Try variety of foods as by this age increasing the variety the appetite/palatability improves.Add ghee generously if tolerated to increase the calorie value of diet.In compare to protein and carbohydrate calorie value of fat is thrice.
Give at least one katori serving at a time of- mashed roti/bread/biscuit mixed in sweetened undiluted milk or mashed roti/rice/bread/dosa mixed with thick dal with added ghee/oil or khichadi with added ghee.Add cooked vegetables in the servings. You can also give dalia/suji ka halwa/kheer prepared in milk or any cereal porridge cooked in milk. You can give mashed boiled potato also.
Give banana, papaya, cheeko, mango to meet the vitamin's requirement.

My son is 4 months old and I feel m a terrible mother bcoz I get frustrated sometimes with his constant crying n feeding distractions. I think I shud give him to his grandmother (Nani) who lives in different state. She loves him so so much and has told me so many times to focus on my career n leave the child to her place. But at the same time I am overwhelmed with so much guilt. And I love my son so much. But all I am doing is for him. And I cannot trust any other person for childcare other than his grandmother. What should I do. Please help.

You are going through a usual cycle of guilt and love that all mothers go through. Take it easy on yrslf. Be surrounded by loved ones and talk to them. You can get back to your work n career without guilt. Call your mother over for sometime till you learn to balance work n home. Don’t expect too much from yralf and set your priorities. Non of us are super humans to be able to balance work and family with ease. It always will take efforts and be prepared for it. Remember though grandparents can love the child unconditionally they cannot substitute the child’s own parents. Take the day as it comes n enjoy his childhood. Take time out for yralf n go out with years friends. A happy mom is all a child needs.

Hello doctor, My 15 months old son is having red patches on his face. My pd suggested me to use eumosone cream for 5 days. They got cured after I have used that for 5 days but again now they are starting on his face. Is it safe to use eumosone repeatedly? Thank you in advance.

Hello doctor,
My 15 months old son is having red patches on his face. My pd suggested me to use eumosone cream for 5 ...
Red patches may be allergy or infection, Eumosome is a steroid which is the treatment required in the case of allergies, if repeated allergies occur it has to be applied again. I suggest you to visit a Pediatric Dermatologist for expert opinion. And I suggest you to stop kissing the baby on cheeks.

It is difficult to tell how much this lotion is useful for the condition! I suppose whole body skin is not dry. If it is so consult either pediatrician or skin specialist. Otherwise you may use white petroleum jelly ie vasiline.

Sir, I have a 8 years old son studying in grade 2, he is very impulsive, never sit and concentrate, never obey and listen, very destructive, sometimes hits back on us. He enjoy the repetitive task from where we stop. Please give me your kind suggestion.

Dear lybrate-user this is an issue with behavioural aspects There are specialists called child psychologist or counsellors These are not psychiatrists You need to consult them It is easier to mould the child at this stage rather than later.
