Sir I am 33 year old. My problem is I can not sleep well. When I get up morning I feel as if I awake entire night. My head seems me heavy. My mood remains off. Besides this I feel burning in skin and I do not get sweat in my skin even hardworking and summer. My weight is 60 kg. My most big problem is that I can not sleep many hours after having sex with wife. If I take propranol and diazepam I get relief. This problem is for last 15 years from which I am bearing.

1. avoid caffeine found in coffee, tea , chocolate, cola, and some pain relievers.[four to six hours before bedtime.] 2. quiet, dark, and cool environment can help promote sound sleep. . [Use heavy curtains, or an eye mask to block light, and also keeping computers, TVs, and other work materials out of the room will help promote mental bonding between your bedroom and sleep] 3. Avoid stressful, stimulating activities like doing work, discussing emotional issues. Physically and psychologically stressful activities can cause the body to secrete the stress hormone cortisol, which is associated with increasing alertness.

Please do consult a doctor anyway and prevent the progress of any condition, whether caused by smoking or otherwise. If the cough is related to a normal cold, you may be over reacting. A visit is safe and may be preventive too.

Sir I am suffering from migration headache from 2 days? what should I do? can I consult the doctor or can I take medicine for headache from medical store.

Migrane can be managed with lifestyle changes and medications, try muscle relaxation exercises. Relaxation may help ease the pain of a migraine headache. Get enough sleep, but don't oversleep. Get an adequate amount of sleep each night. It's best to go to bed and wake up at regular times, as well. Rest and relax. If possible, rest in a dark, quiet room when you feel a headache coming on. Place an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on the back of your neck and apply gentle pressure to painful areas on your scalp. It is very important keep a headache diary. Continue keeping your headache diary even after you see doctor. It will help you learn more about what triggers your migraines and what treatment is most effective. A dose of riboflavin in appropriate dose as prescribed by me, also may prevent migraines or reduce the frequency of headaches. Coenzyme q10 supplements may decrease the frequency of migraines, magnesium supplements may also be used to treat migraines do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

Ages 30 to 34 your body fertility begins to decline at age 30, but this change happens gradually, over the next five years or so. If you need infertility treatment, your chances of success are higher than they are for an older woman. For women under age 35 the success rate of in vitro fertilization (ivf), for example, is 25 to 28 percent; for those over age 40, that rate drops to 6 to 8 percent. One study found that the rate of cesarean sections was close to two times higher among women ages 30 to 34 than among those in their 20s, although doctors don't know why. Your emotional self" women who have been fully involved in their job in their 20s often feel emotionally ready to start a family as they enter their next decade" says glazer" and they have the energy and the resources to do it. But they may also feel pulled in different directions. They worry about whether they'll be able to return to their work life? or whether they'll even want to" risks to your baby the miscarriage rate is 11.7 percent. By age 30 your risk of having a baby with down syndrome is 1 in 952, and a baby with any chromosomal abnormality, 1 in 385.

Hello doctor, im harish. Im 30 years old, I am very thin, I want to gain some weight, hungry is not proper in me, I am 5.4 height, and 45 kg weight. I just want to gain at least 10 kg.

B.Sc. - Dietitics / Nutrition, Nutrition Certification,Registered Dietitian
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

With all its moisturizing action, aloe vera is one of the most effective skin soothing agents. When you rub the gel over an itchy spot, it helps reduce the skin irritation in that area and provides quick relief from itching. Just break a leaf from the plant, cut it lengthwise using a knife and using a spoon, scoop out the jelly-like substance inside. Apply a little of this gel to the itchy area and leave it on for a few minutes.

How I can healthy my hairs and reduce split end hairs and prevent from white hairs.

Trichologist
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Split ends is the sign of protein deficiency so eat food which is rich in proteins like sprouts, beans, nuts, soya. Trim the hair every month. Oil the hair and scalp 3/week and wash it 3/week. If hair is dry then it is indication that there is deficiency of minerals in hair. Consult trichologist for treatment. Self treatment is not advisable.

Raw Mango Onion Salad

B.H.Sc (Food Science & Nutrition), M.H.Sc (Food Science & Nutrition)
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai

An excellent salad to prevent sunstroke and reduce BP and cholesterol

Mix finely chopped pieces of raw mango and onion together, add chopped green chillies, a dash of rock salt, a pinch of turmeric and red chilli powder, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Onion due to its high sulphur content prevents body fevers that can be caused due to sun stroke. Raw mango is excellent for preventing sun stroke.

Apart from this, raw mango gives vitamin C and potassium and onion helps in thinning of blood, so this salad also helps to reduce BP and cholesterol.

Enjoy a salad with dual benefits.
