HI, We got married last December (2014) & ours is a love marriage with parents consent. My wife's age is 21 & myself 25. My wife hardly knows any work, but my mom & I tries to teach every work her very softly. If we show more love & affection and teach politely she turns into non-hearing mode, which means she starts to dominate us & dont learn/work at all. If I start to show some anger she starts to cry & start to learn/work. But I do not want her to have pain while she learn the work. Neither we want to see dominance from her. What is the best way to go forward. We use to love a lot & care for each other before marriage. Still now we love & care each other when things are fine. When things are worst it goes to extreme extent of thinking why did we marry each other. Kindly suggest your opinion. We want to lead a happy life together & forever with my wife learning all the work with out any pain. I cannot see anyone pointing at my wife for not knowing basic house hold activities.

You sound like a very reasonable chap and this girl is blessed that she has found a husband like you. Now this peculiar behavior of your wife may be some of the effects of her upbringing. So do not become too harsh on her, and I like that you do not want her to go through pain to learn all the household chores. So I advise you to sit down and have a talk to her and tell her what you have conveyed to me. If she is spoken to and made to understand where you are coming from I am sure she will be able to comply. Sometimes she may have this fear that once she shows she is capable of doing work that she might be dumped with all the work over time. Now you need to give her that assurance that this will not happen, ever. In the first two years of your marriage there will be a power struggle to establish who wears the pants in the house! There is an establishment of who is the final authority between you two. Of course being in your own house gives you some advantage. However this need not become a struggle if you two play complimentary roles i.e. where she is good you play a supportive role and where you are dominant she has to compliment you. This will remove the power struggle. It is very important to sustain the love you both enjoyed before marriage: never talk about any regret at all and ever. Love needs to be worked upon for the rest of your lives. It is too precious to be dismissed under stressful circumstances so easily. And don?t ever worry about what people will say about your wife: what you say and do about her is important. Love her and share with her your expectations and find out her difficulties and if there is any need to meet with a counselor please do not hesitate to ideally nip these issues in the bud and get on with your lovely life. If it will help you can share this response with her and start the ball rolling.

Sir I have a problem. When I got tensed my sweat was released more from my body. And I got nerves. Then my brain doesn't work. And when I see my friends if they are done something great I feel under depression.

Sir I have a problem. When I got tensed my sweat was released more from my body. And I got nerves. Then my brain do...
Your tension has to do with fear it seems. Your comparing yourself with your friends? achievements and your feeling like an under achiever is also not a good sign of your condition. That will indeed lead to depression. You must immediately meet with a counselor and deal with this fear soon. If it is of recent origin, you can easily pin point it and deal with it. But if it is from your past, then your parents will be able to help you and they could be useful when meeting the counselor. You are converting a fear into a sweat as an adaptation which will not working for you. The counselor will help you deal with fear and other emotions and when that is sorted out many of your problems will disappear. You have to be cooperative and follow all the instructions. You are very unique and there is no one like you, ever, and there will be no one like you in the future, ever! So do not compare yourself with others: there will always be someone better than you and you need to accept that. If they have made good with an opportunity that you also had then learn what they did different and you can do the same: learning will happen all your life even unto death. Do not compete with others to lose but to appreciate and learn.

Dear lybrate user, I think, for reasons best known to you only, you are scared of getting infected with hiv. It appears to me that it is disturbing you a lot. I think, firstly, give your blood sample in the pathology lab and get yourself checked for hiv. If you are not infected, then you can be at peace. If you are infected with hiv, then you will need to consult a doctor, who will help you to manage your life. Secondly, please consult a counsellor, irrespective of the outcome of your blood test. There is something, which is bothering your mind, which you need to understand. The consellor will help you to do that. Take care.

You may consider increasing your weight. Make sure you have a sound and regualr 8 hours sleep. Drink plenty of water (at least 2 litres). You should not remain constipated as that will interfere with your food intake. Eat small amounts at regular intervals. Nuts, egg, meat, cheese, fruit juice, shakes, malted drinks are tasty and nutrient as well as calorie dense. At the same time these are not too filling.

Improve Your Concentration - Make Your Study Hour Count!

Improve Your Concentration - Make Your Study Hour Count!

With exam time around the corner, the stress is on both parents and students. Some kids spend very less time with books and assimilate all that is there in the books. Other children may have a hard time trying to focus on studies and even harder time in recollecting what they have studied.

What can help improve focus, concentration, and memory? Try some of these tips and identify what works for you and build your own rules.

