Do urine routine exam, usg kubp, blood for psa if prostate found enlarged if it's infection, you'll require antibiotics if prostate, you'll require long term therarpy.

It is unusual to have these symptoms at this age. As they are all symptoms of diabetes. But without proper investigation it is not wise to reach to any decisions. Best is to take a proper investigations. Like CBC Blood sugar fasting and PP Urine Routine and Microscopic] Renal Function test. Etc. Once we have all these results I will be able to guide further.

What is prostate? What are the reasons for its enlargement, and what is the treatment.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
What is prostate? What are the reasons for its enlargement, and what is the treatment.
The prostate is a gland in men. The prostate grows larger due to an increase in the number of cells (hyperplasia). However, the precise reason for this increase is unknown. A variety of factors may be involved, including androgens (male hormones), estrogens, growth factors and other cell signaling pathways. Once the diagnosis of prostate enlargement is made, your doctor may not recommend immediate treatment if symptoms are mild. Likely, one or more exams will be conducted per year to be sure that you are not developing any complications from prostate enlargement. Should your symptoms become more severe, both medical and surgical treatments are available.

Suffering from rectal prolapse problem from childhood. No pain and no bleeding, When I going toilet in that time only Coming, please give suggestions.

General Surgeon, Pune
Mr. lybrate-user. You should consult a surgeon before the prolapse becomes irreducible and causes further complications. If you are sure its rectal prolapse than it might require surgical management most probably. In the mean while, consume high fiber diet like green leafy vegetables, fruits. Drink atleast three liters of water a day. Increase your physical activity. Regards

Dear sir, if both problems are present simultaneously, then it is important to evaluate properly before treating. For kidney stones, a 24 hour urine metabolic work up including calcium, uric acid, phosphorus, sodium, oxalate, citrate, magnesium and creatinine is done to rule out hypercalciuria. Then specific treatment for kidney stones can be started based on the results. Bone pain needs to be evaluated with dexa scan. Unless there is osteopenia or osteoporosis, there is no need to give calcium supplements. Finally even if calcium is required, it is preferable to give calcium citrate for stone patients. Most importantly, it should be give along with meals so that the calcium binds with oxalate in food and is excreted as calcium oxalate in stools. Hope I have answered your query, best regards,
