Mr. lybrate-user, To avoid diabetes one should have an active life, with regular exercise of over 1 hour, maintaining normal weight and taking a balanced diet that provides exact calories as needed based on ideal body weight. One should avoid too much of sweets, no extra sugar, no deep fried foods, junk foods, no pastries and bakery items, avoid sweetened aerated drinks, fructose corn syrup containing foods, no highly processed foods. Plus refrain from alcohol and smoking. In case of nonvegetarian diet avoid red meat. Skinned chicken, fish, eggs without yellow are good. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Reduce salt intake to avoid increase in blood pressure. Thanks.

Lot of things to do. Soaps vil dry out your skin, so they r an absolute no. No vigorous rubbing of skin on face or body. Before bath, oil body with any oil be it coconut, olive. Use a soap free body wash or a dermatologically tested medical soap. After bath, pat dry within three minutes and apply moisturiser. Include dry fruits like almond, walnuts, figs, groundnuts. Have plenty of salmon, mackerel and sardine. Drink two litres of water. Have roasted flaxseeds. Avoid alcohol and aerated drinks or they vil dehydrate you more. Use loose cotton clothes. Avoid woollen clothes directly on body. Use it over cotton clothes if required.

Dear lybrate user, remember to take lots of fluids (excluding tea and coffee) ie atleast 4 litres a day as your weight showing here is high. If you have access to a chemist you may order sachets of Electral (3-4 a day) to be dissolved in water as per instructions and sipped whole day. If not possible, drink plain water and you may have strained water from cooked rice (kaanji). For meals have curd with rice or home cooked vegetarian food with no spices or oils. In case you have this lose motion for more than 2-3 days or you see blood in the stool, or develop any other symptoms too, please seek private consultation as it may not just be food poisoning. Take rest at home and do not exert yourself as you are losing fluids. Get well soon!

Weight loss has two components: 1. Healthy balanced diet 2. Exercise Follow the following tips:- · Pay close attention to your food choice. · Eat less carbohydrate food sources like chapatti, rice, noodles, pasta, bread etc as they help in gaining weight and storing fat. · While having lunch or dinner eat vegetables and dal to fill your stomach rather eating lots of chapattis or rice. · Have a healthy breakfast like poha, idli, upma, plain dosa, oats, dalia or khichdi with vegetables. · Eat a balance diet including good quality proteins like: fish, lean chicken and eggs. If you are a vegetarian then include skimmed milk, low fat paneer, butter milk, soy bean or soy milk in your diet. · Avoid ghee, butter or vanaspati. Prepare your diet with vegetable oil like sunflower, safflower soybean or olive oil. · Eat plenty of salads. · Eat fresh fruits including apple, orange, pineapple, papaya, sweet lime, berries, guava, watermelon, mask melon etc. · Avoid eating outside junk and fried foods like pizza, pasta, roll, burgers, cakes, chocolates and cookies. · Have an early dinner. The earlier the better, giving your system more time to digest the food. · Avoid cold drinks/alcohol as they add empty calories to your diet. · Avoid fat enriched milk products like cheese, sweets, full fat cream etc. · Drink 3 liters of water in a day. · Try to have less sugar in food and beverages. · Try to drink 2 cups of green tea in a day as green tea helps in weight loss by aiding digestion. · Avoid red meat like mutton, beef, lamb or pork. · Eat sprouts or roasted chana, whenever you feel hungry. Exercise: Combination of cardio-vascular exercises and weight training can bring effective weight loss along with the diet. Running, jogging, cycling, swimming and dancing are some best forms of cardio-vascular exercises which burn fat instantly. Working out with dumbbells, push-ups, pull-ups, weight lifting are the exercises which help to tighten the loose muscles and shape your body.