  1. Create a suitable environment: Some claim that they study better with the TV or radio on, this is often not true. Get rid of background noises, phone ringtones, etc. This creates “division of attention,” where there is no 100% focus on books. Sit in a quiet environment without any disturbance for better focus. Red walls are believed to improve concentration, so try a red wallpaper, red computer desktop, etc. Sit in the same place and get into a regular routine of studying.
  2. Draw up a schedule or timetable: Try to finish the tougher subjects or topics first by giving adequate time for these.
  3. Treat yourself: When you have thoroughly understood a topic or cracked a practice exam well, treat yourself to a bar of chocolate or a video song. You begin to do better in anticipation of these treats.
  4. Include breaks: A break of 15 minutes every two hours is very essential for the brain to process the information that was pumped in and to get ready for the next lot.
  5. Work on improving brain power: Learning (memorizing or analyzing) stimulates the brain and improves brain power. So, people who are constantly studying can claim to have better brain power.
  6. Build a concentration clock: With our attention spans spiralling down, this is very important. Force yourself to sit in one place and study. If you have the urge to break, try to delay it, first by two minutes, then five minutes, and then 10 minutes. This will gradually help you overcome the urge to take breaks.
  7. Have healthy food: Eating healthy and nutritious food is another habit to develop, if you want to pep up your brain. Ensure your food has sufficient minerals and vitamins. Try eating fresh food and dairy products adequately.
  8. Follow a systematic sleep routine: If you are not someone who likes to sleep for fixed eight hours, begin doing it. This works wonders for the body and mind like very few other things.
  9. Exercise regularly: This improves blood circulation to the brain and improves brain functioning. So be it cycling or running, gymming or swimming, take an exercise break. Yoga or meditation are equally efficient.

Side effects of nico gum include: increase heart rate, increased blood pressure, oral irritation, dental pain, hiccups, heartburn, nausea, and indigestion. The earlier you can stop this habit, the healthier it can be for you. The lower taste and sinful habit of alcohol or smoking can be stopped by replacing it with the higher taste. Simply read nice books which give you a higher meaning to life than chemicals in smoking.

If you feel depressed, it's best to do something about it — depression doesn't just go away on its own. In addition to getting help from a doctor or therapist, here are 5 things you can do to feel better. And if these are not useful you need antidepressants 1. Exercise. Take a 15- to 30-minute brisk walk every day — or dance, jog, or bike if you prefer. People who are depressed may not feel much like being active. In addition to getting aerobic exercise, some yoga poses can help relieve feelings of depression. Two other aspects of yoga — breathing exercises and meditation — can also help people with depression feel better. 2. Nurture yourself with good nutrition. Depression can affect appetite. One person may not feel like eating at all, but another might overeat.. Proper nutrition can influence a person's mood and energy. So eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and get regular meals (even if you don't feel hungry, try to eat something light, like a piece of fruit, to keep you going). 3. Identify troubles, but don't dwell on them. Try to identify any situations that have contributed to your depression. When you know what's got you feeling blue and why, talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a way to release the feelings and to receive some understanding. 4. Express yourself. With depression, a person's creativity and sense of fun may seem blocked. Exercise your imagination (painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, dancing, composing music, etc.) and you not only get those creative juices flowing, you also loosen up some positive emotions. Take time to play with a friend or a pet, or do something fun for yourself. Find something to laugh about — a funny movie, perhaps. Laughter helps lighten your mood. 5. Try to notice good things. Depression affects a person's thoughts, making everything seem dismal, negative, and hopeless. If depression has you noticing only the negative, make an effort to notice the good things in life. Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most of all, don't forget to be patient with yourself. Depression takes time to heal. If you are happy with these answers please click on "useful” link so that I can know my efforts are not wasted. If you want more clarifications or prescription for medicines consult me on this site to ask me directly and not in open questions session It's not easy to say exactly what causes depression and anxiety – it's different for everyone. Sometimes a difficult time in you or your mates' life can set off depression or anxiety, sometimes it's caused by a combination of things that has built up over time and sometimes, there's just no obvious cause at all.

Can loss of teeth affect memory ?

Can loss of teeth affect memory ?

A recent study has found that the walking speed and memory of adults without any teeth decline more rapidly than those who still have some or all of their own teeth.

The study, out of university college of London, studied over 3, 100 British adults over the age of 60 from the English longitudinal study of ageing (elsa), and compared memory and walking speed within the demographic. Published in the journal of the American geriatrics society, the research found that study participants with none of their own teeth performed approximately 10% worse in both walking speed and memory tests than participants that had some natural teeth.

The associations between poorer memory and physical function were more obvious in adults 60-74 years of age than in those over 75.

'tooth loss could be used as an early marker of mental and physical decline in older age, particularly among 60-74 year-olds,' said lead author Dr. Georgios tsakos of the UCL department of epidemiology and public health in a recent college news release. 'regardless of what is behind the link between tooth loss and a decline in function, recognizing excessive tooth loss presents an opportunity for early identification of adults at higher risk of faster mental and physical decline later in their life. There are many factors likely to influence this decline, such as lifestyle and psychosocial factors, which are amenable to change.'

