I am 19 years old female and I have cavity in my teeth so what should I do for this?

I am 19 years old female and I have cavity in my teeth so what should I do for this?
For cavity we need to understand the depth of cavity. If not deep. Then filling would be fine. And if deep. Kindly get an xray done to understand the depth of cavity. And necessary treatment would be then taken.

I had a malignant mouth ulcer which was removed surgically in May 2016. This was followed by 30 sittings of radiation. SMOF developed severely restricting mouth opening. In September 2017 I underwent microvascular surgery for removal of fibrosis and improve mouth opening. Now after 6 months there is no significant improvement. On the contrary it appears that the entire reconstruction has failed. Does homeopathy hold any hope for me? Can I look forward to softening of oral tissues and better mouth opening through homeopathy? Please advise.

Hi, thank you for the question. It is good to get treatment in alternative medicine but do not forget the mainstream allopathic practice because this disease makes irreversible damage to your oral mucosa and also is precancerous so you need certain medicines to b taken for a long time which have shown n proven activity in arresting progress of this disease. Kindly take full details of the therapy and its would b effects beforehand if any medication is there for this disease in alternative medicine. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I have a bridge in right side of my upper jaw. Its sensitive now. She'll I remove my bridge and do implantation?

I have a bridge in right side of my upper jaw. Its sensitive now. She'll I remove my bridge and do implantation?
A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

Hi. Your relative can definitely go to a dentist even with high sugar levels. Only thing is - care has to be taken if he/she is going to undergo any extraction, to avoid any post treatment complications in healing of the wounds.

Hello sir, mouth ulcers have various causes to occur. For immediate relief apply mucopain gel 3-4 times a day (applying it 15 mins before meal, reduces discomfort while eating) note the pattern of occurance. It can be due to stress, vit deficiency, or even gastritis. Consult me once you have found relief with Mucopain gel. Will advise you on vitamin supplements.

Bad Breath

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Bad Breath
Call it bad breath or halitosis, it’s an unpleasant condition that’s cause for embarrassment. If you’re concerned about bad breath, see your dentist. Bad breath can be caused by a number of sources, your dentist can help identify the cause and determine the best treatment.

What causes bad breath?

Food. What you eat affects the air you exhale, like garlic or onions. If you don't brush daily, particles of food can remain in the mouth, collecting bacteria, which can cause bad breath. Dieters may develop unpleasant breath from infrequent eating.

Gum disease. Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth can also be one of the warning signs of gum disease; which is caused by plaque.

Dry mouth. This occurs when the flow of saliva decreases and can be caused by various medications, salivary gland problems or continuously breathing through the mouth. If you suffer from dry mouth, your dentist may prescribe anartificial saliva, or suggest using sugarless candy or increase your fluid intake.

Smoking and tobacco. In addition to staining teeth and being bad for overall health, tobacco can add to bad breath. Tobacco users are at greater risk for developing oral cancer. If you use tobacco, ask your dentist for tips on kicking the habit.

Medical conditions. Some diseases have symptoms related to bad breath. Sinus or lung infections, bronchitis, diabetes, and some liver or kidney diseases may be associated with bad breath.

If you’re concerned about what’s causing your bad breath, make an appointment to see your dentist. Regular checkups allow your dentist to detect any problems such as gum disease or dry mouth. Bad breath may be the sign of a medical disorder. If your dentist determines that your mouth is healthy, you may be referred to your physician.

Maintaining good oral hygiene, eliminating gum disease and scheduling regular professional cleanings are essential to reducing bad breath. Brush twice a day and clean between your teeth. Clean your tongue, too. If you wear dentures, be sure to remove them at night and clean them thoroughly before replacing them the next morning.

It’s important to note that mouthwash will only mask the odour temporarily. Mouthwashes are generally cosmetic and do not have a long-lasting effect on bad breath. If you must constantly use a breath freshener to hide unpleasant mouth odour, see your dentist.
