For stretch marks, you should have started before they appear, that is before 4 th month. Apply a mixture of coconut oil+olive oil +castor oil after warming it. Apply 2-3 times a day and keep for 1 hour. Then wash.

Well. It's an uncommon problem but it makes patients suffer a lot. There are 2 possibilities- 1) fistula. 2) Bladder endometriosis. SO, we need to examine you and advise certain tests to confirm diagnosis and then start treatment.

I have a 3 years old daughter and am worried about my post baby tummy. I did not have a normal delivery. How can I reduce my tummy n also have a loose skin.

Post pregnancy weight gain or belly fat is more than often due to lack of nutrition and exercise. Also you cannot target one body part. You have to work on overall loss and toning. Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss.

You would know you normal time of periods. Bleeding can happen due to other reasons also like break of hymen if first intercourse, infection, or local trauma etc. If you are still confused why did you bleed then meet a gynaecologist for consultation. Also if unprotected sex then gynaecologist will suggest you what to take to avoid pregnancy. Do not take drugs either by yourself or hearsay. It is dangerous.

Hello, if your pregnancy test is negative it means you are not pregnant and possibly there is some other reason of missed periods. Irregular periods may because of:- uncontrolled diabetes eating disorders hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism hyperprolactinemia (an abnormally high concentration in the blood of prolactin, a protein hormone) medications, such as antiepileptics or antipsychotics perimenopause polycystic ovary syndrome (pcos) take pulsatilla200 ch, 5 drops, once daily in the morning for 7 days. If menses start in between 7 days then please stop. If menses do not start even after taking this medicine then we will go for investigations.

Dear user. FERTILE PHASE is the phase of a female's menstrual cycle when an egg (ovule) is released from the ovaries. In humans, ovulation occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, after the follicular phase. The few days surrounding ovulation (from approximately days 10 to 18 of a 28 day cycle), constitute the most fertile phase. So if you have ejaculatory sexual inter course from day 10 from the first day of period and to day 20, the chances of pregnancy are much more. There are many determinants of pregnancy. You should be sexually matured. Your partner should be sexually matured. The period of your partner should be in the fertile stage. Her egg and your sperm cells should healthy enough. Then her uterus should be capable to get conceived. If all these were satisfied, the pregnancy could be a result. Take care.

Shower - 6 Reasons Why You Should Never Skip

Shower - 6 Reasons Why You Should Never Skip

While many of us wish we could stay under the shower all day in the summers, winters and lazy Sundays find many of us making excuses to skip a shower. However, having a shower not only keeps you clean, it also plays an important part in keeping you healthy and fit. According to Ayurveda, a morning shower is an essential part of the daily routine and is considered as a therapeutic activity. Here are a few reasons you should never skip a morning shower.

  1. It calms your muscles: A shower reduces tension in your muscles and can help relax sore muscles. It also helps increase flexibility and muscle elasticity. If you’ve slept awkwardly and woken up with a stiff neck, a shower can help ease the stress and make you more comfortable. Thus, a simple shower could save you a trip to the physiotherapist.
  2. Showers boost circulation: Showering with warm water increases blood circulation and ensures that even cells in your extremities receive nutrition. Increased blood circulation also reduces pressure on your heart and protects you against a number of cardio vascular ailments.
  3. It boosts the immune system: The core function of taking a shower is to clean the body. This reduces the number of bacteria and fungal cells that can infect you. A cold shower also stimulates the vascular and lymph system and promotes the production of white blood cells that fight infections. Showering also helps eliminate toxins that are released along with sweat.
  4. Elevates the mood: If you’re feeling blue, a shower may be what you need. Having a cold water shower activates the nervous system and increases the amounts of chemicals such as beta endorphins and noradrenaline in the blood. These chemicals help fight depression and elevate the mood. Additionally, a cold water shower also sends electrical impulses that have an anti-depressive effect from the brain.
  5. Improves lung functionality: When you put your head under water, you are forced to breathe differently. Showering makes you take a deep breath and hold it in for a few seconds before exhaling. This action opens up your lungs and increases your oxygen intake.
  6. It makes you more sociable: It’s simple; when you bathe, you smell good. This makes people want to be around you and boosts your confidence. You’re also less worried about your hair looking oily or your shoulders being dusted with dandruff when you’ve taken a shower and hence can focus your attention on conversations. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda and ask a free question.

