Hi I have thyroid. Tsh >150. I am using medicine's since 1 week. We are planning for kids. But we kept that on hold because of this problem. Doctor advised to wait for 6 weeks. Will this time enough to get my thyroid levels to normal? If not how long will it take?

lybrate-user, I have gone through your query and understand your concern regarding getting a conception. If hypothyroidism is there then conception is unlikely to occur and even if it occurs, the fetal development is not as desired and outcomes are bad. Therefore, primary need is to control hypothyroidism effectively. For that adequate dose of thyroxine has to be taken. Plus it is essential to maintain TSH below 2 mU/L for conception and also through out the pregnancy. Since you have started the treatment now, check the TSH levels after 6 to 8 weeks, if the level is higher than above mentioned, then dose of throxine has to be increased, again TSH needs to be checked after 6 to 8 weeks. It is necessary to achieve above mentioned level. Then only conception is possible if all other things are normal. If you have any query please do come back, I will be glad to guide. Thanks.

(as per ayurveda we should not boil honey) simmer 1 cup honey and 3 cup water together slowly. Allow 1 cup of the water to evaporate. Strain off the top surface, and put the remaining liquid into a stoneware crock or dark bottle. Put a towel over it so it can breathe, yet be free of dirt. Place in a cool place. You can add cinnamon, clove, or the juice of 2 lemons, if you like.

Hello, all the medications which you are using are not pregnancy safe. You must discuss with your cardiologist in detail prior to planning a conception to either switch you on pregnancy safe medication or if you can opt out of medication during pregnancy. Regards.

Yes you can use it during pregnancy. Even if it enters in the private parts it will not create any problem apart from slight irritation. It is safe.

It may be the effect of the pill and should stop in time. But in future avoid taking such pills. Its easy to take it but complications are numerous. Instead use condoms. For niw you may take homoeopathic medicine Arnica Montana 200 2 doses for 2 days.

I have chest tumor in nipple very hard. This is not pain but I have in very depression this about. What is treatment.

MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Kanpur
If you r of 19 years age then a nodule in breast most probably is gynecomastia. You may get a fnac done of that nodule to confirm the diagnosis. If it is indeed gynecomastia then no need to worry about although for cosmetic reasons it may be removed surgically.
