I have asthma dust allergy. Now I plan to conceive. I won't to know asthma creates problem in conceiving or pregnancy...
Hi. I understand your concerns. Asthma is chronic and a common problem causing symptoms. Asthma does not cause any harm to your pregnancy if it is well controlled before your pregnancy with adequate dose of inhalers. Consult a pulmonologist for the same. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.

4 Factors that determine the time span of homeopathic treatments

MD-Hom., BHMS, Dip. in Cosmetology & Trichology
Cosmetic Physician, Mumbai
4 Factors that determine the time span of homeopathic treatments

The most frequently asked question by prospective or new homeopathic patients is related to the time required for recovery. Most patients are worried about the length of time involved in homeopathic treatment to make them fit and fine again.

Homeopathic treatment does not deal with any independent or isolated symptoms. It helps in analyzing and assessing a complex entity involving both unknown and known indicators. Homeopathic healing has to be given time to happen at its own pace. Unconscious and conscious participation of the patients is badly needed in this treatment.

  • Vitality level: This is the most important factor which contributes to making an effective homeopathic forecasting. There are two types of vitality-high and low. Low vitality people have the attitude of breaking down under stress and tension. They are largely oversensitive and unresponsive to challenges. On the other hand, people with high vitality have the tendency to bounce back within no time. They are positive, strong and are ready to respond even under a stressful situation.
  • Social background and nature: People who are highly expressive and respond to their body signals can avail the benefits of homeopathic treatment to its most. In fact, these people have a good chance to get cured within a short time span. On the other hand, people who have the tendency to suppress their emotion or who are highly intellectual may have to invest more time in this treatment. This is because life is dynamic and people who exhibit their dynamism in life often respond fast to homeopathic medicines.
  • Severity and type of disease: The intensity and the nature of the disease consume a great deal of time in homeopathic treatment. For example, hereditary disorders take a longer time to heal. In such cases prediction and forecasting become a bit difficult.
  • The duration for which the symptoms have been persisting: Homeopathic treatment follows a basic rule which states that 'It takes a month for each year of existence of a condition to treat it.' However, in the case of a chronic condition the duration of treatment might be a little longer than predicted by the above rule.

I am 4 months pregnant and I am diagnosed wiyh low lying placenta. Please guide me with the precautions.

DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Bhavnagar
I am 4 months pregnant and I am diagnosed wiyh low lying placenta. Please guide me with the precautions.
Whenever there is low lying placenta, it usually in most of the cases shifts upwards as time passes. But you have to check it by regular ultrasonography. Till then you have to take care. Don't do heavy work, avoid journey, if possible avoid climbing staircases. Low lying placenta can produce bleeding if not taken care of. It may vary in severity so best thing is to take care to avoid bleeding. If low lying placenta don't shift upwards till the 9th month of pregnancy, you have to undergo caeserian section because it may bleed very heavily in normal delivery to endenger ones life.

I am Having bad teeth pain problem during pregnancy can I do root canal is it safe coz its painful please help.
Hi Gunjan... you may first try homoeopathic treatment.. See if it helps... As for rootcanal...they will need to give you various allopathic medications... and I don't prefer any extra medication during pregnancy... especially pain killers.... While Homoeopathic is perfectly safe... but better if taken with consultation... Still if you want to try you may take Sepia 30 one dose for 3 days...

Hi Doctor, Is there any possibilities to get pregnant with twins if not gender specific without that family background. Also is there any medicines which are helpful in it. I have very irregular periods and due to which my chances of getting pregnant becomes less. I also have post pregnancy weight after birth of my daughter is there any medical methods available.

Hi Doctor,
Is there any possibilities to get pregnant with twins if not gender specific without that family backgroun...
First of all, according to me get treatment for irregular periods. After that your ovulation will be regular which would increase chances of pregnancy. Medically there are no treatment or methods to get twins. And you should not opt for any as its natural process. For post pregnancy weight gain, body massage and yoga is helpful. There are many home made remedies which are safe and effective.
