You are anxious, mainly because of your round the corner exam and apprehensive about your performence. Everyone has such problems lije headaches, weakness, occasional inability to concentrate etc. It is because of your anxiety that your thought process is not allowing you to concentrate and distracts you towards insecure feelings. First of all assure yourself about your capabilities on the basis of your past performances and tell yourself that you haVe done it in the past and so you can do it now too. With that resolve move ahead. You should eat normally at proper time and have a peaceful sleep of at least 6 hours. This will make you feel better towards your bodyaches and headaches. Avoid excess of tea or coffee, that initially stimultes your system but may cause lack of concentration.

Hello , having good diet and daily exercises is very good for health. Use CMD2 eye drops , 2 drop in each eye twice daily and take Kali phos 6x , 5 tabs twice daily. Revert me after 7 days.

Viewing a computer or digital screen often makes the eyes work harder. As a result, the unique characteristics and high visual demands of computer and digital screen device viewing make many individuals susceptible to the development of vision-related symptoms. Computer vision syndrom Uncorrected vision problems can increase the severity of Computer Vision Syndrome or Digital Eye Strain symptoms. Some important factors in preventing or reducing the symptoms of CVS have to do with the computer and how it is used. This includes lighting conditions, chair comfort, location of reference materials, position of the monitor, and the use of rest breaks. Location of computer screen - Most people find it more comfortable to view a computer when the eyes are looking downward. Optimally, the computer screen should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level (about 4 or 5 inches) as measured from the center of the screen and 20 to 28 inches from the eyes. Reference materials - These materials should be located above the keyboard and below the monitor. If this is not possible, a document holder can be used beside the monitor. The goal is to position the documents so you do not need to move your head to look from the document to the screen. Lighting - Position the computer screen to avoid glare, particularly from overhead lighting or windows. Use blinds or drapes on windows and replace the light bulbs in desk lamps with bulbs of lower wattage. Anti-glare screens - If there is no way to minimize glare from light sources, consider using a screen glare filter. These filters decrease the amount of light reflected from the screen. Seating position - Chairs should be comfortably padded and conform to the body. Chair height should be adjusted so your feet rest flat on the floor. If your chair has arms, they should be adjusted to provide arm support while you are typing. Your wrists shouldn't rest on the keyboard when typing. Rest breaks - To prevent eyestrain, try to rest your eyes when using the computer for long periods. Rest your eyes for 15 minutes after two hours of continuous computer use. Also, for every 20 minutes of computer viewing, look into the distance for 20 seconds to allow your eyes a chance to refocus. Blinking - To minimize your chances of developing dry eye when using a computer, make an effort to blink frequently. Blinking keeps the front surface of your eye moist. Regular eye examinations and proper viewing habits can help to prevent or reduce the development of the symptoms associated with Computer Vision Syndrome.

After cataract operation my husband has heaviness/drowsiness in the head/eyes esp. In the evenings. He is a very nervous person and after the operation he has become worse. Hello lybrate-user. Capillary hemangiomas may resolve with time. Lasik is not the solution for it. In fact lasik is for rectifying the refractive error (getting rid of the glasses) of the eye. Regarding the capillary hemangioma, it may be necessary to get it surgically removed if it persists and shows no signs of spontaneous resolution. For the time being, do not worry. Give it time. Prolonged working on laptop/tv/mobile can cause computer vision syndrome. Computer vision syndrome is a condition resulting from focusing the eyes on a computer or other display device for, uninterrupted periods of time. Some symptoms of cvs include a. Headaches b blurred vision c. Neck pain d redness in the eyes e. Eye strain f dry eyes sometimes watery eyes these symptoms can be further aggravated by improper lighting conditions. Measures to reduce this include 1. Work under proper light. 2. Blink a lot. 3. Cold compresses 4. Use good lubricating eyedrop. There is a new study which shows that prolonged use of mobile causes crossed eye.

Hello, Bloodshot eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: Eye dryness Too much sun exposure Dust or other particles in the eye Allergies Infection Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Other causes of eye redness include Colds or allergies, Acute glaucoma, Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Management: - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and wash the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4times again. - Avoid watching T.V., working on computer or mobile, reading. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Belladonna 30 and Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.

