Hi, My eyes feel very tired, dull and slightly red if I stay out of home for more than 4-5 hours. This spoils my face and my looks. Is there any drops or any alternate that can keep my eyes fresh the whole day when I am out. Pls note: I have power in both my eyes. Left eye is 1.75 and right eye is 0.50 something. I wear my glasses only when I am at home and try to avoid when I am outside. Please advise.
I'm 20years old boy. I'm having swelling in my both eyes and it's painful also. There also something like pimple inside eyelid. What should I do?
Daily after bath my eyes becomes red & always suffer from cold, cough & nose block. please suggest what to do?
I have undergone Vitrectomy for the retinal detachment that I suffered. The surgeon has put oil behind retina which needs to be removed. Operation was successful but the vision is very poor. I am undergoing two painful sessions of laser treatment for welding the retina in place. This will be followed by anther surgery to remove the oil and replace it with gas. All these things are very painful, costly and the end result is very poor. I am 70 year old male. My other eye is good and there is no functional disturbance. Should I undergo the second operation for replacing oil with gas? Will the second operation improve my vision? Kindly guide me. The total cost of two operations is 1.25 lac.
I have red eyes for over two days. I am not able to sleep correctly. Please help me for this. I am so consistent at my food and all daily activities. Please help me at my question. Thankyou.
Hi doctor, I have weak eyes. Its all started when I was 15 years old. I think its heredity because my father also have specs from childhood. I don't like wearing specs so I shift to contact lenses but I can use that also for 8 hrs only after that I have to use specs. I want to become ips officer so I need to have sharp eyes. My eye number is -2.25.i am very young still I have to face problem. I have 4 years only after that I have to give exam for ips officer in this 4 years I have to cure my eyes. I don't want to go for eye operation its expensive for me and after 40 everyone says nearsightedness comes I don't want that. So can you tell me any natural and fast way to cure my eyes only 4 years I have? Thank u.waiting for your reply.
Glaucoma is a disease that damages your eye's optic nerve. It usually happens when fluid builds up in the front part of your eye. That extra fluid increases the pressure in your eye, damaging the optic nerve.Glaucoma is the second largest cause of eye blindness in the world.
There are several types of Glaucoma:
- Open-angle Glaucoma
- Normal-tension Glaucoma
- Angle-closure Glaucoma
- Congenital Glaucoma
- Secondary Glaucoma
- Glaucoma suspect
How will you know that you are suffering from Glaucoma?
Only half the people with glaucoma are aware that they are suffering from this condition. When Glaucoma develops, there are usually no early symptoms. This is why glaucoma can 'steal' sight gradually.
- In its early stages, open-angle Glaucoma has no obvious symptoms. As the disease progresses more blind spots develop in the peripheral (side) view.
- An attack of angle-closure Glaucoma includes the following:
- Severe pain in the eye or forehead
- Redness of the eye
- Decreased vision or blurred vision
- Vision rainbows or halos
If you get any of the symptoms rush to your doctor and take an eye exam as soon as possible.
- Eye injury
- Inflammation of the eye
- Dilating eye drops
- Blocked or restricted drainage in your eye
- Use of steroid-containing medications (pills, eye drops, sprays)
- Poor or reduced blood flow to your optic nerve
- High or elevated blood pressure
Who is at Risk for Glaucoma?
People with more risk of developing Glaucoma include people who:
