I have acne on my face and my skin is also too much oily which medicine should I get.

I have acne on my face and my skin is also too much oily which medicine should I get.
Dear, These are the causes of acne: • excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland). • Due to hormonal imbalance. These are the methods & instructions to avoid acne: • To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. * Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin. * Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day. *You can apply cucumber juice or mixed with curd for 5 minutes and rinse with water. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • use a mild moisturiser for your skin.

What Are The Symptoms Of Chikungunya?

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine
General Physician, Jaipur
What Are The Symptoms Of Chikungunya?

Chikungunya is a viral disease transmitted to people by the bite of an infectious mosquito known as Aedes Aegypti. The chikungunya infection is most prevalent in Africa, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent and Indian Ocean islands, where various incidents of these disease and certain outbreaks have occurred over the years.

Humans and different animals are the regular hosts for the chikungunya virus, which can turn out to be very painful if it is not treated on time with proper medical care and intervention. The virus is spread to people by the bite of a female mosquito called Aedes aegypti or Aedes Albopictus. These are the same tropical and sub-tropical mosquitoes that spread the dengue virus. They breed in or close to human habitations and want to feed on people during the daytime in shady zones. These are likely to bite you at during the early hours of the evening or at night. The hatching time frame (time from disease to sickness) can be anywhere between two to 12 days.

Symptoms: Chikungunya infection is characterised by the following symptoms:

  1. High or blazing fever
  2. Extreme joint pain for the most part in the arms and legs
  3. Headache
  4. Pain in the muscle
  5. Pain in the back
  6. Body ache
  7. Rash (in about 50% of the infected people)

A vast majority begins to feel better following 7 to 10 days but a few people will go through longer term joint pain.

Treatment:

  1. There is no particular medicine to prevent chikungunya. There is no antibiotic that can help in doing away with it - it usually abates on its own. Chikungunya treated on the basis of a patient's symptoms. However, there are some precautions and alternate medications that can be used as a cure.
  2. Bed rest, liquids, and medication to soothe side effects of fever and hurting. Asprin should be avoided.
  3. Personal protection and a hygienic environment is important to prevent the growth of the illness.

Since this virus does not have a vaccine or any particular medicine, one should try to stay away from mosquitos as much as possible. Covering yourself up while travelling, especially in the evening is the best approach to prevent it.

Alcohol dependence is associated with significant physical, mental and social problems. Physically, there can be liver failure, jaundice, vomiting of blood, passing blood in stools, stomach ulcers, damage to nerves of the body, swelling of legs, fluid collection in abdomen, and many more. Mentally, there is irreversible brain damage, worsening of anxiety or depression, triggering of psychosis and mood disorders, dementia, etc. From a social point of view, there may be isolation from neighbors or family, increased abusive behavior to children or spouses, legal problems, accidents, etc. Try to convince your friend to seek medical help. Get his liver function tests done; if they are deranged, that can be used as a motivation to seek psychiatric help. It is common to have anxiety, depression, etc in these patients. However this increases their risk of self harm and sucicide. Do not give him any medication as advertised on TV or newspapers, which claim to treat the patient of alcoholism without his knowledge. Anti craving medications are available which will help to reduce the craving. Consult a psychiatrist with experience in deaddiction. You may consult me if required.

You must take medications along with lifestyle changes. When cholesterol levels are elevated, your diet should be low in fat and high in fiber. Since the fiber helps to absorb the fat and elimates it from the body. Include more of raw vegetables, taking fruits as whole rather than juices will help to increase the fiber in the diet. Use more garlic and onions in the preparation of which will help to reduce the levels. Avoid taking junk, oily fried foods, saturated fats like ghee, butter, mayo sauce, red meats, organ meats, crabs, prawns, lobsters, carbonated beverages, highly saturated sweets and alcohol. Use high fiber foods like whole wheat, multi grain flour / breads, broken wheat, rice flakes, at least weekly twice green leafy vegetables, daily two serving of raw vegetables and fruits, avoid sugars - since they are converted into fat in the body and drink plenty of fluids. Many research studies have proved taking cinnamon powder along with water in empty stomach reduces the cholesterol levels in the blood. Along with the above dietary modifications, daily physical activity of at least 30-40 minutes is necessary.

Bleeding of gums occurs due to vit. C deficiency. Kindly do take food rich in vit. C like lemon, orange. The other aspect of this bleeding may be inflammation or swollen gums, for which you probably need a scaling.
