Stammering can be made lesser only and only by Speech therapy. So you should take the help of a speech therapist. Also, I'd suggest you to visit a Psychologist as confidence plays a great role in dealing with this problem. I'd suggest you to speak very slowly, word by word. People may make fun of this but believe me, slowly you'll get better at it. Hope your query is answered. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts. Wishing you good health.

If she is suicidal also, she needs treatment without her co operation. You need to admit her forcibly in any licensed hospital to take care of un co operative patients. One of the magistrates will sign the request from psychiatrist or hospital. Two psychiatrists independently need to sign that she is mentally ill and needs treatment for her own safety or others safety. One can approach police or special ambulances for mentally ill (available at bangalore) to take her to hospital. Once she is diagnosed and treated, she will become co operative and she will be given psychoeducation of depression and its treatment.

Sir I feel very week I feel tired so what I do grow my stamina brain not working fast I am student and 25 year old what I do learning and fast solve problem.

Sometimes slowing down is the only solution for the body and mind to rest, relax and recoup. You seem to be in a hurry and that can be very tiring if you are not resting enough. If you have stress in your life then you will get mentally tired. Eating junk food also doesn't help as its poor in nutrition. Doing physical and mental exercises will help increase blood circulation and build new neuro pathways for a healthier brain. Exercise your brain with puzzles, quiz, anagrams, sudoku, crossword etc which is like a mental gym and gives it enough exercise to rebuild itself back and develop focus, alertness, concentration etc. Meditation and pranayama calms the mind and oxygen brings fresh blood and energy to the brain. Counselling will help you to remove the unnecessary clutter in life and focus your energy in what is best for you. Please click on private chat for a personalised session.

I have high BP and I get tense very soon. How do I reduce stress and tension without taking tablets.

You will need to take medication to control your blood pressure. I suggest you consult your doctor and get your blood pressure checked regularly. Do not discontinue, alter, modify or change any of the medications without the doctor's approval. Complications of untreated hypertension are stroke, heart attack, brain haemorrhage, etc. Other things you can do along with taking medication (NOT as replacement for medication) is restriction of salt in your diet, avoid oily fatty food, some exercise on a daily basis, yoga, meditation and deep breathing. Cultivate a hobby. Spend time with friends and family.

If any problems consult me online.

It is curable be medication and counselling. 5 Ways to Fight Depression If you feel depressed, it's best to do something about it — depression doesn't just go away on its own. In addition to getting help from a doctor or therapist, here are 5 things you can do to feel better. 1.Exercise. Take a 15- to 30-minute brisk walk every day — or dance, jog, or bike if you prefer. People who are depressed may not feel much like being active. In addition to getting aerobic exercise, some yoga poses can help relieve feelings of depression. Two other aspects of yoga — breathing exercises and meditation — can also help people with depression feel better. 2.Nurture yourself with good nutrition. Depression can affect appetite. One person may not feel like eating at all, but another might overeat. Proper nutrition can influence a person's mood and energy. So eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and get regular meals (even if you don't feel hungry, try to eat something light, like a piece of fruit, to keep you going). 3.Identify troubles, but don't dwell on them. Try to identify any situations that have contributed to your depression. When you know what's got you feeling blue and why, talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a way to release the feelings and to receive some understanding. 4. Express yourself. With depression, a person's creativity and sense of fun may seem blocked. Exercise your imagination (painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, dancing, composing music, etc.) and you not only get those creative juices flowing, you also loosen up some positive emotions. Take time to play with a friend or a pet, or do something fun for yourself. Find something to laugh about — a funny movie, perhaps. Laughter helps lighten your mood. 5. Try to notice good things. Depression affects a person's thoughts, making everything seem dismal, negative, and hopeless. If depression has you noticing only the negative, make an effort to notice the good things in life. Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most of all, don't forget to be patient with yourself. Depression takes time to heal. If you are happy with these answers please click on "useful” link so that I can know my efforts are not wasted. If you want more clarifications or prescription for medicines consult me on this site to ask me directly and not in open questions session It's not easy to say exactly what causes depression and anxiety – it's different for everyone. Sometimes a difficult time in you or your mates' life can set off depression or anxiety, sometimes it's caused by a combination of things that has built up over time and sometimes, there's just no obvious cause at all.

Alcohol Problem - How to Identify If Someone Close to You Is Suffering?

Alcohol Problem - How to Identify If Someone Close to You Is Suffering?

Do you worry about your friend or relative’s drinking habits? You are not alone. There are people who struggle for years with the same question - How can I tell if the person I love is an alcoholic or not?
Well, the good news is that you don’t need to be a medical professional to figure out the right answer to this vital question. Read on to find simple ways to know whether your loved one suffers from alcohol addiction.

First up is a short quiz about drinking habits, developed by Dr. John Ewing to identify alcohol addiction. Treat this as a pointer and take your loved one to an expert, if it points towards alcohol addiction. You can ask these questions directly to your loved one, or you can answer these questions on their behalf.

According to the developers, one "yes" to the four quiz questions signals a problem, and more than one “yes” means that it's time for you or your loved one to get professional help.

  1. Have you ever felt you should cut down on your drinking?
  2. Have people annoyed you by criticizing your drinking?
  3. Have you ever felt bad or guilty about your drinking?
  4. Have you ever had a drink first thing in the morning to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover?”

There are many signs of a serious drinking problem. These include certain behaviours such as:

  1. Drinking just for getting drunk
  2. Drinking alone
  3. Keeping alcohol consumption a secret
  4. Drinking to escape problems
  5. Hiding alcohol bottles
  6. Experiencing withdrawal symptoms like getting irritated or experiencing nervousness, nausea, getting shakes, breaking out into a cold sweat, and getting hallucinations when unable to source alcohol
  7. Having problems at work, school, or home, as a result of alcohol consumption
  8. Losing interest in activities you or your friend used to enjoy
  9. Having blackouts due to heavy drinking
  10. Anger and extreme irritation

Other extreme behaviors to watch out for are:

  1. Being able to drink an awful lot of alcohol
  2. Trouble stopping once your loved one starts drinking
  3. A powerful urge to drink

There is another scientific way to determine, if your loved one is an alcoholic. In the US, medical professionals commonly use a criteria, listed in the fourth edition of the ‘Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders’. According to it, the signs and symptoms of alcoholism are clearly laid down and it states that alcohol dependent people:

  1. Will drink more to get their desired effect from alcohol
  2. Experience withdrawal symptoms when the effect of alcohol wears off
  3. Drink larger amounts of alcohol over a longer period of time
  4. Will be unable to consistently control their drinking
  5. Will leave important work for drinking
  6. Will spend a lot of time during the day getting alcohol, drinking it, and recovering from hangovers.
  7. Continue to use alcohol, despite knowing that their chronic physical or psychological problem is caused due to alcohol.
  8. To be declared alcohol-dependent, your loved one must experience at least three of these criteria during a year.

However, there is still no one definite test to diagnose alcohol-use disorders. Therefore, professionals diagnose them by making use of the patient’s comprehensive medical, family, and mental-health information. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a psychiatrist.
