Breast Cancer and Prevention

Research consistently shows that drinking alcohol does increase the risk for breast cancer. Alcohol can increase levels of estrogen and other hormones associated with breast cancer. Alcohol may also increase breast cancer risk by damaging the DNA in the cells

Prevention

Foods and Beverages with Vitamin D such as green tea pomegranate circumin and soy may have an anti carcinogenic effect. Curcurmin has recently been discovered to have a variety of benefits including its role in breast cancer prevention. Dietary intake of soy and atleast eight glasses of pure water daily will help control the risk of breast cancer.

My mother having over in cancer and taking treatment for the same, 3chemo cycles completed and surgery also completed, after surgery my mother heart got failure and pumping is 20 for the same taking treatment, and want to know whether cancer will be cured permentely, and is there any better treatment available.

DNB, MBBS
Oncologist, Faridabad
What is the status of disease after surgery? I mean histopathology and ca 125 levels. She may need more chemotherapy if cardiac conditions permit. She needs regular follow up after treatment to know about its cure. Treatment is correct as per the standard guide lines.

Sister says drops of water like coming out of her breast. Can someone please help me what this could be.

MBBS, MD - Medicine, MD - Oncology

Dear, If it is painful it is unlikely cancer and may be infection. If after a course of antibiotics it foes not suppress you should definitely go for Timor analysis. A fine needle aspiration testis advised in that case. If there is any positivity on FNAC then we can go for further management.

I want to do a check up for all form of oral cancer and espwat is the name of the test.

Fellowship In Rhinology, MS (ENT), DNB (ENT)
ENT Specialist, Delhi
Oral and oropharyngeal cancers can be checked manually by an ENT doctor, All the areas inside your mouth are first inspected and then examined by hands. There are few hidden areas where one must pay attention to. Laryngeal examination with an endoscope can examine the Nase of tongue and the voice box and starting of food pipe for a cancer.

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. I would advise to not itch or irritate the same for it may get infected, and worsen the issue. You can clean the same with warm water, and apply any antiseptic ointment containing aloe vera. Should there be any pain, you may apply an alternating heat and cold treatment for couple of minutes that may alleviate it. However, should it not heal still or you notice more of such pimples coming up or its color as being significantly different than the usual breast skin color or any kind of severe pain/ inflammation etc all, you should visit your OB/ GYN right away for a clinical evaluation and traction thereof. Simultaneously, keep your diet and lifestyle streamlined, and stay well hydrated. You can take tomato soup to which fresh herbs like garlic, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, coriander leaves and oregano has been added, once daily. Your doc shall be able to advise further on, in particular, once he/ she gets to clinically examine you in person. Hope this helps. Do take care, and all the very best. Sincerely

Unless he press, squeeze or suck very hard, no harm will come. So if you have pain or if he bruise you, you need to tell him to slow down. It is your responsibility to tell him that. If you enjoy it and it feels good, just keep it that way. It can be a lot of fun having your breasts fondled. Some women can even have an orgasm from it.
