Time is the best healer from Bell’s palsy. More is the damage caused to facial nerve before starting treatment, more is the time needed for recovery. All other therapies are supportive and not curative. Try consulting Physiotherapiest and doing exercises on your own at home. It’s going to take time. Don’t be restless.

I am having a minor seizure and I am taking medicine named valparin Chrono 200 and also my final exam s are going but my mind doesn't likes to study and my interest for study is decreasing is this due to valparin Chrono 200?

DNB (Neurosurgery) , MBBS
Neurosurgeon, Pune
Valuation does not have that action but stress due to examination can have that action. Also patients suffering from neurological issues are known to have stress which can reduce attention span and concentration abilities. Try practising techniques like yoga and pranayama etc. It might help you to regain the concentration needed for studies.

I am suffering from Bell's palsy (right side of face) since 3 months. I took medication and recovered almost 95% but now whenever I get tired I feel heaviness on left side of face since I got Bell's palsy on right side of face. Please Doctor help me.

It’s due to weakness in the nerve which creates feeling of heaviness and fatigue in facial muscles. Gradually it will subside. Too much attention towards the involved face can increase the feeling of heaviness so don’t worry and continue with your facial muscles exercises.

Can libotryp cause seizures. I use libotryp for 6 months and I have seizures 1 month ago. Is it due to libotryp?

DNB (Neurosurgery) , MBBS
Neurosurgeon, Pune
Libotryp can not cause seizures. In case a patient already has tendency to develop seizures or epilepsy, the one episode of seizure while you were taking libotryp can be just a coincidence.

Can I be cured of epileptic fits? Actually it comes not by birth but before 8 years when I got fever my mom took me to one R.M.P clinic doctor he didn't given me antinode but another medicine then I got reaction then epilepsy came then I shown in hospital and im in medication after 3 years I neglected tablets which were given by physician then again it comes now (WHEN IT COMES IT WILL COME ON LIPS SHAKING I will be in conscious only lips shakes that's it) I'm using time to time now nothing I'm free I'm in medication I'm using eptoin 100 mg morning flouvite 5 mg afternoon in night eptoin 150 mg frisium 10 mg Can I be cured of epileptic fits? (Seizure) and Any problem in Future about this Epilepsy?

DNB (Neurosurgery) , MBBS
Neurosurgeon, Pune
When epilepsy is uncontrolled inspite of taking adequate and appropriate medications, there are surgical treatments available to deal with it effectively. It is called as epilepsy surgery. When a part of brain which is responsible to producing fits can be recognised well on Mri as well as electrophysiological investigations, it can safely be removed using surgical means and at times epilepsy can be cured. But only after taking into consideration whole of the clinical scenario, one can tell whether a patient can be cured from epilepsy or better control can be achieved. You need to consult an epileptologist to know more about these options. Regards.

Hi, My Wife age is 32 (about to 33) and she has migraine from last 4-5 years but from last 6 month it got very severe and from last few months it got worst. It has to get drip almost daily (3-4 days in a week) to get relief. We met doctor Reddy in MAX Saket, Dr. at GB Pant and currently Dr. (sits at Max Shalimar Bagh). She takes Rizack 10 mg when pain is around 40% but it does not effect. Kindly suggest the best ASAP. She is in very severe pain. Thank you.

DNB (Neurosurgery) , MBBS
Neurosurgeon, Pune
Migraine is a disorder which is tagged to a specific personality. Type A personality people who are anxious, extremely punctual and often get stressed up very fast are the usual victims for migraine. Only medicine won't help to get rid of the problem. Patient needs to follow ideal healthy lifestyle and day night schedule as well there should be good efforts aimed at stress relief, either physical Shree or mental stress. Trust me migraine gets cured but only after you take away it's trigger factors. Regards Manish sabnis.
