Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. Most importantly if you are overweight then losing weight is an important part of the whole treatment plan .Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful Treatment for back pain:- Homoeopathic medicines are very helpful. They not only treat the acute stages but are also used for the treatment of chronic back pain.Selection of the exact remedy depends upon the individual symptoms of the person.So share the complete symptom picture for the proper treament. Hi Rajeev. A good course of antibiotics will help along with applications of antibiotic cream at the area. I can understand, it must be pretty painful for her. Just get her a treated soon. Meanwhile applying cool ice packs to the area will give some relief.

1. Take one tablet of crocin pain relief sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2. Apply volini gel twice daily 3. Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest if you have recurrent attack of neck pain a) take x ray/mri cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b) sometimes it could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest, use soft pillow while sleeping c) do physio therapy and neck exercise after consulting physiotherapist.

Hi, in 2013 oct i fell down from bike and my knee cap had some crack , doctor suggested me to wear a immobilized bracefor 45 days,where i cant bend my knee, know my knee slightly pain and there is cracking sound ,from the begining i am asking the doctor , but he is saying that it wil cured by its own , kindly suggest me wat to do ?

As per your history it seems you would have had a minor injury as far as the bony component is concerned. But falling from bike and persistent pain since Oct 2013 ie more than a year is not Ok. There are structures in the knee joint like the miniscus which would have got torn and is the cause of persistent pain. Consult Orthopaedic doctor

This could be due to oa knee &/or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Contact me again, if needed.

Hi * Prone lying is the best exercise for maintaining erect posture. Lie face down on a firm surface, such as the floor or a firm bed. In case you are uncomfortable, you can place a pillow under your chest and a folded towel under your forehead. It's often helpful to do this posture training after a warm bath or shower or whenever the body is warmed up. *Try sleeping on a firm, but not hard, bed to maintain a good, non-bent resting posture at night. Avoid using a pillow, to prevent pain from over-extension of the neck and spine. *Splints, braces, and corsets are generally not advised for spondylitis patients. *Hardback, upright chairs or straight-backed rocking chairs are better for your posture than low, soft, upholstered chairs or sofas. Use a cushion behind your lower back to give extra support and help you keep good posture. *try to seat at the proper height and don’t sit in one position for too long without moving your back. *Try doing specific strengthening and flexibility exercises under guidance of physiotherapist. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned low back pain with radiating pain in legs which is an indication that there is a nerve compression in spine. Also mention whether there are any other neurological symptoms in legs like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc also present? I will require: - a detailed neurological charting of lower limbs (motor, sensory and evaluation of deep reflexes) preferable done by an experienced doctor or a physical therapist - dynamic x ray of your involved region of spine done - mri ls spine meanwhile you should continue with: to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you, also medications for neuropathic symptoms like tab pregabalin or tab gabapentin can be added in small doses for relief of leg symptoms - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. I am 35 male. Recently got my ankle fractured along with a ligament tear (this is what the Dr. told me after X Ray). Used a pain killer along with phlogam for a week. The review x-ray showed improvement and I was told to stop the pain killer but continue phlogam tablet. Now I started feeling terrible pain whenever I lower my leg. I feel like there speed of the liquid increases and I feel the pain in my foot. Please help.

U can comfortable wear shoes either shilper you can feel in walking very comfortable some pain is remove because your ligament tear so some days you tack physiotherapy, he/she give you WEX, US, IFT+ exercise= removed pain then you feeling better but you can also take hot water & a towel deep in hot water your foot you can at home physiotherapy self physiotherapy is must ok.