I am 26 years female and I have earlier about an year ago Sinus and tonsils problem. Had treatment and Yoga pranayamas at home and is cured for the time being. Consulted doctor repeatedly but haven't find any improvement. Recent about 2 weeks ago changed to another ENT Specialist and had CT Scan. The results said by Dr. are there is no sinus but as the bone which joins with nose iss crossed thus the pressure is applied to side nerves causing pain as migraine and on cheeks. Dr. informed as to go with medicines first if not for surgery for long last relief. Also I have Thyroid for the past 8 years and is now about 1.97 IU/ml and using 100mg from 3 months. Had second opinion too and said same thing to wait for few days. Problem here is when climate changes, I cannot breathe freely, have nose blocks at nights. And the problem will be solved till I use medicine or exercise, again it repeats same. Doest I really need to go for surgery or else I can be cured with medicine? And if the bone is crossed the pain has to appear at one side, but I have pain at cheeks, nose, above eyes and forehead. Please help me out. Thank you.

Yoga, pranayama has cured you once, why do you consult so many specialists and get confused about surgery. I agree with your second doctor that you should wait for few days before you go for surgery. Ct report is bones are overlapping and touching the nerves, causing migraine! wait & watch, there are good medicines for migraine also, carry on with yoga, pranayam + medicines which are safe. Surgery should be last option in your case.

Hello. We can't change the gray hair turn black, but of course, prevent further greying! The causes of premature graying of hair are several. Here we have listed out a few common causes. Heredity is a major reason for hair greying Excessive use of tobacco and smoking Chronic emotional stress or psychological worries Lack of nutrients such as vitamins, iron, copper and iodine in the diet Medical conditions such as anemia, hypothyroidism, tuberous sclerosis or neurofibromatosis Home Remedies: 1. Add the curry leaves to the oil and boil it for 6 to 8 minutes, or till the leaves turn black. Remove from flame and let it cool. Strain the oil in a container and massage your scalp and hair with this oil 3 to 4 times per week before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 2. Turn the fenugreek seeds to a smooth powder and keep aside. Heat the oil and add the amla pieces to it, let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes, add the fenugreek powder to the oil, let it boil for another minute and remove from flame. Let it cool and strain the oil, apply on scalp and hair before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 3. Mix onion and lemon juice in a glass bowl and apply on scalp and hair evenly. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash off with a mild herbal shampoo. Repeat it 4 to 5 times a week for 2 weeks. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine – Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200/ once daily and Weisbaden 200/ twice daily – all of them for 1 month. And a multivitamin - A to Z/ 1 cap. Daily once for 3 months (as deficiency of zinc, copper and selenium can also cause premature greying). Use Schwabe's Arnica Shampoo and Hair Growth Oil. Revert.

Hi! If your hair is thin, damaged, dry or brittle or you are suffering from dandruff, some simple changes into your daily nutrition needs & hair care can give you thick, bouncy and shiny hair. While your hair type mostly depends on your genetics, stress, hormonal imbalance and poor diet have a great influence on your hair healthy and appearance. Start by following a good diet - Eat adequate amount of protein. Your hair is made up mainly of proteins. Include skimmed milk, cottage cheese, lentils in diet. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Related tip: the most powerful way to put on weight - snacking right.

It could be due to decreased immunity. 1.Go for regular exercise, play games, Reducee weight if over weight 2.Avoid stress, anxiety,fatigue 3. YPractice yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 4.Take a good nourishing diet with plenty of, green leafy vegetables, fruits, Avoid oily, fatty, junk, high calorie and cholesterol rich food, soft drink etc. Avoid caned/processed food, excess sugar 5.Drink plenty of water 6.sleep for 7-8 hours daily to remain healthy 7. Before starting the diet weigh yourself and write it down somewhere. This way you know where you started and you feel good to see the scales going down. Some things you need to follow this diet: No salt after 7:30No aerated drinks. Yes that includes even the diet version.Restrict mango and bananaRestrict potato and rice.No artificial juices as well.Half an hour of aerobic exercise daily. If u want to join a gym good enough. But if due to any reason maybe time or money constraint u can?t join a gym. All you need is a comfortable pair�of shoes to do some aerobics, a skipping rope to do at least 500 skips (5 sets of 100 skips and increasing it as you go). 1.5 -2 kgs dumbbells for toning your upper body. Just these basic things and you are set.20 mins of breathing exercise ( pranayama)
