My blood pressure is very high Mujhe kam karne ke liye kya krna hoga.

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
My blood pressure is very high Mujhe kam karne ke liye kya krna hoga.
Dietary and other lifestyle changes can help you control and prevent high blood pressure. Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 mm hg. This eating plan is known as the dietary approaches to stop hypertension (dash) diet. Get plenty of potassium, which can help prevent and control high blood pressure. Eat less saturated fat and total fat. If you're overweight, losing even 3 kgs can lower your blood pressure. Strive for at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day. Plenty of fluids orally. I suggest brisk walking for 40 mins, 5 days a week. Remain stress free as much as possible. Take your medicines regularly. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies.

You are having stage 2 chronic kidney disease, in your case, probably due to age only. Follow up on the creatinine levels. Meanwhile, get a urine routine examination and ultrasound abdomen and consult a physician or a nephrologist.

I am 42 years old been through bypass surgery 8 years back nowadays while walking after 5 minutes I start having lil pain and heaviness un my chest and I continue walking then it goes high and afted few minutes if I continue walking it decreases gradually and becomes normal. I have done my all tests done and they are normal. Kindly suggest.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), MD - Ayurveda
Ayurveda, Mumbai
Dear , you had a bypass at an age of 34 which is very young. When you say your reports are normal if possible please share. Since when this problem has started. I feel there would be an issue with one of the graft when you start walking there is an ischemia which is gradually getting covered through a collateral as you proceed with the exercise. It could be a fairly dangerous and my opinion is that you please do not neglect the same. In investigations I would like to suggest a cardiac pet ct with a myocardial viability done along with if possible a nuclear medical stress test. Continue with your medications. For more information please write to me.

Thank you for the query. Prior to starting your medication (stamlo 2.5 mg) your bp was 150/90 mm of hg. The present control of bp is probably due to your medication. If you stop it there may be a sudden shoot up. It is important to reduce your oral salt intake. Please consult your physician before taking any decision to stop the drug. Even if the medicine is stopped, your bp must be monitored to look for any rise. Regards.

My brother gets acute pain around his left ankle and some pain around his right ankle when he walks for about 15 minutes. The pain subsides on resting for 5-10 minutes. There is no pain when resting. Our doctor advised a blood circulation test to check if it's a case of peripheral artery disease. The test was carried out in his right leg only and blood circulation was found to be normal. Does this mean that blood circulation in his left leg would also be OK given that the test was carried only on his right leg?

Diet for a patient of heart problem - should include vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Avoid high-fat foods eg red meat, cheese and high-sodium foods (such as canned or processed foods). Take oats, salads, and low salt in your diet. Avoid fatty foods. Food rich in fibre is good for them. Apart from diet moderate exercise is also essential. Hope this helps you.
