This is very important and most physicians do not test for insulin and glucose. Check your hemoglobin A1c, which measures blood sugar over the last 6 weeks. If it is greater than 5.5, you may have metabolic syndrome Eat a healthy diet. Eat a diet with a low glycemic load, high in fiber, and phytonutrient and omega-3 rich. It should be plant based, and you should consume plenty of good quality protein such as beans, nuts, seeds, and lean animal protein (ideally organic or grass fed). I have described specific diets that abide by these parameters in my book UltraMetabolism. Exercise. Enough said. Get good quality sleep. Sleep is essential for healing your body, maintaining balanced blood sugar, and your overall health. Use supplements to support healthy cholesterol particle size. These include: A multivitamin including at least 500 mcg of chromium, 2 mg of biotin, and 400 mg of lipoic acid. For most you will take 3 capsules twice a day. 1000 mg of omega-3 fats (EPA/DHA) twice a day. 2000 IU of vitamin D3 twice a day. 1200 mg of red rice yeast twice a day. 2-4 capsules of glucomannan 15 minutes before meals with a glass of water. Broad-range, balanced concentration of plant sterols. You will usually take 1 capsule with each meal. Consider using high dose niacin or vitamin B3. This can only be done with a doctor’s prescription. It is useful to help raise HDL cholesterol, lower LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, and increase particle size. Use low-dose statins ONLY if you have had heart disease or are a male with multiple risk factors, while carefully monitoring for muscle and liver damage. For the vast majority of people this approach is better than simply taking a cholesterol medication. To reduce your risk of heart disease you need to address metabolic syndrome, and that can ONLY be done effectively with a comprehensive diet and lifestyle approach like the one outlined above. Watch for what — until it is so bad you are eligible to take diabetes medication? What do you think of conventional medicine’s tendency to prescribe medications over dietary and lifestyle change for chronic health conditions?

If you cardiac tests all came out negative, it could be caused due to anxiety and stress. You may need medications for that but try these as a first resort. Tips to reduce anxiety and stress 1. Sleep well and regular. Irregular sleep can have some serious consequences. It affects both our physical health and also contributes to anxiety and stress. Anxiety as such also leads to disruptions in sleep. When feeling anxious, always try to get a full 7 to 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep and it can work wonders to improve your condition. 2. Always keep smiling. Take a quick break in between your hectic work to get some laughs with your friends. Laughter can reduce depression and anxiety and has proven benefits. 3. Tidy up your living space or workspace. Keep your things clean and clutter-free. That helps us think clear and thus reducing levels of anxiety. 4. Say thank you often. Expressing your thanks for something helps reduce anxiety. 5. Eat smart. Eating more of foods which are rich in vitamin b and omega-3 fatty acids and also healthy whole grain carbs. Vitamin b contributes to good mental health. While omega 3 fatty acids help with both depression and anxiety. Whole grain foods boost serotonin and helps us remain poised. Eating high-sugar content food and processed foods can increase levels of anxiety. 6. Learn to breathe well and relax. Short, shallow breaths arise when you are tensed. Yes, we can cause ourselves to freak out, but only for a certain amount of time. When something weighs heavily on your mind, or you believe something terrible is most definitely going to occur, commit to only creating that worry for 20 minutes. Think of all the possible outcomes of the scenario, figure out some game plans, and then quit thinking about it after 20 minutes go by. Have a friend call after the allotted time has passed to avoid the temptation of going over the time limit. Or schedule some of that playtime right afterward. 10. Plan for the future but do not worry about it. Make time tables and to-do lists so that you will not be worried about finishing stuff and so that you can increase your productivity. 11. Be positive. When you feel anxious, train your mind to think and feel positive and give reinforcement to yourself that you can handle any situation. This will significantly reduce your stress and anxiety symptoms. 12. Smell relaxing stuff. Go out to your garden. Smell a fresh rose. Take a deep breathe and allow the relaxation to course through your whole body. You can also use relaxing aroma therapy and use it indoors. 13. Go out and spend time with your friends and family. Spend time with your pets social support reduces anxiety and stress to such a great extent that it is almost always bearable. So next time you get on your nerves, go out with your friends, chat with them, watch a movie, spend some time watching the waves in the beach with your partner, talk to your siblings. In ayurveda, Hypertension is referred to as Rakta Capa Vriddhi and it sees the vitiation of vata and pitta doshas as the main cause. Mix 1 teaspoon of onion juice with an equal amount of honey. Take once a day for 1 week. Upon noticing improvement, continue for several more days. Take sarpgandha vati twice a day. Yogendra ras. Akik bhasm works very good in case of hypertension. Avoid salty diet. Oily food. Lower your stress. Do pranayama early morning.

I am 38 years old male with hypertension (on S-metoprolol, telmisartan); high LDL, Low HDL & High Triglycerides (on Tonact TG); Hypothyroidism (on Thyronorm 75); and IBS (on probiotics). I am 52 years old having hyper tension since last 4-5 years, I have under gobe angiography in 2013 in forties hospital new delhi, which has normal study. I was advised some precautionary treatment and continued. My BP is running average 136/84 mmhg with electronic instrument. I found it increased to 160/88 yesterday evening after my post meal walking.

Betacap TR contains Propranolol which is a non-selective beta blocker hence it does have some side effects in organs other than target organs. Side effects like increased heart rate, disturbances in blood pressure, fatigue, and dizziness can be seen with short term dosage but on long term consumption alopecia (hair loss) and abnormal vision can occur. Also since Propranolol can cross the blood brain barrier it can cause some neurological side effects like Insomnia, hallucinations, vivid dreams and nightmares. Stop this medicine and start homoepathic treatment which is safe and effective without side effects.

Smoking has deconditioned you. Your lungs have weakened and so poor oxygenation and thereby fatigue. Best option .quit.

This can happen due to several causes. Please try to identify remove them one by one. 1. Low Hb in blood. Get a test done and increase iron in diet. 2. Less intake of water. Take one glass every hour from waking till 8 pm 3. Take 2 glass nimbu paani every day. 4. Lack of Sleep. Sleep properly for 6-8 hours. 5. Lack of food. Since you are underweight maybe your diet is not proper. 6. Eat proper meals. Don't skip breakfast. Try out these things and your problems will be solved.

Take diet for hypothyroidism:- high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread, nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in b vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. Flax oil, selenium: tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: this amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce t3 and t4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid few foods in hypothroidism i. E. Caffeine products tea, coffee, tabcco, alcohol / wine, kale, broccoli, spinach, mustard green, cabbage, turnip, millet, cassava, linseeds, pine nuts, soy products as soy milk, tofu, soybeans, soy souce, also avoid stress. Take some relax during work. Proper follow up you can feel better and reduce weight also. And you can control cholesterol / hdl / ldl/t. G. And obesity by using following flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap, take. Green veg, whole grain foods, spicy foods, use garlic in foods daily. Cod liver oil. Low sugar foods, low calories foods. Change own life style. Do meditation, yoga, go walk daily in morning and evening, do any one physically activity daily i. E. Play any game, avoid fast foods, oily foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg, avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. These are helful also reduced obesity. Helo Dr. My age is 24 yrs. I am having trouble in my chest area. In the centre of chest I am having pain for last 2 -3 months. I am also having short breathe few times during this period. 1. For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, depression, physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3. Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4. Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Take small frequent meals (5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals. If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5. Take crocin advance one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day at the time of chest pain 10. If you have recurrent attack of chest pain check your bp, take ecg, x ray chest and consult physician for advice and treatment
