A month back while getting down from my sons bunker bed I landed my left leg on the chair's leg frame. Since then I have heel pain. I only get the pain while getting up and if I do exercise without shoes. Im sure there is no fracture else I would have severe pain. May be I hit my heel bone. I have heard when you hit the bone, the pain takes many days to go away.

Hi sir You may be suffering from plantar fascitis If you have put on weight or changed your chappals or shoe or have increased walking or walking on rough surfaces these days this can cause plantar fascitis Other than biomechanical causes. Some systemic disorders also can cause this Try soft chappals and foot exercises as advised by physiotherapy specialist. Good luck.

You take homoeo medicine belladonna 30 (6 to 8 pills) --3 times (hourly) in the morning and arsenicum iode 30---3 times (hourly) in the evening for 4 days. Take complete rest and have easily digestible light food. Drink plenty of water as this will eliminate toxins.

Dear lybrate-user pain in groin can be due to various reasons. Is there any injury to groin. Should get checked up by a sport medicine doctor. Don't self medicate. = pain in your body means you have less oxygen in your body and having more carbon dioxide. - you have cold and cough, that also the reason of less oxygen. - because of cold also lead pain. - first you have to remove your cold completely. I can give some tips below and to be followed. 1. Take a cup of milk add with 3 to 4 garlic cloves and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper with turmeric powder, boil it and consume it (chew the garlic cloves first then drink the milk), every morning before food for 1 week. 2. Use mustard oil for cooking minimum of 1 teaspoon and maximum of 2 teaspoon per day. 3. If you don't relieve from body pain and cold & cough, inform.

Take bland semi solid diet like rice with yogurt, porridge, barley, fruit (avoid skin/seeds) custard, avoid spicy, oily and fatty food. Take light and easily digestible diet. Take meals at short interval to avoid nausa/vomiting. Take zeera decoction everyday and also do take a calcium rich diet. Avoid meat/poultry/egg for 2 months 4. Drink plenty of water/lime juice/ glucose and also sago sweets and sago items. Water/ coconut water, sugar cane/ fresh fruit (avoid citrus fruits) juice, milk 5. Take adequate rest and repeat vidal tests. Prevention typhoid is a bacterial infection affecting the gastrointestinal system and is due to fecal contamination of food, milk and water. It can be prevented by 1. Avoiding contaminated food and water/milk from out side sources like junk food etc 2 use purified drinking water and have warm home made food, 3. Avoid fly contamination of food, maintain food hygiene 4, properlyl wash your hands before taking food 5. Wash vegetable, fruit before consuming. Do consult me for a detailed diet chart.

Hello lybrate user your weekness and other compalints are result of low haemoglobin level. Just start some haematinic tablet or syp daily. Also eat beet, palak, methi and khajur fruits. It help to increase hb level and as your hb become normal other complaint will reduce gradually.

You don't have to stop going to gym at all in fact it is good to work out regularly. But in moderation otherwise the muscles will get fatigued easily I think you should do maximum a one and half an hour regularly. Have rest in between giving gap you must drink plenty of water by mouth. Otherwise you will develop cramps.

You need to have blood tests, especially thyroid and other hormonal tests to find the reason. The symptoms you say is very common in hyperthyroidism.

Hi. It's just post-febrile weakness (weakness after fever). Would advise you to take homoeopathic medicines - Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. - both thrice daily, and let me know about your condition after a month.

Hot And Cold Therapy - Know The Ways It Can Help Treating Pain!

Ice packs and heating pads are the way to go when in pain. Treating pain with hot and cold therapy can be very effective for several conditions or injuries and easily affordable as well. However, the tricky part can be deciding when to apply hot and when to apply cold. At times, the therapy can include both the types.

As a general rule of thumb, ice is used for acute injuries or pain with characteristics of swelling or inflammation and heat is used for easing muscle pain or stiffness. Ultimately, both the therapies work well for treating pain.

How does heat and cold therapy relieve pain?
Both the therapies stimulate the body’s healing response. Heat therapy dilates the blood vessels, promotes blood circulation and alleviates muscle spasms. Additionally, it also alters the sensation of pain. Heat therapy employs heating pads or heating lamps for direct application of heat and also moist heat like warm baths, heated wash cloths or heated pads.

On the other hand, cold therapy constricts the blood vessels, reduces swelling and numbs any deep pain. At first, applying ice may be uncomfortable, but it helps by soothing acute pain. Cold therapy employs ice packs, coolant sprays, ice bath and also cryo-stretching, which uses cold to reduce muscle spasms during stretching.

  1. Using heat and ice. Whether you are using a hot pack or a cold therapy, ensure you apply the right temperature.
  2. When applying heat, it should not be too hot or it may lead to burns or scalds. The skin must be checked at regular intervals. Heat should not be applied to a new injury as it can increase bleeding around the injured area and make it worse. Heat is helpful for the following problems:
    1. Stiff or aching muscles due to strenuous activity or overexertion
    2. Chronic pain conditions of arthritis and fibromyalgia
    3. Muscle spasms or cramping pains
  3. Ice has been used for a long time to treat soft tissue injuries, where there is swelling. It is used to manage pain in the short term and can also be used on a long term basis to treat pain. Cold therapy is helpful in the following ways:
    1. Reduces bleeding or further infection
    2. Prevents and alleviates swelling or inflammation
    3. Reduces muscle spasm and pain
    4. Numbs the area affected and reduces deep pain by limiting the effects of swelling
  4. Precautions when using ice and heat
    1. Over skin areas that are in poor conditions
    2. Sensitive areas
    3. Over areas with poor blood circulation
    4. Diabetes