I am going to get into a full time relationship and want to know whether contraceptive pills are 100% safe option for safe sex. My cousin got pregnant in spite of using condom and hence I don't have much faith in that. Also, as a first time user I want to know the low hormone contraceptive pills details and the doses.

Hi Nothing is 100 % safe. Failures are there in all methods. But they are very less. So don't worry. Most of the times contraceptive pills are safe for avoiding pregnancy. Regarding the pills and dose of usage, you need to tell last periods date, any medical illness in past and any medications you are on currently.

Remember there are some tabs which help to regularize period but they don't help in fact prevent pregnancy. So if you are ready to have baby now tell your gynaecologist so with focus on that treatment is given. Thyroid is another problem which need to be treated properly, check its level again to confirm proper dose. You need to meet gynaecologist only to regularize periods but for planning pregnancy you will have to consult many times in a month.

How Tracking Your Menstrual Cycles Can Be Beneficial For Your Reproductive Health?

EMDR, FRCOG (LONDON) (Fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists), MFSRH , Diploma in psychosexual therapy, Medical diploma in clinical Hypnosis, Diploma in Evidence Based Healthcare, DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS

How Tracking Your Menstrual Cycles Can Be Beneficial For Your Reproductive Health?

With an upsurge in the number of women suffering from dysfunctional reproductive systems and a myriad of gynecological problems, resulting in irregular periods, infertility and several other complications, it is of paramount importance to keep a record of the dates and duration of your monthly cycles. This is not only useful for future reference when you visit a gynecologist, but it also helps you to understand if there are delays in period or excess of bleeding in any particular month.

Why is tracking your menstrual cycles important?

Keeping a track of the menstrual cycles is a mandatory exercise for women who are thinking about pregnancy or those trying to avoid it. It is advisable to abstain from intercourse for a few days before and after the period, which is the prime time for ovulation. Keeping track of your periods gives you a clear indicator of whether you have become pregnant because delay in the menstrual onset implies pregnancy. The reverse is also true; if you are trying to get pregnant, conception is usually fruitful on these days of maximum ovulation, which you can easily calculate based on your well maintained menstrual record.

How should you go about keeping track of your menstruation?

While it not possible to note down every possible aspect of the menstruation in a notebook, the easiest way of maintaining a planner is to mark the first day of each period on the calendar. The difference between two consecutive periods will give you your cycle lengths.

In addition you can choose to make a note of how heavy the bleeding is, or if there are changes in mood and appetite on those days. You will then be well prepared for your next visit to the gynecologist.

Hello, I suggest you should get a preconceptions counselling done and get a karyotyping followed chromosomal micro array test done to learn if any genetic defects are presents which are causing recurrent abortion of for that matter she has either acquired or inherited thrombophilia which shall need adequate and regular monitoring during pregnancy. Iodinate think the issue is regarding getting pregnant but rather to maintain it till term. Regards.

Good to know that your periods are regular as this is the first proof that there is balance between male and female hormones in your body, testosterone is a male hormone present in small amounts in all women, similarly some feminine hormones are present in males but balance is maintained by nature. You must have got tested to know that you have 4 times the normal testosterone. Ultrasound is normal. My suggestion is get tested just after period, the time every hormone is minimal, same way it is highest, just before periods. Your worry is excessive hair on face and body. You need cosmetic treatment, both home remedies and removal of hair by waxing etc. Drink more water and exercise, take less fats. Do not take estrogens to counter testosterones because once the balance is spoiled by giving artificial hormones, it becomes difficult to bring back the balance. You can take evecare syrup by himalaya, just 2 spoons per day.
