My dentist after drilling my cavities uses tissue paper to dry the inside of my tooth. Tissue paper in not sterilized and there are chances of tissue paper being left behind. My question is what will happen if some tissue paper is left inside my tooth while filling and may it cause a infection or allergies if not than why? Thanks.

Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Regarding cavity in milk teeth .whether it should be treated or .wait till tooth loosens.

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Gorakhpur
Regarding cavity in milk teeth .whether it should be treated or .wait till tooth loosens.
It can be and should be treated and filled if pulp or vital tissue of tooth is not exposed yet. On e exposed, simple filling will exaggerate problem, it should be then evaluated for future permanent tooth concern, if permanent tooth will take time to erupt and treatment for milk tooth is possible, it should be done. If treatment not possible in extensively decayed tooth, it has to be extracted and a space Maintainer is placed.

What are the price ranges for braces of different kinds. I am thinking of getting my smile fixed.
Hello, the price range for braces varies from clinician to clinician and majorly by the kind of braces you are looking for. Least expensive are usually the metal braces, then the ceramic, then self ligating, then cums lingual braces and recent ones being the invisaligns are the most expensive ones. So you can check with your dentist and find out which one suits you the best depending upon your work profile and finding the right specialist for self ligating, lingual and invisaligns.

A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay.
