I am 34 years male, a little bit fat, 73 kg. I take two roti in breakfast at 8.30 am, then I take meal (Rice) at 2.30 to 3.00 pm, then in evening I take a cup of tea with biscuit or without biscuit, then I take my dinner (Rice) at 10 to 10.30 pm. Is this ok for a healthy diet? I want to loss some weight. Can you please suggest me a diet plan suitable for me.

if you feel enough that diet for reducing weight then follow it regularly or you can try following diet chart to reduce weight for four week. Week 1 8:00 am (as soon as you wake up) – 2 glasses of methi seeds water ( soak 1tsp of methi seeds in 2 glasses of water. Strain out the methi seeds and drink the water. Helps a lot in water retention and bloating) 5 soaked almonds with the skin. 1 kali mirch u don’t have to chew it just swallow it down. 9:00 am – 1 toast (brown bread) with amul lite butter / hung curd dressing/ salad and chutney 11:30 am – one fruit of your wish 1:30 pm – A small plate of salad before starting the meal. The fibers in the salad fills u up which in turn prevents false hunger that makes u overeat.1 bran chappati (mix wheat flour and wheat bran in equal proportions.) with 1 bowl ( normal sized katori ) of dal. Generally at my place dal is cooked at night so I used to store the dal made at night for the other days lunch, u can do the same. 5:00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits(just marie, no other biscuits)/ 1 small bowl bhuna channa/ 1bowl popcorn ( not the buttery act 2 ones but air popped popcorns without the butter) 7:30 pm –A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 1 bran chappati with 1 k vegetable ( any vegetable not rajmah, channa or kadhi) Week 2 8:00 am (as soon as you wake up) – 2 glasses of tulsi leave water ( soak 5 tulsi leaves in 2 glasses of water. Strain out the leaves and drink the water.) 5 soaked almonds with the skin. 1 kali mirch. 9:00 am – 1 toast (brown bread) with amul lite butter / hung curd dressing/ salad and chutney 11:30 am – one fruit of your wish 1:30 pm – A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 1 sandwich (2 brown breads with paneer filling, if you are a vegetarian and egg whites, if you are a non vegetarian.) 5:00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits 7:30 pm –A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 1 bran chappati with 1 k vegetable (this week you can take rajmah, channa or kadhi ) 8:30 pm – one fruit of your wish This week you loss just .9kgs Week 3 8:00 am – 2 glasses of methi seeds water. 5 soaked almonds with the skin. 1 kali mirch. 9:00 am – 1 glass of milk and a fruit 11:30 am – one fruit of your wish 1:30 pm – 1 bran chappati and any vegetable 5:00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits/ 1 small bowl bhuna channa/ 1bowl popcorn (not the buttery act 2 ones but air popped popcorns without the butter) 7:30 pm – 3 pcs steamed or roasted chicken or fish + salad (non vegetarians) Any one of the following for vegetarians: 1. 1 bowl dal .+ 1 bowl curd + salad 2. 1 bowl veg + 1 bowl curd + salad 8:30 pm – one fruit of your wish Week 4 8:00 am – 2 glasses of methi seeds water. 5 soaked almonds with the skin. 1 kali mirch. 9:00 am – 1 glass of cold coffee and a bb toast 11:30 am – one fruit of your wish 1:30 pm – This week you have a lot of options which you can take alternatively. 1. 1 bowl sprouts + fruits 2. 2 bowl vegetables + salads 3. 1 bowl dalia + 1 bb toast 4. 1 bowl vegetables + 1 bb toast 5. 1 bowl kadhi + 1 quarter plate rice 5:00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits/ 1 small bowl bhuna channa/ 1bowl popcorn (not the buttery act 2 ones but air popped popcorns without the butter) 7:30 pm – 1 bran chappati and 1 bowl vegetable. 8:30 pm – one fruit of your wish

Hi , This is not the right time to go for any diet plan as you must be breast feeding your baby and the baby should be exclusively breastfed for first 6 months. Most of the excess calories can be burnt if you breastfed your baby. In diet you should just avoid excess sugar and fat at this point.

