What are the causes of high blood pressure? And what are the effects of it in our body?
Dear lybrate-user, high blood pressure is many times a symptom of underlying disease. You can visualize heart as a pump which is pumping blood (viscous liquid) across the body. It supplies the brain where it pumps against gravity. Similarly it also receives the blood from the legs which is again against gravity. In this closed circulation the blood vessels allow the gases like oxygen and carbondioxide and some liquid to pass through the membrane along with nutrients and waste products to and from various tissues. Blood pressure increases 1. The heart has to pump with higher intensity due to a blockage which restricts the blood supply to a critical organ including the brain and heart. 2. Blood vessels become narrow due to constriction or fat and calcified plaques deposited. 3. Certain hormones (chemicals) secreted by the kidneys and other organs cause the blood vessels to contract. 4. Stress which releases enzymes that increase blood pressure. 5. Electrolytes like sodium levels increase the osmotic pressure thereby increasing the volume of blood and thus blood pressure. It is mainly due to an underline endocrine disease. Considering these five points we need to investigate understand and try to address the cause by symptomatically managing the blood pressure. High blood pressure has multiple effects on to the body especially on small blood vessels which can burst (bleed) in brain, eyes and other organs. It also increases the risk of pushing a clot into the brain as well as damaging the blood vessel itself. The cholesterol and other lipids which circulate in the blood get pushed towards the walls of the vessel due to high blood pressure thereby increasing the risk of atherosclerosis. In short high blood pressure is a serious entity needs to be addressed objectively.

Dear, These are the causes of pimples: excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland). Due to hormonal imbalance. These are the methods & instructions to avoid pimples: To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. * Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin. * Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day. Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. use a mild moisturiser for your skin.

Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days. Also, use Bakson’s Apricot scrub 1-2times a week on the area.

What should i do if I m having fever?
? Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defenses against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures..Also, the body's defense mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature ? Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatment The following medications may be used at home for mild to moderate fever : ? Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children or adolescents or during a viral illness. ? An individual with a fever should be kept comfortable and not overdressed. Overdressing can cause the temperature to rise further.wear loose fitting clothes. ? Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths are a home remedy that may help bring down a fever ? The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. ? A fever can cause anyone to become very dehydrated. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami,Amla juice etc. ? Wash your hands frequently every day with soap and warm water for 15-20 seconds; especially before meals, or each time after you have returned from a public place or used public transport. ? Further therapy depends on the cause of the fever and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

Switch Up Shampoos You find that one shampoo?that one anti-dandruff shampoo that finally works. Deep down, you know it?s the shampoo for you. Then, without any warning, it just?quits on you. The dandruff starts coming back, and it?s time to realize that you have to move on if you want to shake the flake. This isn?t uncommon-people often build up a tolerance to a shampoo and its active ingredient. If yours stops working abruptly this may be the case, so switch as soon as you can. To keep this from happening, switch up what you?re using every month or so. Find 3 different kinds of anti-dandruff shampoo, each with a different formulation, and rotate them to prevent them from becoming ineffective. Treat Your Scalp To Neem Leaves Neem leaves (also an Indian herb) make a great all-natural home remedy for your dandruff. Their properties not only relieve itching, they act as an antifungal as well, inhibiting the over-growth of dandruff causing fungus. Be aware that some people find its smell to be overwhelming. You will need? -At least 2 handfuls of neem leaves -4-5 cups of hot water Directions Add two handfuls of neem leaves to 4 or 5 cups of hot water. Let it stand overnight. The next morning strain the liquid and use it to rinse your hair. You can also try making a paste out of leaves, applying it to your scalp, and letting it sit for about an hour before washing it off with water. Veggies: Green leafy vegetables in particular impact how our skin behaves. It encourages healthy hair, skin, and nail growth, so shoot for stuff like broccoli, kale, and lettuce (NOT iceberg) to add to your diet. Fish Oils: Fish oil can make a difference in the overall make-up of your skin. Taking fish oil supplements will not cure your dandruff, but it can help lessen its severity and/or prevent it. Lean Proteins: To minimize dandruff, try eating more lean proteins. They help to build hair and skin and keep it coming in healthy. Aim for fish and non-meat proteins, such as eggs, nuts, and beans.

I understand your difficulty in this situation. There are 2 things that you can do: 1. The problem that your wife seems to be experiencing most often leads to arguments and fights within couples. It is often the case that each person feels that the other is largely responsible and doesn't want help for themselves. Your wife's stand is completely understandable. You can seek professional help for the couple as a marital unit, rather than just your wife. That approach will make her more forthcoming, since it'll ensure that the spotlight will not rest on just her. Also, it puts down a healthy initiation for therapy, since she will get to see that you want mutual happiness, without solely blaming her or her behaviour for the problems. 2. You can use technology, with apps like lybrate ensuring that your wife doesn't need to leave the comfort of her home to meet a psychiatrist. Both of you could have an online consult. That would definitely lower her reluctance to visit a psychiatrist.
