Hi. I am getting a joint pain in my legs and hands. N from few days when I sleep at night after sometime my hand and legs get stiffed. I have to slowly take a movement to stand. Wen I walk I really cant move so easily.

Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Also take calcium tablets shelcal 500mg for a limited period 2 months consult after 10 days.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Suffering from too much knee pain boyh doctors said cartilage is torn take regular pain killers but still no relief also dine physiotherapy for 2 months after that pain as it is alsompatient of hypothyroidism pls help me my pain is getting worse.

You need to get a standing x-ray of both knees ap and lateral view to assess any joint angle variation first. Followed by which you need to be assessed for joint cartilage damage by Mri scan. If there is damage it can be corrected arthroscopically so that arthritis does not set in at early age and you can delay or avoid knee replacement.

Every morning when I wake up, my back ribs hurt. After waking the ache subsides. What could be the reason?

Backache is the commonest ailment. Do not worry, rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain and inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. My right knee is paining from 5 days applied omnigel spray but not feeling any relief.

1.. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2.. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3.. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4.. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5.. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling. 6.Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag). 7. Take 2 tab yograj guggul twice daily with luke warm water chew them well before swallowing.

Sir my age is 23. Height 6 ft. Weight 80 kg. My question is that I am having all symptoms of cushing syndrome since 43 month such as. Excessive hair growth on whole body. Abdominal belly fat. Too much. Chest enlargement. Weakened bone and muscle pain. High bp150/100. Numbness and tingling in hands and feet. High level of headache. I had my cortisol 234ng/dl. Testosterone 2.21ng/dl. Hi after certain age there is deficiency of calcium, vit. D, and multivitamins which leads to osteoporosis, osteopenia etc. Give her balanced diet and slow walk for 20 minutes. Take medicines as prescribed by doctor.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

I am 25 years old. I have strong pain in left knee joint. I consulted a doctor .he told me for MRI. But not only told me for physiotherapy .but I am doing from last 1 month but there is no effect. Please suggest me something after watching my MRI report- MRI LEFT KNEE JOINT STUDY PROTOCOL : SAGITTAL : PD, GRE // CORONAL : STIR, T1W // AXIAL :T2 TSE FINDINGS : There is mild effusion in knee joint extending into suprapatellar and prepatellar recess. Femorotibial articular surfaces and joint space are normal. Visualised bones are normal in cortical outline and marrow signal intensity. Grade II signal change on PD images reaching upto capsular surface is seen in the posterior horn of medial meniscus. Lateral meniscus is normal in outline and signal intensity. Anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are normal in course with normal parenchymal signal intensity. Quadriceps femoris tendon and patellar tendon are normal with normal signal intensity. Patella is normal in location. Patellar articular cartilage is normal in thickness, outline and signal intensity. Medial and lateral collateral ligaments are normal with no evidence of tear. Peri-articular and para-articular muscles reveal normal parenchymal signal intensity and well-preserved intermuscular fat planes. IMPRESSION: FINDINGS ARE SUGGESTIVE OF *GRADE II SIGNAL CHANGE IN POSTERIOR HORN OF MEDIAL MENISCUS. *MILD KNEE JOINT EFFUSION. PLEASE CORRELATE CLINICALLY.

Hello according to your report your posterior meniscus is tear. You have to need knee braces to maintain knee in extension. Knee braces sote time v laga k hi sona. While walking donot give full weight. In physiotherapy session you take ultrasonic therapy for 12 mints on posteriorly of knee. Ift therapy for 15 mints posteriorly knee. In home you take ice or cold pack for 20 mints on back of knee. Take rest for 4 weeks. Because ligaments tear take 6-8 of healing time so do not bend your knee while sitting. Use western toilet.

I fell from stairs yesterday n my ankle got swollen .It pains while walking but the pain doesnt exist when m @ rest .Is it a fracture or muscle tear ? i applied ice thrice n iodex what should i do consult an orthopedic in person or suggest some medicine

Hello this is Dr.Vyas first u consult with an orthopedic take a x-ray to confirm is there any fracture or crack . According to your complain there may be no fracture its ligament tear only you r doing wright treatment applying ice 3-4 times, use iodex but don't do massage, use ankle support , don't walk much more and have some patience its take time 5-7 days.