Continuously reading small print without proper light should be avoided. Smart phone may cause strain. Don't expose your eyes to extreme sunny weather of cold windy weather. Don't be closer to people with eye infections as you may contact the infection. Get your eyes tested for any vision problem. LASIK Lasers- A Double Edged Sword, Myths About Them

Considering lasik lasers (for eye glass removal) for their eye glass removal. One must read this as it has some serious implications/complications if done in haste.

There are lot of benefits by being myopic (eye power less than -3 d) and disadvantages in going for lasik laser in young age with low eye power.

You may never need glasses after 40 years (presbyopia) of age for reading if you use glasses or contact lens now instead of getting your glasses removed by lasik lasers (for powers less than - 3d and around -3d) but after lasers you may need the same so going for laser may keep you free from glass for roughly 15 to 20 years only. The myopia can come back even after lasik surgery.

There are variety of complications with lasik lasers like glare, halo and problem in colour contrast, dry eyes, problem in night vision, serious complications like corneal ectasia (may need corneal transplant) although advancement in lasers has minimized these issues still one should refrain from it since the percentage of side effects are highly underplayed

 The disadvantages according to my experience outweighs the benefits in young age for those with low myopia (-3d) and considering the risks involved and amount of side effects associated with it which are highly under reported by the doctor.

Lasik operated emmetropic (having normal eye power) are not allowed in airforce, railways and army.

If you are young and advised for lasik in haste without giving due consideration about thickness of cornea, it may result in complications after 5 years and can affect rest of your life.

If you are having high eye power (more than -3d) then there are various issue which should be taken in consideration.

 First and foremost, the corneal (outer membrane for eye) thickness must be measured by pachymetry. Indians have a thinner cornea around 400 to 450 micron as compared to western population (around 600 micron). 

The critical thickness of cornea must be above 300 micron even after lasik lasers to avoid/minimize future complications. 

Since laser burns the cornea, for removing every 1d of eye power, there is a reduction in 35 micron thickness in cornea.

 Indians with average thickness of 400 to 450 micron thickness can only go upto 35*5= 175 micron reduction to ensure that their corneal thickness remains above crucial thickness of 300 micron.

 So patients are advised to take a independent opinion from a experienced ophthalmologist preferably before going for lasik laser since procedure done on wrongly selected patient can lead to life long complication for the patient.

One can use contact lenses which have become quite advanced with time, if one does not want glasses. All that glitters is not gold and not every side effect can be predicted.

Hello, get your eyes tested from an opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Dha is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for strengthening eye muscles: -begin by partially closing your eyes; the lids should only be halfway shut. After holding for 10-15 seconds, close your eyes very slowly. Take a few deep breaths to increase oxygen in the blood. -warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. -hold a pen at arm's length. Focus your gaze on the tip of the pen. Bring the pen closer to your nose at a slow and steady pace. Repeat this exercise 5-10 times. -concentrate your vision on the tip of your nose. Then shift your gaze to an object further away, either at arm's length or 20 feet away. Then shift your eyes back to the tip of your nose. Repeat this exercise 10 times. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Begin by look to the left-most position (without moving your head) and hold to stretch your eye muscles. Hold for 5 counts. Blink and return your gaze back to look straight in front of you. Then look to the right-most position with your gaze and hold for 5 counts. Repeat 3 times, blinking between each hold. Then, repeat this exercise looking up and then down. Do not forget about blinking. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Look up and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look up to and to your left for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your left for 5 seconds. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine which will prevent further worsening and will reduce the power of your eyes. Take physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 4-6 months and instill euphrasia eye drops twice a day. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

You try to wear a proper goggle and mask if your working condition demands so. If still your eyes are swelling better meet an opthalmologist to check the condition.in the construction work you can't avoid dust smoke and all weldinghazards. If you are new it ll get accommodated after some time. Seek help from a concerned specialty person and get treated if it continues after protection too.

My eye sight was too good but from some days ive noticed that my eyesight is getting weaker. Very minor power ,& if you are above 21 yrs old , you are not going to have further increase in Myopic power ,& if you are not having headache & eyestrain you need not wear glass all the time .
