Hye. In order to lose weight you must either eat sensibly and exercise to burn off calories. Eat as per the body's needs. Food that is not used to fuel the body is stored as fat. A major component of losing weight is to make smarter food choices. Here's how: limit non-nutritious foods, such as: sugar, honey, syrups and candy, pastries, donuts, pies, cakes and cookies, soft drinks, sweetened juices and alcoholic beverages cut down on high-fat foods by: choosing poultry, fish or lean red meat. Choosing low-fat cooking methods, such as baking, broiling, steaming, grilling and boiling. Avoiding high-fat snacks like chips and chocolate. Avoiding fried foods. Using less margarine and mayonnaise. Avoiding high-fat gravies, cream sauces and cream-based dishes. Eat a variety of foods, including: fruit and vegetables, whole grains, breads, cereal, rice and pasta, dairy products, such as low-fat or non-fat milk or yogurt, low-fat cottage cheese and low-fat cheese, protein-rich foods like chicken, fish, dals and legumes, or beans should be included in your diet. Change your eating habits: eat three balanced meals a day to help control your hunger. Watch portion sizes and eat small servings of a variety of foods. Choose low-calorie snacks. Eat only when you are hungry and stop when you are satisfied. Eat slowly and try not to perform other tasks while eating. Find other activities to distract you from food, such as walking, taking up a hobby or being involved in the community. Include regular exercise in your daily routine.

I am 28 years and having pcod. I am irregular with periods with a gap of 50-60 days. This month I didnt get periods after 75 days. What shall I do?

Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss.

Hi lybrate-user, first of all if you are loosing weigt fast so you must go for thyroid profile test and hb test. You can maintain your healthy weight through healthy diet. The best way to gain weight naturally is through good diet and exercise. For weight gain you must: 1. Take more of proteins like milk and milk products, pulses, soyabean and its products, eggs, chicken etc. 2. Carbohydrates rich diet with sufficient amount of fibre. 3. Intake of vitamins and minerals should be proper. 4. Intake of water should be 3-4 litres. 5. Take proper rest and sleep. 6. Avoid tensions. 7. Exercise is also very important along with a good diet.

Our body is set at a particular pattern in addition to our specific body requirements. Our body requires minimum 6-7 hrs. Of sleep but sleeplessness can occur due to tensions, anxiety,using gadgets prior to sleep timing, excess use of tea/coffee. Please try to relax at bedtime or whenever you are trying to fall asleep. Hye, Thanks for the query. Being underweight can be a concern if it's the result of poor nutrition. Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: Eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals.Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, rice and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes. Snack on nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of cake or ice cream is fine. But most sweets should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Sheera, lassi and chikki are good choices. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

Heavy bleeding sometimes is normal, but if it is regular, it means the pitta dosha is increased in body. Give her cooling foods like coconut, ghee, milk etc. Avoid salt, spices, sour foods, junk foods, tea coffee etc. If the problem persists, then medicine may have to be given. Hi of course irregular periods will cause difficulty for conception in near future. And your age is nearing 30also. If periods are irregular ovulation won't be proper and healthy ovum will not be there for a healthy baby. So please take initiative for menses correction.

Well delayed mens may be due to the I. Pill I think..as u have done sex in safe period that is after 21 days of menstrual cycle soo chances of getting pregnant is very less..wait another 4-5 days atlst...then after that check urine for pregnancy..

Every person has a different body structure don't compare yours to any body else eat good healthy nutrious food with lots of vegetables fruits creels pulses milk no veg if you eat that and some nuts everyday you should exercise also everyday to keep a good healthy and fit body it is better to make a daily schedule with all the activities and follow it regularly.
