Your problems appears to be side effects and complications of DM Medicines will help to control sugar levels only. I feel you are suffering from diabetic neuropathy. Your symptoms are not due to age suggestions: 1.take inj.eldervit once in three days 2.get the report of average glucose(glycosylated hb every 3months) 3.strict diet control in consultation with dietician

First of all, his diabetes needs to be under control. Medicines will need to be changed. Check the feet everyday to see if there are any cuts wounds etc and seek treatment immediately if its the case. Wear correct footwear. Stop alcohol and smoking or tobacco use.

Hello, Thanks for the query. There are different medicines available for treating diabetes, which includes older drugs like Glimiperide, metformin cobinations, some DPP - IV inhibitors and many types of insulins. Some newer drugs like Degludec Insulin and Dapagliflozin are definitely more (very) expensive. Some doctors prefer those because there is a feeling that these drugs give better control or at times influenced by pharma companies. Since you are already under the treatment b any alternatives. Thanks. Y a particular diabetologist it is not possible to suggest.

Donot force feed the patient with a particular type of food. Give her foods in portion size in the allowances advised.there is no food which has to be completely avoided.balance is the key.if the problem persists, I would recommend to get the renal profile done

Both genes and environmental contribute to development of diabetes. You can not change your genes but you have control over environment I.e. Lifestyle. Maintain normal weight exercise daily following healthy eating habits to prevent diabetes.

the idea that anti diabetic medications cause long term bad side effects is itself wrong. There millions of patients on oral anti diabetic drugs, properly controlling blood sugar levels and living a good life. To my knowledge there are no drugs in other branches of medicine which have any action on insulin secretion or reducing sugar levels. As regards reducing the fasting levels you may have to give a re look at your diet and total calories consumed in a day. Or you may have to add another drug to control sugar level.

Requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

You need to continue using antifungal cream for a month even after it has been cured as the fungus resides in the skin layers & has to be eradicated completely. Then I think, there would be no relapse.