Hi, low calorie, normal protein, vitamin and mineral (except sodium) resticated carbohydrates, resticated fats and liberal fluid, high fibre diet are given. You should go for brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take frequent meals instead of 3 big meals. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast.

Hi Any Tea or Coffee are good stimulants for low BP patients. Green tea is also good. It has some antioxidants which are helpful for body repair. However Green tea does not reduce any fat from the body. For fat reduction you have to aim for fitness. Reduce eating out, reduce fried stuff and sugars. Reduce portion size. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Drink More water Exercise regularly. Then you will be slim and fit.

Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose belly fat: Body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. To reduce weight 1) do not eat for 3 hours before you go to sleep. Eating before going to bed is one of the main cause of rapid weight gain. 2) drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday. 3) eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 4) don't skip meals. 5) green tea help with weight loss, is by reducing appetite. 6) eat fresh fruits instead of fruit juices. Fruits are good source of fibre except banana mango, chiku. 7). At least half hour walk/day. All are common things but for definite result you need individual diet and exercise schedule.

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. You need to go on a diet of 2000 Kcal per day and increase your exercise. Stop all sugar intake (use Sugar free, equals, splenda) to sweeten your tea/coffee, eat only two chappati / slices of bread with each meal, or one bowl of rice. Fill your tummy with fruits like Papaya, apple and guava, or salads like cucumber, lettuce. You can eat any amount of vegetables cooked in small amounts of oil. Take the white of two boiled eggs every day and white meat like fist / chicken, also cooked in very small amount of oil. Please maintain a diary for your daily intake and go for a run / walk for 45 min every day.

We can plan your daily diets according to your food habits, lifestyle, blood group & medical history, if any. However you need to follow them to see good results. Include more of fruits, milk & milk products, high- protein foods, less of carbohydrates & fried foods and sweets. Drink 3-4 lts. Of water daily. Eat early & light dinners.

Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Remember, there's no magic bullet for weight loss. The key to losing weight is burning more calories than you consume. Choose a variety of healthy foods — such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean sources of protein — and include physical activity in your daily routine. Go through the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals. When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. 13: Go for a health walk. Gear up yourself daily for a health walk which not only shed off your extra calorie, but also reduces the stress levels. 14: Take small frequent breaks for a quick walk in between as sitting for long hours together encourages the accumulation of fat in the body! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 3 months. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance.

Dear Lybrate User. -Eat breakfast. It might seem counterproductive to eat if you're trying to lose weight, but studies show that eating breakfast within an hour of waking up keeps your insulin levels steadier and your LDL cholesterol levels lower -Take atleast 7hrs of sound sleep: Research indicates that the secretion of cortisol (a hormone your body produces during times of stress) is correlated with an increase in belly fat. -Aim to take 10, 000 steps a day. In one study where men reduced their daily steps from about 10, 000 to less than 1, 500 (without changing their diet), their visceral (belly) fat increased by 7% after just 2 weeks -Switch out refined grains for whole grains. In a scientific study, people who ate all whole grains (in addition to five servings of fruits and vegetables, three servings of low-fat dairy, and two servings of lean meat, fish, or poultry) lost more belly fat than another group that ate the same diet, but with all refined grains -Drink plenty of water. Studies suggest that consistently drinking water throughout the day can lead to a more active metabolism, regardless of dieting -Eat good fats. Studies suggest that a diet with a higher ratio of monounsaturated fats like avocados, nuts, seeds, soybeans, and chocolate — can prevent the accumulation of belly fat -Avoid Trans fats (in margarines, crackers, cookies, or anything made with partially hydrogenated oils) seem to result in more fat being deposited in the abdomen. -Eat more of Soluble fiber (such as that found in apples, oats, and cherries) lowers insulin levels which can speed up the burning of visceral belly fat. -Eat healthy foods. Drink plenty of water and start exercising to get amazing results.
