6 Common Reasons for Pain in the Elbow

6 Common Reasons for Pain in the Elbow

Elbow pain may be caused due to a variety of reasons from injuries to fractures and ligament pulls or tears. This is most commonly experienced by people who are into sports, including those who play tennis, golf and other such sports that require intense arm movements.

So, let us look at the six most common reasons behind elbow pain:

  1. Medial Epicondylitis: This condition creates pain in the inner tendon within the elbow and is usually termed as 'golfer's elbow'. It basically occurs due to the constant swinging and throwing motion that a sports person may indulge in. When these movements are repeated on a constant basis, there is wear and tear as well as acute pain in the area. Also, an injury to the wrist can cause this pain in the elbow.
  2. Lateral Epicondylitis: This condition is commonly known as 'tennis elbow'. The affected area under this condition includes the outside tendons of the elbow. This is caused due to swinging, hitting, hammering and punching motions that are repeated too often. It is commonly experienced by cooks, artists, carpenters, automobile workers, and plumbers and people who use heavy tools.
  3. Olecranon Bursitis: This condition is also known as 'student's elbow' and usually occurs due to constant writing and gripping motion which affects the bursae. These are small fluid filled sacs that lubricate the joints even as the protection happens. The symptoms include swelling and pain. There is also risk of infection and redness in this condition.
  4. Osteoarthritis: The cartilage of the joints gets affected in this condition which is the connective tissue that exists in the joints. This condition causes wear and tear of the joints and bones which leads to pain in the various areas including the elbow. Medication and physiotherapy are good measures for treatment.
  5. Fracture: Sometimes, dislocation or fracture may lead to pain in the outstretched arm or elbow. Dislocation may take place when a bone moves from its aligned spot. The symptoms will include obvious swelling and acute pain in the elbow.
  6. Ligament Damage: Strains and sprains in the ligaments within the elbow joint can lead to this damaging condition. Torn or stretched ligaments are the most common outcomes in this kind of injury and damage.

To find out which reason may be the culprit behind your elbow pain, you will need to see a general physician or an orthopaedic specialist who will run you through a series of tests and examinations including X rays, MRI scans and others in order to ascertain the cause and treatment. A sports injury specialist can also help in diagnosis and treatment.

If there is an unprotected intercourse and even a drop of semen enters the vagina around the time of ovulation, there is always a chance of pregnancy unless the woman is on pills. Whether the lady lubricates or not, pregnancy can occur. Now to answer your question, yes, when the vaginal secretions and the cervical secretions are at peak, chances of conception are highest.

You are most likely to be suffering from pcod, which can be diagnosed with hormonal tests. Primary objective of your treatment is weight reduction and maintain normal BMI of 18-25. This will regularize the monthly cycles and also help you get pregnant. You can take Metformin to reduce weight. You don’t need to take any medicine till 3 months for the menses to come. Only after 3 months of missed menses you should take medicines like progesterone Tablet (Deviry 10 mg twice a day for 5 days) for getting menses. For reducing your weight you should have brisk walk or jogging for 4-5 km daily, high protein diet (fish, chicken, mutton without fat, pulses, mushrooms), low carbohydrate diet (avoid rice, chapatti, bread, poha, upma, idli, dosa, potato, sugar etc and can use bhakri instead) and low fat i. E. Less oil and preferably use rice bran oil.

That's nice there's no problem. Simple aartav shuddhi procedure of ayurveda with medicinal herbs like ashoka, rodhra, daruhaldi, neem antarchhal and many others with some mineral preparations based on kasis, louh, mandoor etc have the capability of restoring normal functions in females. It's slow being pure n natural products but effect sustains without any side effects. The effect is visible in first month itself but recommended for use for at least 2-3 months. It will bring glow, normalise hormonal balance (through it's not hormonal medicine), relieve stress and anaemia and bring overall strength. Libido is also increased by default. It's the power of ayurveda

Bicornuate uterus means that developmentally you have two parts of upper part of uterus. It is not per se a problem to get pregnant. Pcod can delay a few things as the follicular growth and some other factors are not always according to plan. You are young, give yourself some time before you consult. If the periods are very irregular, consult for some basic tratment options.

How to increase weight during pregnancy. Iam in my 13th week of pregnancy, till now I have not gained proper weight. Is this normal or do I need to consult regarding this issue.

How to increase weight during pregnancy. Iam in my 13th week of pregnancy, till now I have not gained proper weight. ...
Many women do not pit on much weight in first 3months, usually this is because of nausea and vomiting. Once this settles down, you can gain weight more easily. How much weight you put on, depends on your wright prior to pregnancy. For a woman of average built, this is usually 10 to 14 kg, and more for lean and thin ones. Eat a balanced diet, focus on proteins; dal, sprouts, paneer, milk, curd, eggs etc. Make sure you take fruits, vegetables and few nuts daily. Eat more frequently, say, every 2 to 3 hrs and you will put on weight easily.

Doing sex involves lots of energy, so daily involvement in sex may lead to weakness. So I wud like to advise following tips. Increase the intake of milk and milk products. Avoid fried spicy and oily food items. Take proper body and mental rest. Do meditation and relaxing exercises daily at least for 30min. Whole body massage is also very helpful.
