You have not written diet schedule. As per child should be six times a day fresh food prepared at home contain cereals like whearfloor, rice whole cooked soft. Self taking ang self eating is important at this age even if child donot eat a nything for two|three days.

I want paediatrician to answer this question, can I take Tab garcinia two tabs in a day one before lunch and dinner with my pattern of life, I am breastfeeding my baby who is 1.5 yrs, I feed him only 2 times in 24 hrs. I want to reduce 10 kg weight.

for Weight loss - take warm water for drinking, walk for 45 minutes in the morning, take dinner in half quantity of lunch & early in the evening, do regular exercise. Children learn from the things they see. So you and the other family members start sharing things in front of them. You can sit with both of them separately and try to teach them sharing. Never lose temper in front of them. Be patient but firm to your decision.

 Food should be distributed into small frequent feeds. The days requirement should be well distributed between the different meals. Skipping a meal or fasting is not really advisable. 

As far as possible, the patient should maintain ideal body weight. Considering the height, weight, activity, age and sex of the individual the days calorie requirement can be calculated. Of the total calories 55-65% should come from cho's 15-20% from protein and the remaining 15-20% from fats. 

General instructions to be followed:

Different cereals contain almost the same amount of cho and so the quantity of cereal consumed should be noted rather than the type consumed. 

Whole grain cereals are better, preferred for their fibre content and satiety value.

Rice gruel if consumed, should be done so by discarding the rice water, and adding hot water. 

When consuming wheat porridge, it is better to have it with pulses than using coconut milk in it. 

Include whole pulses in the diet, soya products help to reduce cholesterol. Sprouted pulses are more nutrious. 

Fish can be included in the diet, in the curry form. Fried fish is the best avoided. Shell fishes like prawns, lobsters etc should be avoided. 

Poultry (without skin) can be used occasionally. Beef, pork, mutton, liver etc should be avoided by cardiac patients. Trim off excess fat (if any) before cooking. 

Egg yolk has to be avoided by individuals with hyperlipidemia. 

Milk and its products need not to be used more than 400 ml/ day. Use skimmed milk whenever possible, otherwise cream has to be removed before consumption. 

Root vegetable like tapioca, yam, potato, colocasia etc are better avoided and if used, should be in moderation instead of cereals.

Include more vegetables (esp. Raw salads and green leafy vegetables) in your diet, as it is rich in fibre which in turn helps to reduce blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Raw salads with sprouted pulses enhances the nutrient composition. 

Fruits are restricted for diabetics and preferably should be consumed as such than having it in the form of juice. Select low calorie fruits from exchange list. 

Cardiac and hypertensive patients can take 3-4 servings of fruits. Whenever possible consume fruits with edible skins eg. Apple. Guava etc. 

Use of coconut and its products must be minimized. 

Cardiac patients need not restrict the intake of tender coconut water, whereas diabetes can only use it occasionally. 

It is better to avoid nuts like badam, peanuts, cashew nuts etc. But occasionally can be used in restricted amounts instead of some other food items so that the calories remain unchanged. 

Sugar and sweet should be avoided by diabetic patients. Low calorie sweeteners can be used in moderation as substitutes for sugar, honey, sweets etc. Cardiac and hypertensive patients should minimize their intake of sugar and sweets. 

Garlic, curry leaves, fenugreek seeds cluster beans, oatbran etc have blood sugar and cholesterol loosing efforts. Ginger, foods in rich with vit- e and b carotene reduces the risk of cardiac diseases. 

Alcohol intake injurious to health, 1 ml of alcohol contains 7 calories. Alcohol can cause hypoglyemia and can increase triglycerides which can be harmful for the heart. 

Cooking oil used should be minimized and may be restricted to 10-15 ml/day. (2-3 tsp). Use cooking methods that require little or no fat. Hidden fat in bakery products and snacks should also be taken into account. 

Preferably use a combination of cooking oils like sesame. Ground nut, sunflower, rice bran, corn oil etc. Use of coconut and palm oil should be maintained at minimum levels. 

Dinner should be enjoyed two hours before retiring. At bed time either diluted milk of fruit can be consumed. 

Include foods from all the different food groups and thus consume a balanced diet. 

Regular exercise is most useful but physical strain after a meal should be avoided. 

Free foods (can be included liberally)


 Thin buttermilk, unsweetened lime juice, jeera water, fenugreek water, raw vegetable salads made of low calorie vegetables, plain clear soups etc. 

Foods to be used in moderation.

Cereals, pulses, dhals, egg white, fish, chicken (skinned) milk and milk products, fruits, coconut, oil etc. 

Foods to be avoided by diabetics. 

