These are causes of dark circles: • Due to low Hb (Anaemia) • Stress • Due to lack of sleep • Due to excessive consumption of caffeine • Due to lack of proper diet or malnutrition Follow these methods & instructions to clear dark circles: • Take 6 to 8 hrs sleep regularly. • Drink 8 glass of water daily. • Apply piece of cucumber on your both eyes. That has bleaching property. • Apply almond oil or you can apply capsule of vitamin E mix it in mosturiser or cream you have daily around the eye in night and massage it lightly daily. • Take a piece of potato and make it's juice by crush it apply its juice for 15 min daily. • Apply rose water daily for 10 min daily. • Take 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric (haldi) with one teaspoon of besan mix it with water and make paste apply it around eyes for 10 minutes and make it dry remove it. • Eat green leafy vegetables daily and fruits daily. Drink a glass of milk daily. • Do not take stress do long breathing pranayams daily for 10 minutes.

Hi Stomach pain can be for a short period of time, come and go, or may be only after you eat or it could be an indication to other underlying problem like Gallstones or peptic ulcer. The reason could be as simple as gastritis/ gas/ bloating or as serious as inflammation of pancreas. The reason for persistent problem of stomach pain are generally narrowed down by a number of investigations by a doctor. Since the exact reasons of your stomach pain is unknown, it would give you some normal suggestions: 1. Eat light (easily digestible) and healthy food. Try to include more fibre in your food and avoid junk/ spicy/fried/oily foods. 2. Alcohol and smoking also causes gastritis which in turn causes stomach ache/ and gastritis, please avoid or moderate them. 3. Try to eat homemade food most of the time. Include vegetables, seasonal fruits, and complex carbs like Dalia, oats and whole wheat bread. 4. Eat frequent and small meals if possible. 5. Try to eat all your meals on time. Do not give a long gap between your meals which might result in flatulence. 6. Take a light and early dinner preferable 2-3 hours before sleeping. Medications for light stomach pain - Take 1.Tablet Meftal-Spas one tablet stat after food as and when required. 2. Tablet Pantaprazole 40 mg one hour before the breakfast daily for 5 days. I have very lose stool every morning. So what should I do?

Passing only single loose stool in morning is not problem. Everyone had his own body system and a different consistency of stools. If you are passing loose stools repeatedly during the day or there is blood or mucus in it or there is pain abdomen then it needs to be treated. You can try tablet sporlac ds twice a day for one month. It will normalise gut flora. Take curd. Avoid milk.

Always used Indus valley dandurf shampoo . It contains alovera also. Its ph level is 5.5. It helps to remove danduruf, itch, and dryness at sourse it increase scalp’s natural resistance and strength hair from root to top and hair become soft and silky. Avoid cosmetic shampoos. Coconuts oil also apply on hair. Eat green veg, dry fruits, vit. B 12, vit. C fruits. Avoid stress. Do checkup testosterone, thyroid profile. Vit. B 12, vit. A, minerals. Vit. E, and consult.

The drugs being taken are definitely good ones. But what is important is how well your blood glucose is controlled. Well controlled diabetes should have fasting glucose closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg / 100 ml & hba1c% <6.8. If you maintain these level then long term complications can be prevented or postponed. As regards specific diet plan I need to know all the above details plus present dietary intake and extent of exercise being done daily. However, following few guidelines can be adhered to - avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries and other bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks, fructose corn syrup containing products, highly processed food products and high fat milk products. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (about 100 g a day). Always use whole grain products and whole grain flour. Avoid maida and foods made out of it. Refrain from alcohol and smoking.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3months. Revert. For height: Hi. As height can be gained till 21yrs. Of age in males and 18yrs. In females, so you do have 5yrs. More to grow further! Start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - Bakson's Hite-Aid and Five Phos. - both thrice daily and Thuja 1M/ one dose once a week - take them for 4 months. Management: Take milk and milk products which contains more calcium. More of protein (for cell multiplication) like pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts, flaxseeds, non-veg, eggs, etc. Also, don't forget to take green vegetables, yellow veggies and fruits, seasonal fruits, salads, etc. Do skip rope daily, initially 10-20 times later gradually and slowly increase the frequency as per your capacity. Do get indulge in stretch exercises, and sports like basketball, volleyball. Last but not least, do take enough of rest and sleep (which helps in repairing of cells and cell rejuvenation). Get back to me after 4 months for further guidance. All the Best!

