring so if you haven't started yet if you're a mouth breather chances are you will start snoring as well.

It usually can be corrected surgically and if not severe snoring particularly can be corrected by oral appliances or oxygen machines which supplement the air reaching your lungs.

Tongue thrusting.

This habit develops at childhood or birth and is also attributed to the tongue shape and the structure of the palate and throat. A person having this habit tends to push the teeth out while swallowing as a result they present with spaced out teeth and a large tongue.

To prevent the need for braces catching this habit early on and wearing an appliance to control it would be best. If spaces have already increased then best form of closing the gaps would be either with braces or by cosmetic fillings.

Cheek biting.

A surprisingly unnoticeable habit people tend to chew their inner cheek or parts of their lip when under stress or deep thought. While this habit can seem harmless it can create a long term wound in the mouth which can either balloon up with fluids or be subject to infection. Chronic injuries or wounds should never be left unnoticed and habits like these should be discontinued to avoid discomfort and the eventual need for treatment.

Exposure to alternating extremes of temperature.

Another very ignorant but seemingly harmless habit is to eat a hot meal and down it with a glass of ice cold water or have a hot drink and second it with ice cream. While the effects of this habit may only show up in the long term what it does is create an impact on the enamel and slowly cause the teeth to become sensitive.

While our teeth are extremely hardy and don't breakdown until exposed to hundreds of millions of such daily stimuli, the best solution is to keep an intermittent time gap between the extremes of temperature in order not to shock the nerves that rest within your teeth to become hypersensitive.
