Sir my baby (2 month) is still unable to hold and control his neck movement wht should I do.

Sir my baby (2 month) is still unable to hold and control his neck movement wht should I do.
Hello lybrate-user, its too early for your baby to have complete control of his/her neck. Neck holding usually is seen by 3 months of age and there may be still some head wobbling with complete control by 4 months. So do not worry às its completely normal and do support your baby's head while holding upright. Hope that helps.

The leg-to-body (LTB) ratio often is used to assess nutritional health and development, especially in children. It can be his body ratio and for details he needs to be checked up.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Giving Thyronorm 50 mcg just once is not going to cause any harm. But if one gives that repeatedly for more number of days, then can cause symptoms of excess thyroxine. Anyway, if you have realised the mistake and stopped it, then there is no need to worry. Thanks.

Dear sir/madam In the beginning, I must give Lybrate doctors a lot of thanks for giving medical advices earlier. I have a 5.5 months old baby now. He weighs 6.5 kgs .my wife can't feed him breast milk sufficiently. So my son cries. Please suggest what to do? Can I use hairloss or cerelac? Or biscuits with milk? Or homemade fruit purees? Or rice dal ?here our local pediatricians do not suggest food habit broadly. Please give a complete food list for a 5.5 months baby.

MD - Paediatrics
Pediatrician, Zirakpur
You can start with complementary foods like dal mashed potatoes mashed bananas curd kheer suji halva. U need to give 3 to 5 times wheat/ rice / cereals in any form like churi mashed rice kheer parantha stuffed and mashed halva atta or suji etc and 2 times snacks which may include fruits and vegetables mashed. Extra you can give water in drinking no juices with preservatives. Cerelac you can use but home made food best.

Hi, I have a newborn baby boy who is 18 days old. My wife is not breast feeding him, she says that the child remains hungry with her provided feed. Hence, she has been feeding him with some powder milk product. The kid takes the preparation and vomits it for once or twice a day and on his tongue white residues remain. Please advice me what is to be done and how can I clean the residue on the tongue and prevent the vomiting, do I have any other substitutes. Rest there are no issues. Thanks Pawan Soni.

Encourage your wife for exclusive breast feeding till 6 months of age. Nature has provided enough milk in breast for bay. White is not residues of milk. Probably it may be fungal infection most likely due to bottle feeding, do not try to remove residues.

My daughter is 10 years old and she has flat foot problem what should I do can you please suggest me

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes of flatfoot, so it can be idiopathic or it can be secondary to an underlying issue like bony coalition etc. First step is to get x rays done and rule out an underlying bony issue. If it is not then we need footwear modification, intensive physical therapy and monitoring on whether there is any issue or not. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Hi go ahead with surgery there are no long term complications of the surgery but yes delaying the surgery can invite trouble for you.

You mean she snores due to partial obstructions in nostrils. Use saline water and aply vaseline in each nostril, it will give some relief.