Hi lybrate-user, to lose weight you need to follow these (1) don't eat sugar and sugar sweetened juice like fruit juice, health drink, coffee, soft drinks etc because these increases belly fat and liver fat which leads to insulin resistance and host of metabolic problems. Instead of that eat whole fruits which are fiber rich and mitigate the negative effect of fructose. (2) include more protein in your diet to reduce fat as well as it will avoid re-gaining weight. Include protein like fish, egg, lean chicken, mushroom, cottage cheese, seafood, dairy products etc. Along with physical exercise you can use whey protein. This is a healthy and convenient way to boost your total intake. (3) take low carb foods like whole grain, brown rice, wheat, brown bread etc. (4) eat more fruits and vegetables as these are high in fiber which helps to reduce weight. (5) take healthy fat like refined oil, fish oil like sardine, olive oil etc (6) regular exercise like swimming, skipping, yoga, push ups, sit ups etc. (7) plenty of water about 3 lit/day. (8) quality sleep and stress free life.

Cushing's Syndrome - Causes and Symptoms

Cushing’s syndrome occurs due to abnormally high levels of the hormone cortisol. This can happen for a variety of reasons. The most common cause is overuse of corticosteroid medications.

Causes:

Your adrenal glands produce cortisol. It helps with a number of your body’s functions, including:

  1. regulating blood pressure and the cardiovascular system

  2. reducing the immune system’s inflammatory response

  3. converting carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into energy

  4. balancing the effects of insulin

  5. responding to stress

Your body may produce high levels of cortisol for a variety of reasons, including:

  1. high stress levels, including stress related to an acute illness, surgery, injury, or pregnancy, especially in the final trimester

  2. athletic training

  3. malnutrition

  4. alcoholism

  5. depression, panic disorders, or high levels of emotional stress

The most common cause of Cushing’s syndrome is the use of corticosteroid medications, such as prednisone, in high doses for a long period. High doses of injectable steroids for treatment of back pain can also cause this syndrome.

Other causes include:

  1. a pituitary gland tumor in which the pituitary gland releases too much adrenocorticotropic hormone, which is also known as Cushing’s disease

  2. ectopic ACTH syndrome, which causes tumors that usually occur in the lung, pancreas, thyroid, or thymus gland

  3. an adrenal gland abnormality or tumor

Symptoms of Cushing’s Syndrome:

The most common symptoms of this condition are:

  • weight gain
  • obesity
  • fatty deposits, especially in the midsection, the face and between the shoulders and the upper back (causing a buffalo hump)
  • purple stretch marks on the breasts, arms, abdomen, and thighs
  • thinning skin that bruises easily
  • skin injuries that are slow to heal
  • acne
  • fatigue
  • muscle weakness
  • increased thirst
  • increased urination
  • bone loss
  • depression
  • an increased incidence of infections

Women may also notice extra facial and body hair, as well as absent or irregular menstruation.

Men may also have:

  • erectile dysfunction
  • a loss of sexual interest
  • decreased fertility

When you are trying to gain weight, you should eat food the rich in vitamins and minerals. 1. Healthy food includes meat, egg, milk, fruit vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Cashews, almonds, dates, walnuts, dry grapes, apricots, peaches are some of the dried fruits and nuts that can be added to breakfast, salads, cereal and desserts. Sesame seeds, ground nuts, and peanuts also contain fats in them and can help in adding that extra pounds you desire. 2. Sometimes loss of appetite may also cause weight loss. So you should take following remedies improving weight a]triphala kadha 4tsp before lunch and dinner b]amala juice 4 tsp + sugar 2 tsp+ honey 2 tsp empty stomach in the morning umami flavor increases satiety and enhances appetite. You r a victim of acne vulgaris and it's sequelae like most people your age. It's a very common problem with a lot of solutions. These acne pimples if broken leave really dark marks. So steer clear from them. Don't pick at them. Avoid cosmetics and over the counter face products. Overwashing won't remove pimples or spots. You need to use cold water and wash face with a salicylic acid containing wash twice a day and not more. It vil help reduce the oiliness to a large degree. Avoid milk and milk products, you can have them occasionally. Instead, you can have tea or coffee. Do not stress over your problem its treatable. Stress vil only increase chances of more pimples. Exercise. You can practice meditation, it vil take your mind of your problem and create all the right chemicals in you. Have fruits with a high vitamin a content (such as broccoli, papaya, spinach and carrots) as this helps to flush acne-causing proteins from the system, and with high vitamin e and c contents (oranges, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, avocados) which have antioxidant effects and help to calm the skin. Have adequate amount of water. Include nuts like almond, walnuts. Avoid milk and milk products like butter, cheese as well as refined flour items and sugary drinks.
