Previously it used it be -4.25/-2.0 for right and -4.0/-1.5 for left. Now it has been increased to -4.5/-3.0 for right and -4.5/-1.75 for left. Can you possibly tell me some solution to it ?

Consult urgently ophthalmologist as it can be keratoconus, a corneal thinning disorder, and do a pentacam to rule it out.

Glaucoma is a silent killer of eye sight. You need to see a good Glaucoma specialist, and take guidance. In early stages, you could do all exercises. In later stages, it is better to avoid breath holding exercises. Put drops regularly. One drop is enough. See the Dr. Once in 6 months. Other branches of medicine has no role to play.

Eye strain as the cause of headache

MS - Ophthalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Jaipur
Eye strain as the cause of headache
Commonest cause of headache is refractive error may it be very small. Hypermetropia and any type of astigmatism if not corrected properly can give mild to severe headache as well as watering from the eyes. Most often, headache patients visit neurologist who advises mri brain which is almost always normal. A patient for headache must get blood pressure checked and visit ophthalmologist to be examined after dilatation of pupil. Quite often, minor refractive errors are only detected when patient or even a child is examined after dilating the pupil. Ophthalmologist can also detect and brain problem by fundus examination. Do not neglect any headache or minor watering of eyes.

My eye sight is very poor left -4.5 and right -2.5 with glass also I can not see clearly how canni increase my eyesight.
There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 36 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

The minus power increases gradually when one is in growing age. Stay in touch with your eye doctor for your retina check up. Do not worry about the power for headache you need to do eye exercise regularly, and take breaks in between while working on computer, to relax the muscle.
