Pediatrician,
I have a 15 days child and I'm unable to feed her Please suggest some medicines for lactations.
Lactation is associated with mother's health, diet and mental health. So first of all take proper rest, take healthy balance diet, take more milk and do not get tense (it may reduce your milk production). Give only breast milk to child upto 6 month. You can take ayurvedic product marketed as tab. Laptadin or Galact granules for improve lactation.

My baby is 5+ month old. She hold her head but always keeps her head downwards not up what must be the reason?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
It is not yet time for proper head control. For personalised attention ask privately. Regarding online consultation there are certain points which all should know and follow. 1) the description of the diseases should be complete in all respects, including any tests done and any medicines already taking. Just saying I have diabetes since 10 years and taking metformin cannot help a discerning doctor a scientific advice. 2) your place and name and mail id and phone number should be in the question. It is necessary at times to know where you stay to give a good advice. (for example if there the climate is warm or cold and many other factors) 3) it is necessary to keep in regular touch for some diseases like diabetes and hypertension. So make it a point to be in touch by asking private questions. And repeat the essential point of the previous question to give a continuing answer. All these are said with intention to give a scientifically correct answer and talk as if in a regular consultation about which I am very keen to. 4) for personalised attention and follow up ask privately and it is better to make online payment if you are asked to by the doctor. It involves his time and dedication to give you expert advice after studying your problem. Ask personally in case of doubts about any medical matter.

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), also called von Recklinghausen's disease, is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the development of multiple noncancerous (benign) tumors of nerves and skin (neurofibromas) and areas of abnormally decreased or increased coloration (hypo- or hyperpigmentation) of the skin. Areas of abnormal pigmentation typically include pale tan or light brown discolorations (cafe-au-lait spots) on the skin of the trunk and other regions as well as freckling, particularly under the arms (axillary) and in the groin (inguinal) area. Such abnormalities of skin pigmentation are often evident by one year of age and tend to increase in size and number over time. At birth or early childhood, affected individuals may have relatively large benign tumors that consist of bundles of nerves (plexiform neurofibromas). Individuals with NF1 may also develop benign tumor-like nodules of the colored regions of the eyes (Lisch nodules) or tumors of the optic nerves (second cranial nerves), which transmit nerve impulses from the innermost, nerve-rich membrane of the eyes (retinas) to the brain. People with neurofibromatosis type 1 may undergo surgery to remove particularly troublesome tumors. Physical therapy may be beneficial for some people. A variety of orthopedic devices may help to improve mobility in some cases. Other treatment is symptomatic and supportive. Genetic counseling will be of benefit for people with neurofibromatosis type 1 and their families.
