Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. *take rest or move about once in 1-2 hours in case of working in a constant position. *maintain a good posture while reading or working with computers. *take a high fibre content diet like vegetables, fruits, etc.

I am 34 years old male. I am suffering from back pain for the last 3 years. I have done MRI. In MRI it is found that 1. MILD DIFFUSE DISC BULGE IS NOTED AT L3-4 LEVEL CAUSING ANTERIORTHECAL SAC indentation MINIMAL NARROWING OF BILATERAL NEURAL forminal AS WELL AS LATERAL RECESSES. 2. the problem is you have disc bulge at 2 intervertebral levels causing compression of the nerve root that comes out of the spinal canal at that level causing pain in the back and legs . (disc is like gelatinous cushion inbetween two vertebral bones and it acts like a shock absorber . sometimes the disc comes out of its normal position and presses on the nerve which comes from the spinal cord. depending on the nerve that is compressed you can get pain in the back and / or legs, numbness, weakness etc.

My husband has a slip disc problem and has acute pain. Doctor has advised him to go in for spine fixation which includes removal of the discs and replacing it with titanium ones. I want to know after the surgery will he be able to join back his job. He is a marine engineer working in cargo ships. There is lot of lifting and very hard work. Please let me also know if there is some alternate treatment for this as I am nervous about it. Please reply soon.

Please don't get nervous! not all patients of backache need surgery. Most of them can be managed without operation. This is an advanced surgical procedure. This type of surgery is not done in most of the hospitals. I think you should have it done in delhi.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

1. No psychological reason. 2. Get X ray done and share report. 3. Start with Physiotherapy treatment. 4. Learn spinal exercises. 5. Don't sit on floor. 6. Don't lift heavy things. 7. Take calcium, vitamin D 3 and Methylcobalmine supplement for one month. 8. Apply volini cream before sleeping. 9. Use lumber spine belt.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -some physiotherapy treatment like ift can give you some relief. -a physical therapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them.

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.. .

pain is complex phenomenon, so there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. Apart from pain killers, there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Its better to stop useless painkillers. Start ayurvedic medicines. It will take time, but you can get permanent relief up to some extent. Some karmas also will help you, like, massage, local steam, janu basti, janu dhara.

Mr. Lybrate-user, it is necessary to do muscle stretching before & after every sport to prevent injuries as well as to avoid delayed onset muscle soreness leading to muscle tightness & pain. If the pain is only from the muscles, then apply moist heat pack for less than five minutes followed by gentle low back & upper back stretches. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. This back pain is due to no back exercise. Due to this muscle get stiff. When suddenly you get move fast that time this stiff muscle get break and pain start. In ayurved there is mentioned one procedure kati basti. Do this for five days with medicated oil if you want to do it you should do it under doctor observation. So consult ayurvedic doctor near you. You will definitely get good result.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.
