Hello to gain weight you need to do exercise like walking or stretching 20-30 mins 5 days a week. Include foods like whole milk, whole pulses, cheese, peanut butter, rice preparations, nuts, banana shake. Keep yourself hydrated, drink plenty of water, green tea, lemon water, buttermilk. Thank you.

Hello, U exert more,than U in take the calorie. * either, U minimize your exertion or,increase your intake. U need 2000 ,calories to give a favorable shape to your body. * Take plenty of water to hydrate your self during U play football. * Take, soyabeen, rajama, carrots,banana, papaya, apples,milk, cheese,almonds, walnuts regularly. * Take glucose when you are back home. Homoeo-med ( pills, size no 40-) @ Ashawagandha Q- 10 drops,thrice a day with little water. Take care.

my age is 18 years. often feel tired when come from college. I go to college on bicycle daily and also do some exercise also.

Hye. Thank you for your query. It's possible you are not eating right as per your activity levels. If you cycle and travel without eating anything and post cycling again if you remain hungry for long you are depleting the body of energy. Also cycling call for being hydrated. So, at least have a fruit 15 minutes before you cycle and after cycling you can have a small snack and stop and move to the side of the road and sip on water or lime juice every 15 minutes of cycling.

I am above 40 years male. I have knee pain for last 3-4 years. My past and recent blood and x-rays diagnosis shows no abnormality. Every time I do physiotherapy there is relief and then after few days pain start again. Can you please suggest: 1, what is the cause of this pain ? 2, what is the cure for this pain ?

There can be many other reasons to pain than arthritis. Say, if one has a continuous standing work, one is overweight, mineral or nutritional deficiency, muscular sprain, old history of injury, etc. Further discussion is needed. As you said physiotherapy reliefs a bit, you need to continue with seka or fomentation also.

I am a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in managing your weight. You need to provide me your daily food intake details. There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis. Eat a balanced diet as prescribed by a registered dietitian, I being a registered dietitian and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problem. I will also prescribe medicines that will speed up the time to achieve your weight management goals. Gradual weight management is always advisable. An increase in 500 kcal per day can result in increasing the body weight by 0.5 kgs per week. Objective should be to restore a desirable weight/ ideal body weight according to one's age, gender and height. To rebuild body tissues, to maintain a good nutritional status and to maintain ideal body weight. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, after assessing your personal challenges to weight management, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. Follow up after 1week... Drink plenty of fluids.. Avoid constipation...

I have quit smoking but 6 month back than to I can not run for long. Can you suggest any kind of medicines for increasing stamina.

Lybrate-user if stamina was made through medicines than rich people would have been very fit. The best exercise to built stamina is running, jogging, exercise and good nd healthy diet. Just start running for 10 minutes everyday and cover 1km after 10 days cover 1.5 km in 10 minutes. Then go for 20 minutes then 30 minutes and track your record. But never go for medicine. Involve youself in some sports activities, you are just 24. You can easily do it.

Supplemnts for long time is not recommended. So I suggest you to slowly tranform to a balanced diet with high protein foods such as Paneer, tofu, almonds, skim milk, skinless chicken, egg whites, fish, sprouts, pulses and legumes.

No particular fruit by itself help you gain body weight. You can at all fruits and it will help you in weight gain if all the other parameters are met with. Weight gain is muscle gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates and fats. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fuits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated.
