In majority of the cases irregular menses are accredited to hormonal imbalance, but in some cases it may be pathological and secondary to some pathology of ovaries mostly. Now if you want to regularized the menses then you must establish permanent balanced first and this can be achieved only with homoeopathy, because in modern medicine we get only a hormonal support with a very temporary relief. But with homoeopathy you can strike the hormonal balance permanently which later on also give you regular menses even if you stop the medicine.

How to reduce pcod problem naturally and suggest the diet to take and avoid? Please tell me.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
We’ve heard over and over again that weight loss is important in managing PCOS and that diet and exercise are more effective than medications in improving your PCOS symptoms 1. Eat organic food. Avoid junk. 2. Drink lots of water. 3. Exercise regularly. Brisk walking is a good idea to keep weight under control. 4. Visit nature places and spend time alone. 5. Take steps to calm your mind. Worrying about the problem can only make it worse – listen to music, read or spend time gardening. Butterfly Pose can be very helpful in PCOS. Don’t flap your legs too much; instead try holding the posture for long. 1. Even more helpful is SuptaBadhakonasana (Reclining Butterfly Pose), which works just like the Butterfly Pose, this time lying down. This is what makes it extremely relaxing. To enhance the experience, play some soft music and place cushions under your hip. For beginners, it is a good idea to use cushion support while doing this posture. 2. Bharadvajasana (Bharadvaja’s Twist) is a seated spinal twist that helps PCOS patients. 3. Chakki Chalanasana (moving the grinding wheel) is a very simple exercise with several benefits. It helps massage the liver, kidneys, pancreas, uterus and the reproductive organs. 4. Shavasana (Corpse Pose) is another useful posture to try. In PCOS, the more you relax, the better you feel and this posture will help you completely relax at the end of your yoga session. 5. Padma Sadhana practice is also considered very effective for PCOS patients. 6. Make sure you don’t hold the postures that put pressure on the abdomen (Bow Pose, Superman Pose, Cobra Pose and Boat Pose) for a long time. 7. A few rounds of Sun Salutation at a faster pace can be good for weight loss; however, it is a good idea to practice only a few slow rounds daily for more relaxation. •

Hi, am 25 and want to know about hymenoplasty. Is this facility available at your clinic, if yes then what could be the associated risk and estimated cost for this. Thanks in advance.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Hymenoplasty is a simple surgical procedure involving reconstruction of the hymen (a thin membrane inside the vagina. The surgery last for around 30-45 minutes. Using a surgical technique, the torn edges of the hymen are put back together. If done correctly, to the visible eye, there is no scarring and the hymen appears intact. There are no risks of hymen reconstruction (hymenoplasty), and is always without any complications. The recovery time is less than a day. After the hymenoplasty operation, the patient can return to work next day and complete healing takes approximately 6-8 weeks. Hospital stay is only 5-6 hrs. It costs around 35K to 50K depending on the facility you opt for.

To get pregnant you need to have fallopian tubes patent which is checked by hsg test and semen should be adequate quality which is checked by semen analysis. These both tests are done before the treatment of any infertile couple. Once the above tests are normal, then treatment with clomiphene citrate is started with monitoring of egg. You need to consult a good gynecologist who would start proper treatment for u.

Natural Cycle IVF

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Natural Cycle IVF

Natural Cycle IVF

  • What is natural cycle IVF?

Natural cycle IVF involves collecting and fertilising the one egg that you release during your normal monthly cycle. No fertility drugs are used in this treatment.

  • Is natural cycle IVF for me?

It may be worth discussing this treatment option with your clinician if your periods are fairly regular and you are ovulating normally, but:

you are unable to take fertility drugs (for example, cancer patients or those whose clinician has suggested that they are at risk of OHSS “ ovarian hyper-stimulation “ a dangerous over-reaction to fertility drugs) because for personal or religious beliefs you do not wish to have surplus eggs or embryos destroyed or stored.

  • How does natural cycle IVF work?

The treatment is the same as conventional IVF, but without the fertility drugs that are used to stop natural egg production and hormones that boost the supply of eggs.

As your ovaries are’nt being artificially stimulated, you don’t need to rest as you would after conventional IVF.

If your treatment is unsuccessful, you can try again sooner if you wish.

I am removed my both ovaries last 4th years ago. Now I have started some pain in my stomach. Kindly advise for the same.
This stomach/abdominal pain could be due to several reasons - non-clearance of bowels/gas/bulky uterus/muscular pull/cramps due to dysentry etc The cause needs to be identified and then treated Please do a USG of whole abdomen to rule out any issue with the abdominal organs. Take plenty of water Balance diet Also take Colocynth 30 - thrice daily 4 pills for next 3-4 days Continue treatment.
