My mother is suffering from diabetes since 5 years. Is her kidney will damage? Please suggest.
If the diabetes is not under control and she has long standing diabetes risk of kidney damage is there.she should monitor her blood sugar three monthly along with Hba1c and consult diabetologist for treatment and advice. You can do renal function test like blood urea.creatinine and urine R/E for albumin to find out whether kidney is affected or not.Along with medicine she should go for regular walk, reduce weight if overweight, control diet by avoiding sweets and excess carbohydrates.she should strictly follow diabetic diet after consulting dietician

First thing you should do is to get rid off anxiety and stress as those are main offenders in many. You can try any of the following methods. You can do squeeze and stop technique. You can stimulate your partner to maximum before getting yourself stimulated. You can deviate your thought to something nonsexual when you about to near ejaculation. You can put on a condom or condom with anesthetic which will decrease the excessive stimulation on penis and there by prevent premature ejaculation. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.

She is suffering from thyroid & her weight increases as due to water in her body.what to do
Pay close attention to your food choice. ·        Eat less carbohydrate food sources like chapatti, rice, noodles, pasta, bread etc as they help in gaining weight and storing fat. ·        While having lunch or dinner eat vegetables and dal to fill your stomach rather eating lots of chapattis or rice. ·        Have a healthy breakfast like poha, idli, upma, plain dosa, oats, dalia or khichdi with vegetables. ·        Eat a balance diet including good quality proteins like: fish, lean chicken and eggs. If you are a vegetarian then include skimmed milk, low fat paneer, butter milk, soy bean or soy milk in your diet. ·        Avoid ghee, butter or vanaspati. Prepare your diet with vegetable oil like sunflower, safflower soybean or olive oil. ·        Eat plenty of salads. ·        Eat fresh fruits including apple, orange, pineapple, papaya, sweet lime, berries, guava, watermelon, mask melon etc. ·        Avoid eating outside junk and fried foods like pizza, pasta, roll, burgers, cakes, chocolates and cookies. ·        Have an early dinner. The earlier the better, giving your system more time to digest the food. ·        Avoid cold drinks/alcohol as they add empty calories to your diet. ·        Avoid fat enriched milk products like cheese, sweets, full fat cream etc. ·        Drink 3 liters of water in a day. ·        Try to have less sugar in food and beverages. ·        Try to drink 2 cups of green tea in a day as green tea helps in weight loss by aiding digestion. ·        Avoid red meat like mutton, beef, lamb or pork. ·        Eat sprouts or roasted chana, whenever you feel hungry.

Is Diabetes Curable?

LCPS, BAM&S
General Physician, Pune
Is Diabetes Curable?

More young people are detected with diabetes than aged people, nowadays. Stress of work, irregular lifestyle and uncontrolled eating are the reasons of diabetes. Diabetes is incurable. Repeat, diabetes is incurable. But, it can be kept under control. There is no cure for diabetes in any pathy. So stop visiting different pathy clinics, vaids, homeopathy clinics or any magic remedy centres to get cured.

To keep diabetes under control follow these simple tricks.
1. Eat six times a day, eat little every time.
2. Walk for 60 minutes every single day, rain or sun.
3. Avoid or eat least possible rice, sweet, fried food, potatoes.
4. Take drugs.
5. Sleep early, sleep well.
6. Avoid stress, relax, laugh, play, listen to music and enjoy picnics.
7. Check your hba1c every 3 months and adjust your medication under the guidance of a good doctor.

Allopathy and Ayurveda both have very good medicines that will keep your sugar down. Ayurvedic drugs are free of side effects whereas allopathic drugs have to be constantly monitored for side effects. But in any case both the types of drugs are to be taken lifelong.

As long as sugar levels are under control, diabetics have nothing to fear about. They can lead a normal life, have good longevity, can enjoy all pleasures of life including sex, travel, sports. Restrictions on eatings can be compromised once in a while when sugar levels are under control.

Quarterly check-ups of sugar and general health check up once in two years will ensure that life is going well for you.

Hi! Good evening sir / madam suffering from thyroid problem this week I tested TSH value 7.70 so which tablet I have to use? How much mg tablet?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr Mohiuddin, Thanks for the query. I think this question is with regard to your wife, if so you should have provided her height and weight. That would have given some idea as to whether she is overweight or obese. Giving your details has no meaning. TSH 7.7 mU/L is above normal, but falls in the subclinical stage. That normally is not treated unless there are specific symptoms related to hypothyroidism. Thanks.

Hypothyroidism now a days is more an iodine deficiency disease, but it has become an autoimmune disease. In homoeopathy we give the medicine which makes the body generator, an adequate thyroid level, so that gradually body resume it's original functionality which is visible through the thyroid level test time to time, and gradually you can get rid of your altroxin as well, and may be after sometime you can stop homoeopathy medicine as your thyroid level remains normal afterwards. Avoid cabbage, cauliflower, soya in food.