Prior to making conclusions about the associations between tooth loss and memory and physical function decline, researchers adjusted the results for potentially influential factors, such as sociodemographic characteristics, preexisting health problems, socioeconomic status, and education. Despite the adjustments for these factors, people without their own teeth still walked slower than those who still had their teeth.

Hello sir may pichle 7 salse depression may hoon sir meri skin dark hain isliye mujhe 7 salse sharam ati hai sir plea...
Hie lybrate-user For depression please consult any counselor and Psychologist for face to face counselling and side by side try all these steps. Depression is a part of every individual. It comes in all sorts, in different forms and in varied levels. It is not easy to say that we already have been so affected with the many things that come our ways. It is in fact easier to hide that we are indeed so sad, so vulnerable and for that, it is best to cover up what we feel inside. What I have here are things to do to overcome any extreme sadness, at least before things get off-hand. To overcome depression, always ask yourself, what really is my problem. I know I have to know what is wrong, I have to know what really is the matter. After that, try to find out, what made it wrong, what gave me this problem, what caused this. Then try to think of the best solution to deal with it. But then there are times when even despite knowing all the answers to these you still cannot find the answers. So I know it is good to always ask help. You can ask help from your family and even your friends can offer you advice too. You can always seek comfort to people who love you. And of course to give you concrete answers so you know how to help yourself, you can always seek professional help. Definitely seek medical help if things really get out of hand. But as of now, if you are sure that your family and friends are enough to keep you running a happy life. Go out and window shop. Go to the gym and work out. Buy yourself an ice cream cone. It is always good to pamper yourself once in a while especially when you need it most. I don't mean that it is alright to eat everything in your refrigerator. What I want to point at is if you feel down, then do something that you really like most. That way, you know that you are indeed doing something good not for anybody else but for yourself. Reading can be of great help, it can even answer your own questions about how to deal with life. It also is the same with chatting and talking to people. When we are depressed, we have tendencies to allow a personal bubble to eat us up. This bubble will limit us, our words, our actions. We shouldn't allow that, otherwise we will feel too defenseless, too helpless to overcome depression. Here are some things to do every day: Exercise - This is the best way to conquer depression. It’s hard to “think your way out of depression.” But if you engage your body, you will feel better. Meditate - There are so many forms of meditation and some of them are really easy. The benefits of meditation are endless too. Here’s an introduction to meditation I wrote. Learn to breathe deeply - Make a routine of breathing deeply into your belly. This relaxes both the body and mind. I do this whenever I start to feel anxious, fearful, depressed or really any negative emotions. Get out in nature - Nature just makes you feel at peace Walk outside Express yourself creatively - Write, draw, paint, dance, sing, design…etc. Whatever medium you prefer. Creative expression helps with moving any stuck or negative energy. Help someone else - Make someone’s day, give someone a compliment…etc. This takes the focus off of yourself. Plus, helping people feels good. Focus on gratitude - FEEL gratitude in your heart for everything in your life. Even if the only thing you can think of is being alive, that’s more than enough to feel gratitude. Thank You All The BEst.

Emotional Problems - 5 Ways You Can Deal With It!

Emotional Problems - 5 Ways You Can Deal With It!

Your mental and emotional health impacts how you think, feel, and carry on in everyday life. It additionally influences your capacity to adapt to stress, defeat challenges, construct connections, and recover from life's difficulties and hardships. Whether you are hoping to adapt to a particular psychological wellness issue, better manage disagreeable feelings, or essentially need to feel more confident, enthusiastic, and adjusted, there are a lot of things you can do to take control of your emotional health.

Regardless of how sad or defenseless you feel as of now, these systems can help your state of mind, fabricate versatility, and increase your general pleasure in life:

