My daughter aged 8 can't concentrate on her study since last 6 months. Whatever she read she forget it just after one or two days. She is trying hard for study but even after adopting so many processes of study she failed to recover herself. She is normal without having any injury or disease. She takes part in games and dance and sparing time for practicing these. Now her final examinations are just one month away. Please suggest a suitable medicine to help the poor girl.

Dear user, You must be able to understand Concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Please post a private question to me and I will help you with "effective learning" techniques. Avocados, Beetroots, Blueberries, Broccoli. Celery, Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate etc are good for improving concentration. Take care.

Hi lybrate-user the headache that you are experiencing, could be because of" stress" you could also be a bit in depression but for that you need to ask a psychologist who will diagnose your problem and tell you ways to deal with the problem. Anger and laziness both can be associated to stress/depressed state of mind.

I am having random headaches at random time, I don't know what the reason is, please help me.

I am having random headaches at random time, I don't know what the reason is, please help me.
Few things related to headache so that we can plan the treatment accordingly - if pain is associated with blurred or decreased vision than check your eye sight for refractive error - if the pain is associated with cold and fever than we have to rule out sinusitis as the cause and if the pain is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura than we have to rule out migrane as the cause - if the pain is associated with neck problems than we have to rule out cervical spondylosis as the cause - if the pain is associated with either low or high bp or due to hyperacidity than we have to treat the cause after examination.

I am 38 year old male I am have potential diabetics can I reverse this if yes what diet should I take.
Yes prediabetes can be reversed and at least prevented from progressing to diabetes. There is no special diabetics diet. Healthy eating habits include eating small meals at frequent intervals rather than large portion with prolonged fasting. Food should be rich in green and fruits, dairy products. Avoid refined carbohydrate (Maida). Exercise daily for at least 30 minutes. And keep on checking your blood sugar yearly.

Protein is the building block of the body - like bricks, cement, lime, pipes in a house, which wear & tear and need repairing all the time. Our muscles, skin, hair, nails, veins & arteries, all the organs, etc everything is made up of protein. It is the major nutrient of our body. Men & women should have 40% & 30% of their total body weight as muscles. These come from food that we eat everyday. We require 1 gm of protein per kg of ideal body weight everyday. Earlier from organic food we used to get 5 gm of protein out of 1 chapati / idli / dosa etc, however because of deteriorating soil quality now we get 1 gm of protein per chapati / idli / dosa. As a result people are already having hair fall, back pain, acidity, headache etc etc. Now giving away protein totally will make the body very weak and vulnerable for many disease. Uric Acid is the byproduct (waste) of protein. It is purine metabolism product. Out of solute, it precipitates and forms crystals. Lots of research has been going on treating gout (Uric acid accumulation in fine joints) with much higher dose of vit C in your diet. I have lots of testimonies of this with my patients. In conclusion, one should not reduce quality vegetable protein source but increase the intake of Vit C preferably as supplements to see sure and quick results.
