Hi lybrate-user, Medicine & powder is not the only option to build muscles/ body. Don't be disappointed. If you are trying to gain weight, make sure that you are doing it in a healthy way. To gain weight you must consume simple foods for weight gain, which has enormous amount of calories & protein. Consuming lot of calories doesn’t mean that you have to over eat or over stuff yourself. Never skip your meals, take 3 major meals & 3-4 small meal/ snacks and make sure you are including all varieties of foods like fruits, vegetables, cereals and foods with high protein in your diet. Dairy products like milk, yoghurt and cheese are rich in protein and calcium. If you are non-vegetarian then include Egg & meat Egg is a protein rich food with high amount of calories. Nuts are the most nutritious and protein rich food. Take sufficient water (10-12 glasses in a day). Start work out approx for 30-40 minutes daily like brisk walk, running, jogging, skipping, swimming whatever you like.

Hot fomentation with hot water bag may relieve pain. Apply Nirgundi oil prior to the fomentation but if there is swelling or fever please consult any Ayurveda Consultant. You may apply Rumalaya oil (by Himalaya) thrice a day for pain relief.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Poor nutrition is mainly the reason for fat deposition in certain areas of the body. You cannot work on a specific body part. You have to work on overall fat loss and toning. Try to eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Drink a glass of lime water in the mornings to flush out your system & avoid bloating. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Include exercises that tone your back and abdominal muscles too. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets and singular ab exercises or ab machines will not give you targeted results. The fats will remain as it is. It's all about overall work out and balanced diet.

Hi keep your face dry, avoid applying oily creams and moisturisers, use cosmetics labelled as noncomedogenic, avoid oiling of scalp and reduce the intake of sugary foods.

*To control the oily secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive oily secretion on face So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging. Do long breathing pranayams daily for 10 minutes. • Drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. Apply rose water on your face daily for 5 minutes. * * Take proper sleep of 6 to 7 hrs daily. • Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin. *You can apply cucumber juice or mixed with curd for 5 minutes and rinse with water.

These are the methods to treat pimples - •Steam your face to open the pores ,which in turn clear the skin .steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily.• Do not touch your face again & again because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Mix black pepper powder in some water to make paste & apply on the pimples three times a week. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp .Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTSHODHAK syrup of BAIDYANATH company once a day after meals You can also avail my glow skin package for treatment. Be healthy.

Thanks for the query. As you have diabetes (T2 I think), plus fatty liver (whether it is non alcoholic or otherwise is not mentioned) and uric acid, you need to initiate treatment first for controlling diabetes. Fatty liver usually tends to occur in persons with diabetes and having either obesity or overweight. As regards uric acid there is a large number of people with high uric acid level (>7 mg/100 ml), but without any obvious symptoms. Since you have not given any specific details like fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, lipid profile, extent of daily exercise, it is difficult to suggest a specific diet plan. However, following are a few guidelines: Avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junkfoods, pastries, bakery items and foods made of maida. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads & fruits like orange, sweet lime, pomegranate, water melon, apple, pear, guava, papaya. Avoid colas. Always use whole grain flour for chapati & roti. Refrain from alcohol and smoking. Total caloric intake should be restricted the exact need based on weight, (BMI), & extent of exercise. Thanks.

Your hair needs a high protein well-rounded diet. A strand of hair is composed of mostly protein, which means your hair needs protein to grow. Hair and nails are both protein fibers. Hence a therapeutic diet prescribed by a registered dietitian can help a lot in hair growth. Besides diet excessive stress, current/past dandruff and some medication are conclusively known to retard hair growth and promote hair loss. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minox. That are proven to help in hairgrowth and repair I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. Sleep in complete darkness, or as close to it as possible. Move alarm clocks and other electrical devices away from your bed. Avoid using loud alarm clocks. Reserve your bed for sleeping. If you are used to watching TV or doing work in bed, you may find it harder to relax and drift off to sleep, so avoid doing these activities in bed. Don't drink any fluids within 2 hours of going to bed.Go to the bathroom right before bed Take a hot bath, shower or sauna before bed Wear an eye mask to block out light Listen to relaxation CDs Read something spiritual or uplifting.

Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defenses against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures..Also, the body's defense mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or more may be dangerous and demand immediate treatment The following medications may be used at home for mild fever : -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used in children during a viral illness. -Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes and donot overdress. Overdressing can cause the temperature to rise further. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths may help bring down a fever -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -Fever can cause dehydration.Drink plenty of fluids.Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami,Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals .avoid outside food -Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water especially before meals, or after returning from a public places or using public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

It is always important to consume fresh produce and home made foods which are free from trans fats, unnecessary preservatives, adulterants, and food colours. But somehow it is not possible always, therefore try to avoid such foods as much as possible and I clutter the habit of consuming fresh home foods.

Sir, i have back left lumber spin pain since 2 months. unable to stand/sit more than 3 hours. no pain while sleeping. mri scan report is" bulging disc with broad central left paracentral protrusion at l5-s1 level narrowing spinal canal, left lateral recess, indending the the cal sac, bilateral moderate inferior neural foraminal compromise & slightly indenting the traversing nerve roots on lest side. is it must to go for surgery, can it recovered with physiotherapy?
