I use Gogol also.
Red eye has many causes. You have to see if it is associated with blurring of vision, pain, discharge and other complaints. But commonly it's allergic or infective in origin ie allergic or infective conjunctivitis. Which has simple treatment protocol. But still its wise to opt for a check up with an ophthalmologist for a thorough slit lamp examination to rule out other differentials for acute red eye.

For fever take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and Eat nutritious food and have adequate fluid intake and take physical rest and if necessary Get your blood checked for cbc, mp , widal , sgpt and urine r/m and revert back to us with reports

Hello lybrate-user. Burning of eyes in the evening /night time could be due to allergy of eyes. During the course of the day, we tend to expose the eyes to a lot of dust, pollution, sunlight, etc. Additionally, we tend to rub the eyes with fingers, clothes, handkerchief, etc. All this cumulatively causes a lot of eye allergy and tends to cause burning and irritation. The proper way to get rid of your problems would be to maintain eye hygiene. Wash your eye with clean hands and clean water daily at least 3-4 times. Avoid rubbing your eyes with fingers or handkerchief or clothes. Use a lubricant eye drops 4 times a day. In case the problem persists, it would be a better idea to have a look at your eyes in person.. Hope my suggestions helped you. Take care. Regards. Dr. Chaitanya.

Obviously laser treatment, yes it is reliable provided it is latest technology, there are lots of centers with older technology doing at cheaper rates so please see technology and not the rates.

Lasik is a simple laser procedure which changes the shape of the cornea so that the light rays fall on the retina properly. It is a painless procedure. It is a day care procedure does not require any injections, does not require admission, you can simply resume your duties in 2 days. Cost varies from centre to centre. Side effects are usually limited to dryness of eyes for few months. We can do lasik anytime after age of 18 years. You need to undergo proper prelasik checkup to decide whether lasik is safe for you or not

The solution for this problem is its reduced usage and while using computor use in proper light. There is nothing more effective than controlling usage to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the computor screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Hi apply ketoconazole lotion on your scalp...Apply maha bhringraj oil on your scalp and massage then give hot water fomentation..1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep....take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day...take lots of proteins like soyabean...egg white.....etc...avoid tea...coffee...spicy food...fermented food...junk food....apply only ayurvedic shampoo on your scalp....do pranayama early morning......

There is no any scale for measurement of max. And minimum time for exposure of eyes to tv/mobile but taking precautions while using them is the best way to avoid and nullify the effects of strong lights. Increase in screen brightness of mobile or laptop could definitely strain the eyes ------------------------------------if you work on a computer, taking eye breaks for five minutes every hour can lessen the strain on your eyes. Simply closing your eyes for a few moments can also do wonders. Try standing up, moving around, or taking a short walk to help regain concentration. Regular eye exercises that involve focusing on different distances can help prevent future straining. Blink often. Blinking refreshes and replenishes your eyes naturally. While watching tv/mobile make sure that the lightening in room is proper and you are at least at a distance of 10 feet from tv to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the tv/mobile screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. If you are having trouble with blinking due to the dryness of your eyes, try using homoeopathic cinelube eyedrops (hapdco) 3 times daily.

More specifically, lutein is also found in your macular pigment – known for helping to protect your central vision and aid in blue light absorption—and zeaxanthin is found in your retina.Estimated daily dose of lutein is 10 mg per day, and at 2 mg/day for zeaxanthin. Both lutein and zeaxanthin are primarily found in green leafy vegetables, although zeaxanthin is far scarcer than lutein. Kale and spinach are two of the most lutein-rich foods, but you'll also find it in carrots, squash, and other orange and yellow fruits and vegetables. Both lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids called xanthophylls, which give plants and vegetables their yellow-orange color, and the name "lutein" comes from the Latin word "luteus," which means "yellow." first you need to get your eyes tested for any glass power wear protective glasses while you r travelling to avoid dust and dirt entering the eyes.. more importantly put on helmet with wisor ( front glass covering)

There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 18 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

No. If you having +8 number. You. Cannot undergo lasik surgery. Lasik surgery is not recommended for more than+5.

Go for a complete examination and diagnosis. In initial stages and in mild squints of a perticular type can b corrected by orthoptic exercises and prisms and spectacles. However the final treatment modality depends upon the type and amount of squint you hav.

  • Does not involve light-emission: The backlit electronic devices, strain your eyes, causing redness, irritation and watering. Most doctors advise that exposure to light during the evening, especially from artificial sources should be minimal. On the other hand, books do not emit any harmful rays, making it the obvious choice if you want to take good care of your eyes.
  • Do not hamper body clock: Our system has a tendency to adapt itself to the rhythm of life by responding to the surrounding light. However, the blue light in reading devices disrupt the release of melatonin or the sleep hormone, causing inadequate, less deep sleep, and fatigue and irritation the following morning. Thus, not giving enough time to your eyes and body for revitalizing. On the other hand, studies have shown that people reading books sleep better and timelier than those reading on devices.
  • Proximity to device not required: The admonition of not sitting too close to the television's screen glare is nullified by reading devices where a certain level of proximity is required for comfortable reading, which harms our eyes. But paperbacks do not have any such risk involved as there is no glare that would affect our eyes.
  • Does not induce disrupted winking: Electronic devices often trigger a tendency to not blink and stare at the screen constantly for longer than advisable. That does not give the lenses in your eyes the momentary rest that the eyes require in order to replenish themselves.

Exercises to improve eye health:

There are many common measures people take to improve their eyesight or improve their vision. These include wearing glasses, lenses, sunglasses and many such measures. Here are some effective exercises which prove to be highly beneficial in increasing your eye health:

  1. Stretching: This is the most common and also one of the easiest to do. It requires you to just look up, hold for two seconds, look down, hold for two seconds, then repeat this procedure for each corner of your eye, which means top-left, top-right, bottom-left and bottom-right corners.
  2. Flexing: This is simply rotating your eyes in circles. Roll your eyes in the clockwise direction for one minute and then roll your eyes in the anticlockwise direction for one minute.
  3. Focus switching: This particular eye exercise is used for accommodation and is probably the most useful one. In this eye exercise, you have to hold something at a reading distance and cover the other eye. You then have to find something that is at least twenty feet away and trace its shape with one eye closed. With one eye closed, trace more shapes which are twenty feet away and this may improve your eyesight.
  4. Palming: This exercise is also very simple to perform. All you have to do is cover your eyes with your palms. Once you have done this, just wait and see that there are no bright flashes of light. If you see that there is a bright flash of light, just wait till they go. This is used primarily to destress the eyes.
  5. Deep blinking: This is also an incredibly useful exercise for distance vision. All you have to do is to place some large letters at a fair distance and then sit on a chair. You have to then close your eyes and tighten all your muscles for 5 seconds. After the gap of 5 seconds, open your eyes and see the letters for a second or two. The more time you do this the more clearly you will be able to see the letters after reopening your eyes.

Finally, a warning has to be given that these eye treatments are not universally accepted by all doctors.
