Sir he is suffering from night fall irregularly. Will it have its negative effect after his marriage?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, For him: Your body is doing what it was made to do. Wet dreams are nothing to feel guilty about, so don't beat yourself up over something that's a perfectly normal function of your body. Home remedies for nightfall: -Individuals suffering from the condition can also opt to drink a glass of fresh bottle gourd juice every day, preferably at night in order to prevent nightfall. -Grind some fenugreek leaves or seeds and extract the juice.Add some water to the juice (one cup to 2 tbsp.). Add a few drops of honey for taste as well. Drink the juice before bed time every day to curb nightfall effectively. -Drinking a glass of warm almond milk at night before going to bed can relax the mind and body, and literally lull you to sleep and is one of the best known home remedies for recurrent wet dreams. Management: -Sleep on your back. -Wear loose fitting clothes . -Avoid spicy foods and stimulants (coffee and other substances that contain caffeine, especially late at night). -It'll be much easier to control your sexual urges if you avoid pornography, sexual programming on television, and other media. Fill your time with enriching, fulfilling activities and avoid dwelling on thoughts of sex. -Try practicing yoga. -Develop a healthy relationship with sex. If you're sexually active, communicate with your partner to maintain a healthy and open sexual relationship that keeps you both fulfilled. In some cases, big changes or stressful periods reportedly produce more wet dreams than at other more relaxed periods of leisure. Make sure you get enough sleep and exercise, and take time off from your busy schedule to relax and do things that you enjoy. Pick up new hobbies to fill your free time with fun activities and relax when you get the chance to relax. Medication: Phosphoric Acid 30/ thrice daily for 4 weeks.

Allergies

MBBS, DDV
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Allergies

Allergies are among the most common chronic conditions worldwide. Allergy symptoms range from making you miserable to putting you at risk for life-threatening reactions.

An allergic reaction begins in the immune system. Our immune system protects us from invading organisms that can cause illness. If you have an allergy, your immune system mistakes an otherwise harmless substance as an invader. This substance is called an allergen. The immune system overreacts to the allergen by producing antibodies. These antibodies travel to cells that release chemicals, causing an allergic reaction.

A number of different allergens are responsible for allergic reactions. The most common include:
•    Pollen
•    Dust
•    Food
•    Insect stings
•    Animal dander
•    Mold
•    Medications
•    Latex

We have different allergy profiles to detect the type of allergy and its severity. Allergy is done by blood test.If you know your allergy you can easily avoid it.

Hello sir. I'm 20 years old guy. I'm wearing glasses since 2008. My power is close to -6.00 to -6.50 in both eyes. I can't see anything clear if I remove my glasses. Please help me to decrease my power & if possible remove my glasses. I'l surely do whatever it takes to. I just want to remove my glasses & make my eye healthy again. Thanks allot.

General Physician, Nashik
It seems from the history that you are having refractive error in the form of myopia of -6 and -6.5 dioptres. The treatment for this is by the use of spectacles and contact lenses as you are doing now. The refractive power becomes stable after the age of 18-20 years. Since you are 20 now this refractive power will not usually show any further variation. You can correct this completely by refractive laser surgeries like LASIK. This is the only curative treatment for refractive errors. No medicine can correct this problem. Use of foods rich in vitamin A like carrots, green leafy vegetables and fish if you are non vegetarian will help in providing good eye health but this will not decrease the refractive power. Similarly medicines like vitamin A supplements, antioxidants will help in providing good eye health. Hence food and medicine will help in providing good eye health, but if you want to avoid use of spectacles or contact lenses, then only option available is refractive laser surgeries like LASIK.

Dear lybrate-user, Welcome to Lybrate. Tobacco is addictive. Cigarette also contains 4000+ carcinogenic chemicals other than nicotine. Nicotine and other chemicals can cause cancer of different types and areas. Throat cancer, mouth cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer and brain problems can result. Over and above smoking may also increase the risk factor of heart attack and brain stroke. Please quit smoking. The best method is to leave it and continue with your will power. There are other methods like Nicotine Replacement therapy and pharmacotherapy combined. If you’re ready to stop smoking and willing to get the support you need, you can recover from nicotine addiction and abuse abuse—no matter how bad the addiction or how powerless you feel. The first step in treating nicotine addiction is accepting that you have a problem. Confronting an addiction and accepting responsibility for your actions isn’t easy. But it’s a necessary step on the road to treatment and recovery. You should then consult a psychiatrist / psychologist who fill follow this treatment. 1. Detoxification using medicines. 2. Behavior modification with the help of therapies. 3. Counseling. 4. Medication to sustain and 5. Long term support. These given steps are essential for any addict to get effectively rid of smoking. Therefore, you need to stick to the treatment plan and cooperate with your psychiatrist / psychologist. Mind power building therapy, motivation therapy etc should help you doing so. I suggest you to consult a psychologist or de addiction therapist. Take care.

I am 19 years old male. I was masturbating once in two days. After masturbating, I am getting sleep immediately. Is that a problem. What should I do?

MBBS
General Physician,
Musterbating at your age quite normal. But you should do it in moderation say twice a month or so to avoid future sexual life like erectyle dysfunction and premature ejaculation and concentration of sperms. Have healthy nutritious food. Go for regular morning walk followed by free hand exercise and take plenty of water by mouth. It will be alright.

I am having problem in my backbone from last 2 months. It only start while sleeping. Please help me to get rid of this problem. Thank you.

MSc in Orhopedic Physiotherapy (UK), BPTh/BPT

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -some physiotherapy treatment like ift can give you some relief. -a physical therapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them.

I am 24 years old. Since last 9 months I have been having scanty periods. Light red bleeding lasting only 3 days . My normal period would last 5 days with proper bleeding. I took ayurvedic medicine for 3 months and for 3 months my periods were fine. But again as soon as I stopped the medicine they started becoming scanty. In Aug 2015 I had a scan that showed polycystic appearing ovaries I haven't taken any tests or treatment for it. I will definitely go to a gynecologist now and get required tests done. As off now. I am worried about this one thing. I read on the net that scanty periods is due to high prolactin which is caused by tumor in pituitary gland. Is this true? I understand a doctor can give diagnosis only after testing but Going by my symptoms does it look like tumor? I am otherwise very healthy. I am not overweight. Even though my periods are scanty I get them regularly. I don't smoke drink and my exercise includes yoga and brisk walk. Also just a week before I am about to get my periods I started breaking acne on forehead which goes away immediately after periods. Please help. Does this problem look worrisome?

Hi lybrate user your problem is more of hormonal imbalance. Please don't worry about prolactinoma if you don't have other symptoms like headache, blurring of the vision. PCOD is known for above period pattern. You should worry about fertility issue. You may need ovulation induction when planning for baby .

My face is full of acne for 4 years. Also I have been masturbating since 4 years. Does both are related? If no How can I get rid of that without medicine (since I have a lot of antibiotics before )?

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Masturbation is normal, natural and never unhealthy. Even animals do masturbate. As a human being, you are an animal. Every animal has sexual instinct because they are designed to reproduce. Human being also has sexual instinct and therefore he needs to satisfy sexual instinct. Therefore, to satisfy sexual instinct, a man or woman, masturbates. In any case, masturbation is never unhealthy or will never affect your physical or sexual health. Masturbation cannot affect your growth or cause pimples or cause hair fall. You should try to reduce the masturbation frequency to thrice a week and continue masturbation. You can be sure, there are no side effects to masturbation if you are able to restrict it to thrice a week. I suggest online sex counseling and therapy. Take care.
