lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (HT), is an autoimmune disorder, which causes hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism does lead to dyslipidemia. Therefore, correction hypothyroidism is the main treatment. That does correct the high cholesterol levels. There is no specific diet for either HT or hypothyroidism. What is necessary is to avoid soy beans, soy containing products as those affect thyroxine action. Plus it is necessary to avoid saturated and trans fats. Consume a good deal of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Always use whole grain flour for roti and chapati. Thanks.

The total calories should be more than the energy required. There should be a step-wise increase in the calories, as a sudden increase may not be tolerated. Fluids should be restricted before and during meals. At night before going to bed, have warm milk. In your diet include 1 teaspoon of desi ghee (clarified butter) (preferably prepared from cow's milk) every day.

Most likely its a fungal infection. It usually occurs in areas where you tend to sweat a lot. Firstly, a strict diabetes control is necessary otherwise the infections tend to recur. Secondly, try to keep the areas dry, wear loose clothing which is made of non synthetic material. Thirdly, the treatment can be modified a bit depending on the nature of rashes so that the infection does not recur.