Sugar, honey, jaggery, glucose and sweets of all varieties like cake, pastries, jams, jelly, sweetened drinks etc. 

Roots and tubers like potato, tapioca, yam etc

Butter, ghee, dalda and fried preparations. 

Horlicks, bournvita, boost etc

Fruits like jackfruit, banana, mango, sapota etc. 

Dry fruits and nuts

Barley water, rice water etc. 

Cholesterol rich foods (to be avoided by cardiac patients)

Whole milk and milk products

Egg yolk

Shellfishes like prawn, crab, lobster etc. 

Organ meats like kidney, liver, brain etc. 

Chicken, duck with skin. 

Sweet like pastries, ice creams etc. 

Butter, ghee, dalda, coconut oil, palmoil

Fried foods like vada, chips, pappads, samosa etc. 

Alcoholic drinks, creams soups etc. 

Fiber rich foods

Whole wheat, parboiled, sago, oats etc. 

Pulses

Fenugreek and sesame foods

Vegetables and fruits (with skin)

Fresh coconut etc. 

Sodium rich foods (to be avoided by hypertensive patients)

Salt (avoid extra salt in food and table)

Baking powder, baking soda, ajinomoto etc

Bakery products like biscuits, cakes, pastries, chocolates, bread, bun etc. 

Salted chips, nuts, popcorn etc

Pappads, pickles, dried fish etc

Canned and salt preserved foods

Sauces, soup cubes

Sausages, lobsters, meat and yeast extracts

Carbonated beverages

Readymade foods like cornflakes, noodles, fast foods etc.

Proprietary drinks eg. Horlicks, complan, bournvita etc

I hope collect her dish and eat on table with others. You have not to jolt her to eat food. She is not eating fast food outside house. If both these. Point is followed then you need to some extra calories in form of oats dishes. I hope she is full term and gaining weight in under 5 years age.

Hello the parent should teach the baby about the feeds. Improper feeding habit can cause severe growth failure and may be mental retardation. Start complementary feed which should be nutritious and palatable. Regards.

Study Smarter and Not Harder!

There are few things I hear over and over again from students:

  1. How they are studying for so many in a day
  2. How they do not have even time for anything else in their life due to study pressure
  3. How they are sleep deprived
  4. How much they are stressed
  5. And finally, after all the sacrifices and hard work, their exam performance is not what they expect.

Here are few tips to study smart, improve your grades and yet have a life!
We all know that 2 hours of focused study will be much more productive than 4 hours of distracted study. And, the good news is that concentration is a mental skill that you can develop and improve. There are two ways to improve your concentration:

A. First, work on raising your brain's natural ability to concentrate or in other words, learn to increase your attention span.
B. Second, adjust the environment around you to make concentrating easier.

Improving your concentration takes a little time and effort, but it is worth it. In my personal experience with students, I have seen noticeable improvement in relatively short time.

A. Ideas for daily concentration boosting habits include

  1. Mindfulness meditation: Many studies confirm that 20 minutes of meditation or more per day improves concentration and attention span. Mindfulness meditation, where one focuses on one's breathing,  is one of the simplest way of meditation. Start with ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes before bed. To begin with you may try a guided meditation. One can easily find audios for guided meditation online.
  2. Proper sleep: I am sorry to say this. Pulling all nighters will not help with your grade. Unless you are getting sufficient restful sleep, you are not going to be as mentally focused as you could be to study as well as answer questions in exams.
  3. Food for your Brain: The more you use certain skills, the more they are reinforced in the brain. So it makes sense that playing concentration games and games that require you to focus will improve your concentration ability. You need to be consistent in this. Play for about 10 to 20 minutes each day. Have fun, and get the benefits but remember not to spend more than 20 minutes a day. Your goal is to improve your concentration and not just keep scoring higher in the game! Try Lumosity and use only free version this will help you restrict your daily play time to 20 minutes and have maximum benefit.
  4. Eat healthier: Your brain needs the proper nutrients to allow you to focus. Eat more vegetables and fruits and avoid consumption of junk food as much as possible. Instead you could keep some nuts such as walnuts, almond or peanuts as in between munches. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white flour in your diet as much as you could.  
  5. Exercise: It is helpful in both reducing stress and increasing energy and focus. At least 20 minutes a day would go a long way. Going for a short jog of 20 minutes will make next 4 to 5 hours of study very efficient.

B. Optimize your mental state & environment

In addition to building the habits described above into your daily routine; also adjust your environment and your current mental state to improve your concentration when studying.

