Hi, I have hair fall problem which is increasing with each passing day. Even dandruff is too much. I am from North India and I didn't faced this much hair loss, though I started having hair fall when I went for college. I am in Bangalore from 4 years and I almost lost half of my hair. With previous illness and treatment it increased exponentially I guess, though couldn't claim that to be only reason Do suggest something for fighting with hair fall as well as dandruff.

1) Use Natural oils such as coconut, almond etc. to massage gently the scalp for countering hair fall. 2) Have more proteins and trace minerals in diet. 3) Start taking Ayurvedic hair nutrition supplement. 4) Keep stress away & take proper 8 hr calm sleep 5) Get the underlying scalp condition like dandruff treated. 6) Start 2 spoon cow ghee with milk - empty stomach; will provide you essential nutrition. 7) Use soft water to wash your hairs.(alternate day is limit) 8) DO regular exercise, yoga, meditation. 9) keep your body cool & calm to avoid hairfall

1. Go for regular exercise like brisk walking for 30 minutes daily, 2. Reduce weight if you are over weight 3. Take adequate rest and have 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night 4. Avoid stress 5. Avoid dietary sugar like bread, pasta, use healthy fats like olive oil 6. Take zinc containing food like milk, meat, fish, cheese, beans, yogurt etc 7. Take vitamin d supplement (1000-2000mg daily). 8. Take plenty of green leafy vegetables, cauliflower, spinach, bean, mushroom, onion, garlic, fruits, diet rich in mono unsaturated fat& eomega 3 fatty acid (walnut, almond, flax seed/flax seed oil, soybean/soy milk/ oil), egg, fish, fish oil, sardines, salmon, dark chocolate, carrots, oats, blue berries/ banana/pomegranate/cereals, 9. Drink plenty of water, pomegranate juice, green tea 2-3 cups /day without sugar/ milk (green tea contains anti oxidant like flavonoid and helps in improving sperm quality, but in high doses may affect sperm quality) 10. Avoid smoking, alcohol consumption 11. Take one capsule of zevit daily, 12. If required you have to take injection testosterone after checking blood testosterone level and consulting doctor 13. Drinking pomegranate juice can increase sperm count, healthier sperms, sperm concentration, helps in erectile dysfunction, sperm conentration/motility/ density and reduce abnormal sperms.

Follow the following tips :- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal. · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. If you do not like milk have 1-2 egg whites in the morning along with your breakfast. · You need to focus on your protein intake: Increase your protein intake e.g. Milk, dairy products- cheese, paneer, lentils (dals), nuts (soya, peanuts, dry fruits ), pulses e.g. Rajma, chole, kidney beans etc. Sprouts. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have proteins by also eating eggs, chicken, fish. Make sure you are including at least 2 serving of any of these in your daily meal. · Lunch and dinner again should be a combination of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats which could have dal, roti, sabji/chicken, salad. · Please do have minimum 4 almonds or a small bowl of peanuts every day. · Please ensure that you drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

1. Boil two green tea bags in one-half cup of water for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and cool them in the refrigerator for half an hour. Put the cold tea bags over your eyes for about 15 minutes. Follow this remedy twice daily for at least 10 days. 2. Lightly massage five or six drops of almond oil into the delicate skin under the eyes before going to bed. Leave it on overnight and wash it off with cold water the next morning. Follow this remedy daily until the dark circles disappear almost entirely.

Ayurvedic Home Remedies For Dengue Fever

Dengue as Dandaka Jwara is found in the Parishishta Chapter of Madhava Nidana It has been described that a particular species of mosquito is the basic cause of spread of fever called Dandaka jvara. This fever mostly subsides within a week, however, it is said to be more dangerous for the children and old people.

Premonitory symptoms

Feeling of breaking of bones, weakness, dyspepsia, tastelessness of food is the premonitory symptoms of Dandaka Jwara.

Symptoms

Severe breaking pain in bone and joints as if someone has been beaten by stick. Reddish or purpuric rashes on the body, fleeting/shifting joint pain associated with swelling may occur. High temperature of 103 to 105 degrees F. may occur which gets subsided and may relapse again within three to four days.

Management

Although there is no specific treatment for disease, Ayurveda stresses to strengthen immune system of the body and keeping a control on hyperthermia. Amrita (Guduchi) Tulasi (Holi basil) Shunthi (Dried ginger) Papaya are the commonly available medicinal plants and used to prevent its complications by potentiating immune system so that disease gets controlled within a period of 4to 8 days.

Diet during Dandaka jvara

Rice gruel (Kanji), Rice porridge (khichari) cooked with ginger and lemon is useful. Tea prepared with Tulasi, Ginger and cardamom may be taken at two hourly intervals. Spicy and Oily food should be strictly avoided.

AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR DANDAKA JWARA

  • Leaves of coriander should be taken to reduce  fever.
  • Eatables rich in Vitamin C, especially Amla should be consumed as it helps in absorption of Iron.
  • Chyavanprash can be taken as an immune booster.
  • Punarnava (Borhavia diffusa) Is a herb which helps in flushing out toxins through perspiration.
  • Amrithotharam kashayam, Amritha satva (Sat giloy) are some of the good herbal medicines advised in Dengue fever.
  • Boil tulasi in water and drink this water throughout the day to build up immune system.
  • 10-15 basil leaves should be chewed twice a day, to strengthen body’s defence mechanism.
  • Dataram is an Ayurvedic herb which has potency to reduce seriousness of dengue fever, but should be strictly taken after consulting Ayurvedic physician.
  • Fenugreek leaves can be taken as herbal tea to reduce fever.
  • Pomegranate /black grape juice can be taken to increase blood count.
