Dear Lybrate User, I should appreciate you for the fact you believe that diabetes can be controlled by lifestyle modifications. Yes that's true, though it's not irreversible. Good that you have concentrated on physical activity , do concentrate on your diet as well. Make flaxseed, drumstick leaves, curry leaves powder and sprinkle 30 gm daily on all the foods you consume throughout the day. Also sprinkle wheat bran and germ daily 30gm throughout on all foods you consume. Consume lot of leeks and lettuce smoothie which is high in fibre content. Also you can consume raw lady's finger water soaked overnight for your diabetes condition.

Dear lybrate-user, Welcome to Lybrate. Bidi and thambacu addiction also comes under abuse and addiction. If you’re ready to stop the substance and willing to get the support you need, you can recover from addiction and —no matter how bad the addiction or how powerless you feel. The first step in treating addiction is accepting that you have a problem. Confronting an addiction and accepting responsibility for your actions isn’t easy. But it’s a necessary step on the road to treatment and recovery. You should then consult a psychiatrist / psychologist who fill follow this treatment. 1. Detoxification using medicines. 2. Behavior modification with the help of therapies. 3. Counseling. 4. Medication to sustain and 5. Long term support. These given steps are essential for any addict to get effectively rid of addiction. Therefore, you need to stick to the treatment plan and cooperate with your psychiatrist / psychologist. Take care.

Dear, there will be little blurring of the immage. If the tumor is very small there is a chance of miss but gross things cannot be missed. Mri is usually done when there is a clear cut indication for it. So very less chance to miss.

high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Hello, the symptoms are s/o gastric reflux. In which the acid from stomach gets refluxed into lower oesophagus (food pipe, leading to burping and heartburn mimicking chest pain. You have to start a complete course of proton pump inhibitors i. E. Antacid. Eat bland foods, do not lie down immediately after meals. Drink plenty of water. Symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder, is it related to high blood pressure. Please explain.

Masters in Clinical Psychology
Psychologist, Lucknow
Symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder, is it related to high blood pressure.
Please explain.
Only a doctor can diagnose whether or not your high blood pressure is caused by anxiety or by a more serious health condition. Age, weight, gender, and family history all play a role. High blood pressure is rarely the only symptom of anxiety. Anxiety doesn't cause long-term high blood pressure (hypertension). But episodes of anxiety can cause dramatic, temporary spikes in your blood pressure. If those temporary spikes occur frequently, such as every day, they can cause damage to your blood vessels, heart and kidneys, as can chronic high blood pressure. In addition, when you have anxiety you're more likely to resort to other unhealthy habits that can increase your blood pressure, such as: smoking drinking alcoholic beverages overeating.

I am suffering from ring worm since a month. itching heavily below chest and thigh please suggest best medicine.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
I am suffering from ring worm since a month. itching heavily below chest and thigh please suggest best medicine.
Hello, ringworm is caused by a fungus that grows on the skin. Once the fungus is established, it spreads out in rings. The centre of the ring may clear up, while a new ring of infection develops at the edge of the old ring. Fungi are microscopic organisms that can live off the dead tissues of your skin, hair, and nails, much like a mushroom can grow on the bark of a tree. Medication: take schwabe's tellurium 30/ thrice daily for 2 weeks. Management: good personal hygiene helps prevent the spread of ringworm. Teach your child to practice good hygiene and generally not to share combs, brushes, or hats. Children also shouldn't share towels, clothes, or sports equipment that haven't been properly cleaned. Avoid wearing any wet clothes, prefer cotton clothes, keep the area dry and clean. Never use others towels or clothes as well as don't share yours with others. Ringworm can also be transmitted from an infected dog or cat, so avoid animals who look mangy or have bald spots in their coats. If you have an animal that you think may have ringworm, take it to the vet for treatment.

Little vibration are generally twitching of muscles. Not to worry. If pain is more intense and lasts longer than 10 minutes than definitely you need to work out the cause as you are diabetic. It is good that you are doing regular exercise.
