Hi lybrate-user. Can you be more specific wether it is pain or sensitivity. If its sensitivity in one tooth then it can be a carious tooth, immediately visit a dentist and get it restored. And if its pain then that tooth needs to be rc treated. And then you will have neither pain nor sensitivity.

I have some cavities on my teeth an also have pain in my teeth please tell how to cure this.
Kindly get the cavities filled before they become deep and painful. Kindly get an x-ray done of the tooth having pain. May be you will have to get root canal treatment done followed by a crown or cap. Avoid having sticky sweets and food before going to bed. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique.

Hi, I am 34 years old male and having gaps in 4 upper front teeth. I visited one dentist in Agra, he is periodontics by professions and he advised me for braces and veneers cost 40-50k, that is too high but they not suggested composite bonding or any cost effective method. Please help me what is should do.

Hello, Your dentist has advised you correct options. Composite bonding is not as durable as laminates/veneers. Always go ahead with a long term solutions. Thank you

You are having sensitivity issues in your teeth which can be difficult to control at times, for time being use anti sensitivity toothpaste, but I doubt that without adequate diagnosis and treatment by the dentist you will get any relief.

Hi lybrate-user, tooth removal should be last option. Pain n blackening in tooth can be treated extremely well with v good prognosis by fillings n root canals. And since its your last tooth try your level best to get it saved if you want to have fixed teeth.

Saving a fallen tooth can be useful. Try to keep it in place while you seek immediate medical attention. If that is not the case, try wrapping the tooth in a piece of plastic or soaking it into milk and call for immediate dental service.

That yellow part is called as calculus (tartar). You have to go for ultrasonic teeth cleaning from dentist. Your problem will be solved. After that maintain good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoridated toothpaste. Do flossing also to remove the plaque in between teeth once a day.

Hi lybrate-user, to get rid of the jittery feeling, the first and most important thing is that you teeth should be clean, and free from plaque (accumulated food debris) and stains. For that, you must get professional scaling/cleaning done from a dentist. Also, you will be required to use specific toothpastes. Take care.

Kind of toothbrush to be used by adults: We recommend a brush with soft bristles which helps in removing the plaque and debris thoroughly from the mouth.

My hubby even though tks care of oral but still many times he has bad breath. What should he do?

Hello lybrate-user that's a genuine concern you have. Let's update his medical history as the problem can be elsewhere and is reflected through his mouth. Otherwise it could be local issues like food getting collected in the mouth and has now hardened into a mass, which we call as calculus. In any case you need to visit the dentist to see for gum problems and might need professional cleaning or further treatments depending on the severity of the gum disease. In any case do not delay and also motivate your hubby to visit the dentist taking the condition seriously. Cheers and god bless hope i've answered your query.

Oral diseases have a great impact on systemic illness like diabetes.

Maintain a good oral hygiene to be healthy, fit and fine.

Note: patients suffering from diabetes are requested to get their teeth cleaned every 6 months.

My son is 5+ all his teeth have cavity he is horrified of going to dentist these are milk teeth. Will the new teeth also get affected?

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist, Jamshedpur
Caries should be treated either filling or capping. Because it will take few years to shed all milk teeth. Caries may cause pain. So it need to be filled. Avoid too much chocolates and sweetened food. Take care of his oral hygiene. Consult a good pedodontist.

Hi, my age is 23 I always use different paste but still my teeth are yellowish in colour so what should I do?

Hi, my age is 23 I always use different paste but still my teeth are yellowish in colour so what should I do?
The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

First of all capping should never be done without rct. If those teeth are causing pain then please get root canals done followed by capping again. Composite filling will not treat your pain.
