U need an xray to be done....simple iopa will do..so u need to go to the dentist for that...and if your wisdome tooth is not coming straight than u will need to get it extracted...temporary u can take mox-cv 625 mg twice daily for 3 days and a painkiller like dan-p will do

A few months back I hd a root canal done but the cap came off immediately afterwards. I did not go bk to fix it. Is a repeat root canal necessary to fix the cap again?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need re-root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection.

I had a root canal treatment on my two front teeth because of an accident last 8 years ago, and now the colour of my teeth is getting yellowish black now what should I do to get the teeth colour white.

MDS
Dentist, Kolkata
I think the colour of the crowns on the teeth must be changing if there have been crowns on the root canal treated teeth. So you will have to change the crowns.

In morning after brushing also my mouth become bad breath. If I take coffee or tea my tongue became fungus. And starting bad breath from mouth. Thats way I am having no self confidence to speak to others. Pls help me.

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Bad breath from the mouth can be of various reasons. Like accumulation of plaque and tartar, decay in teeth, dry mouth, smoking and tobacco chewing, consumption of caffeinated beverages and alcoholic drinks, sore throat, bad digestion. I suggest that you get thorough professional cleaning/scaling done from a dentist, and use antibacterial mouthwashes thereafter. You should also clean your tongue twice daily with a tongue cleaner. Following all these measures will solve your problem. Hope that helps.

Dr. my father is 49 years old. At night when he sleep. He couldn't take breath properly .so a sound produce from his mouth .he have bp 140/90. For his bp he take a medicine aten25. And Wt 92 kg. .he have no thyroid problems. Please help my father Dr. please.

MDS - Orthodontics
Dentist, Faridabad
The problem your father is suffering from is known as Sleep Apnea, where pt finds difficulty in breathing during sleep due falling back of tongue into the throat. Being overweight, increases the tendency towards this problem. A clinical examination is advisable to plan a special appliance to reduce their discomfort. Apart from this, weight loss is highly recommended. Regards.

I have fluorosis marks on teeth. Planning to go for crowns on front two upper teeth And composite veeners for remaining. Advise if its good or not.

MBA (Healthcare), BDS
Dentist, Chennai
Composite veeners wil get discolor after some years and it will break if you bite hard substances with front teeth hence better go for zirconia or all ceramic crowns itself. If it is a small fluorosis marking you can go for composite veenering ceramic crowns wont get stains and it will be like that itself as like the first without any discoloration after some years.

Advanced Aesthetics
Dentist, Jammu
Gum diseases are known for being reversed easily by getting them treated initially; same is the case with gingivitis. Being a milder form of gum disease, it can be eradicated through daily brushing and flossing and getting dental cleaning done regularly.

B.D.S. (Dental Surgeon) , House Surgeon
Dentist,
Drinking a cup of tea everyday helps in keeping the gums and teeth healthy as it contains high amounts of fluoride and flavonoids which prevent harmful bacteria from sticking to the teeth.

I have bleeding when I did brushing, and many times I have poor smell in my mouth, please tell me what should I do.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
- use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water or hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clean. Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums. - eat a balanced diet and limit snacking between meals. Carbohydrates and sugars feed dental plaque. - try an oral irrigation device, commonly known as a" water pick, to clear debris from around the gum line. - you may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

Loss of tongues as well as opposite of tongues was also aches (burned), Please advice me what should I take?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
To avoid infection and reduce pain in a first-degree burn on the tongue: rinse the area well with cool water for a few minutes. Remove any dirt or particles that may be on the burn. Wet a clean cloth with cool water and hold it on top of the burn. Suck on ice chips or a popsicle to soothe the pain. Gargle with cool water or salt water. Avoid warm or hot liquids, which could irritate the burn. Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. Sprinkle a few grains of sugar on the tongue to relieve pain.

teeth pain can be due to decay or fractured teeth, gum infection or sensitivity. get your teeth x-rayed n go for needful treatment. for decay, you might require rct n cap or removal n replacement by implants or bridge. for gum infection, go for scaling and polishing of teeth. for sensitivity, use desensitizing toothpaste twice daily.