  1. Create a study space: Your brain loves routine. Create a place where all you do is study. An obvious choice is a secluded desk of some kind, but the trick is to make sure you only study in that spot. Studying in bed is a bad habit, for example, because your body is trained to want to sleep once you get into bed.
  2. Remove distractions: Turn off the ringer on your phone and take other steps to prevent interruptions. Don't study with the television on or with radio playing. Some studies have shown that soft instrumental music (no vocals) can help improve your concentration.
  3. Reduce background noises: If you have to study or work in an environment where it is too loud (classroom or open space) or too quiet (such as at home or at a library) you can get easily distracted by outside influences. With the right amount of background noise you can actually block out distractions and enhance your creative thinking.
  4. Use timer: Set a time limit when you need to study new material. For example, let's say you want to read one chapter in a book (and remember it). Decide in advance that you can have 45 minutes to read the chapter, and 15 minutes to review it. Set a timer to keep yourself honest, then pace yourself to keep within the allotted time.
  5. Stay motivated: If you see studying as burden, it's hard to concentrate. One way to stay motivated is to set up a reward system. Tell yourself you have to earn that hour of watching your favorite show later in the evening by first completing 2-3 hours of intense studying. That way, even if the material is dry, you have the reward to look forward to.
  6. Take breaks: Take a break every two hours. You mental energy will begin to decline after a long period of study. So every two hours or so, take a ten minute break. Walk around, eat a light snack, or just stare at the wall to relax your mind.

Concentrating is the first step to learning anything new. It only makes sense that if you improve your concentration, your memory will improve also.

Once you have stopped breast feeding your child then you can consider breast tightening with lift and enhancement and also tummy tuck surgery which will correct the problems and make you feel better.

Please tell her weight and change formula and feed it with a cup and spoon and not from bottle. If you keep feeding there should be sufficient milk, from 4 months you can start giving homemade semi solids like kitchri, dal mashed and banana mashed egg yolk mashed to paste like consistency. For regular advice on child rearing you ask me personally.

Is the taste of ice cream or a sip of hot coffee sometimes a painful experience for you? Does brushing or flossing make you wince occasionally? If so, you may have sensitive teeth.


 

Possible causes include:

  • Tooth decay (cavities)

  • Fractured teeth

  • Worn fillings

  • Gum disease

  • Worn tooth enamel

  • Exposed tooth root


 

In healthy teeth, a layer of enamel protects the crowns of your teeth—the part above the gum line. Under the gum line a layer called cementum protects the tooth root. Underneath both the enamel and the cementum is dentin. 

 

Dentin is less dense than enamel and cementum and contains microscopic tubules (small hollow tubes or canals). When dentin loses its protective covering of enamel or cementum these tubules allow heat and cold or acidic or sticky foods to reach the nerves and cells inside the tooth. Dentin may also be exposed when gums recede. The result can be hypersensitivity.


 

Sensitive teeth can be treated. The type of treatment will depend on what is causing the sensitivity. Your dentist may suggest one of a variety of treatments:

  • Desensitizing toothpaste. This contains compounds that help block transmission of sensation from the tooth surface to the nerve, and usually requires several applications before the sensitivity is reduced.

  • Fluoride gel. An in-office technique which strengthens tooth enamel and reduces the transmission of sensations.

  • A crown, inlay or bonding. These may be used to correct a flaw or decay that results in sensitivity.

  • Surgical gum graft. If gum tissue has been lost from the root, this will protect the root and reduce sensitivity.

  • Root canal. If sensitivity is severe and persistent and cannot be treated by other means, your dentist may recommend this treatment to eliminate the problem.

Proper oral hygiene is the key to preventing sensitive-tooth pain. Ask your dentist if you have any questions about your daily oral hygiene routine or concerns about tooth sensitivity.

This is good medicine and if you are bottle feeding you top it and give breast milk and other milk with a spoon only. Diarrhea will stop. Inform me directly after doing this.

You can cold sponge the forehead to lower temperature. Try to give small sips of ors (lacolytez) properly reconstituted every time baby vomits to prevent dehydration. Soft diet in small amounts. Antipyretic to decrease temp. Anti emetic to decrease vomiting.

Bronchitis is loose term used mostly for all type of cuogh.If you are realy having bronchitis then Montec lc will not work.

I am female 27 years old. Have a baby 20 days old. My nipples are very small. When I feed my baby milk does not comes out in normal flow, and it becomes red and sour after every time I feed my baby. Please advise.

I think you have inverted nipples. You should pull them out gently 20 to 30 times in the morning and evening. You can also try syringing which is taught by a pediatrician. For sore nipples apply your milk only which comes at the end of feeding.

no problem.but it won't be counted as two.only one dose.as it takes time to develop immunity on three different types of polio strains.thanks