  1. Remain active: The psyche and the body are naturally connected. When you enhance your physical wellbeing, you will naturally encounter more mental and emotional happiness. Physical movement additionally discharges endorphins, effective chemicals that lift your state of mind and give you energy. Customary practice or action can majorly affect mental and enthusiastic medical issues, mitigate stress, enhance memory, and help you to rest better.
  2. Oversee stress: At the point when stress gets to be distinctly overpowering, it can harm your state of mind, trigger mental and physical medical issues, and influence your personal satisfaction. As examined above, face-to-face social association and physical action are both instinctual approaches to get rid of stress. In any case, when stress hits, it is not generally practical to have a companion close by to incline toward or to have the capacity to go out for a walk or run.
  3. Eat a solid eating routine: Unless you have tried to change your eating regimen before, you may not know exactly how much you eat or not eat. This influences the way you think and feel. An unfortunate eating regimen can inflict significant damage on your brain and mindset, disturb your rest, decrease your energy, and weaken your immune system.
  4. Get enough quality rest: Reducing sleep may appear like a good move when you have a very busy life. However, with regards to your mental and emotional wellbeing, getting enough quality sleep is a need, not a luxury. Skipping even a couple of hours here and there can inflict significant damage on your mind, energy, mental sharpness, and capacity to handle stress. Long-term unending work can wreak destruction on your health.
  5. Discover reason and importance in life: Everybody determines significance and reason in various ways that include doing things that benefit others, and also yourself. You may consider it an approach to feel required, like yourself, a reason that drives you on, or essentially motivation to get up in the morning. In natural terms, discovering importance and objective is fundamental to mental wellbeing as it can produce new cells and make new neural pathways in the brain.

How to Overcome Snoring

MBBS, D.P.H
General Physician, Gurgaon
How to Overcome Snoring

1. Loose weight. Can reduce fatty tissue in the back of the throat and decrease or even stop snoring.

2. Exercise can also help to stop snoring. As well aiding weight loss, exercising your arms, legs, and abs, for example, also leads to toning the muscles in your throat, which in turn can lead to less snoring.

3. Quit smoking. Smoking irritates the membranes in the nose and throat which can block the airways and cause snoring.

4. Avoid alcohol, sleeping pills, and sedatives because they relax the muscles in the throat and interfere with breathing.

5. Establish regular sleep patterns. Create a healthy bedtime ritual with your partner and stick to it.

6. Clear nasal passages. If you have a stuffy nose, rinse sinuses with saline before bed. If you have allergies, reduce dust mites and pet dander in your bedroom or use an allergy medication. Pt nasoclear nasal drop inboth nostril before sllep.

7. Keep bedroom air moist. Dry air can irritate membranes in the nose and throat, so if swollen nasal tissues are the problem, a humidifier may help.

8. Change your sleeping position. Elevating your head four inches may ease breathing and encourage your tongue and jaw to move forward. Sleep on your side instead of your back.

 9. Try an anti-snoring mouth appliance.

10 throat exercises to prevent snoring

A. Repeat each vowel (a-e-i-o-u) out loud for three minutes a few times a day

B. Place the tip of your tongue behind your top front teeth. Slide your tongue backwards for three minutes a day.

C. Close your mouth and purse your lips. Hold for 30 seconds.

D. With mouth open, move jaw to the right and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat on left side.

E. With mouth open, contract the muscle at the back of your throat repeatedly for 30 seconds.

6 Effective Ways To Get Rid Of Body Pain!

6 Effective Ways To Get Rid Of Body Pain!

Whether it is winter temperatures dipping, a lower temperature caused due to rains or chills created by air conditioning, the moment our body experiences lower temperatures than it is comfortable with, various forms of aches crop up, esp. if you already have a condition or have been physically hurt.
Winters are typically associated with several types of body pains. Particularly, we’ve seen higher incidences of nerve – related pain, joint pains and vascular pains during the season.

Manage your pains by following these 6 tips:
1. Keep yourself warm: Needless to say, it’s extremely important to keep yourself warm when its gets uncomfortably cold. Clinical research has shown higher incidence of nerve – related, vascular pain and joint pains if your body is exposed to low temperatures for long periods. This is especially true if you are 60+ in age. So, dress appropriately with body warmers, sweaters and jackets

2. Keep yourself physically active: A colder weather reduces average activity levels. An average person walks up to 1,000 lesser steps when its cold. To avoid pain in knees and other joints, it’s especially important to keep up activity levels. Try and take out time for walking in the afternoons or evenings, even if it is inside your house or office.

3. Take care of your dietIt is important to ensure that your intake of Vitamin D, Calcium and Vitamin B complex is adequate. Make sure that your diet remains rich in dal, green leafy vegetables (Vitamin B complex), milk (Calcium) and cheese and egg yolk (Vitamin D).

4. Get enough exposure to sunlight: Lesser exposure to the sun causes Vitamin D deficiency during winters, which can result in fatigue, lethargy and general body pains. Make sure to get at least 15-20 minutes of sunlight exposure, ideally in the mornings around 9am to 10am.

5. Avoid the wrong foods: Actively manage your diseases like diabetes and hypertension to stay pain free. If you suffer from diabetes, make sure that you do not overeat foods with high glycemic index. If you suffer from hypertension, it is important to keep away from spicy and oily foods.

6. Get expert advice: Visit your pain specialist if your pains continue for more than 2 weeks. Be regular with your prescribed pain medications, but strictly avoid self-medication or overuse of painkillers. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask a free question.
