Doctor sb there are some problem in my teeth like Bad breath so give me some advise that what should I do.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Doctor sb there are some problem in my teeth like Bad breath so give me some advise that what should I do.
•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too.

Teeth bleaching is temporary modality like face bleaching. And in severe flourosis case it may not work sufficiently .cost starting from 6-10k. For permanent option, you can go ceramic veneers or crown which costs starts from 5-7k per tooth.

BDS
Dentist, Kolar
Bad breath can b caused fue to various reasons. Due to smoking n using tobacco products, dental prob such as decay teeth, unclean tongue, gum infections, reduced saliva n dry mouth, ill fitting dentues, salivary gland probs. Other diseases n infections which also cause bad breath r sinus infections, respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis n pneumonia, liver n kidney probs, diabetes, acid reflux from stomach etc. Get scalling done by dentist. Use proper brushing techniques. Brush, floss n use mouthwash twice daily. Massage your gums with your finger tips after brushing. Keep your tongue clean. Rinse your mouth well after each meal. Get your decay teeth filled. Visit your dentist for dental checkups every 6 months to detect n prevent dental probs. Drink plenty of fluids n lime juice. Inspite of these measures if bad breath persists, consult a general physician for further evaluation.

Brush and floss daily
See your dentist every six months.
If there is misaligned teeth get it corrected.
If there is gap between teeth can be corrected by orthodontic or cosmetic correction using crown or dental bonding
If there is stain due to tobacco, smoking get scaling done.

Fix Teeth In 5 Days- Basal Implants

Fix Teeth In 5 Days- Basal Implants

(KOS, BCS & BOI Basal Implants)
(say good bye to bone grafting, sinus lifts, and nerve repositioning)

For all queries regarding Dental Implants Call +918588097530  or email to dr.amanahuja@yahoo.com

Dental implants are changing the way people live. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacing teeth which look, feel and function like natural teeth. Moreover the facial contours are also preserved. With dental implants, the person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything.

There are different protocols/techniques for Dental implant treatment. Cosmodent Implant team believes only in scientifically proven protocols. The proven Branemark Protocol is a two stage dental implant treatment which requires 3 to 6 months with 2-3 sittings. Patients undergoing such treatment have to wait for a longer time before they can enjoy the benefits of better appearance, chewing, speech and their self confidence.

What is Permanent-fixed teeth-in-5days protocol?

Permanent-fixed teeth-in 5-days protocol is the in thing in dental implant treatment today. As the name says, every patient receives fixed permanent ceramic teeth in exactly 5 days from the day of implant placement. The most conservative (flapless) surgical technique combined with an in-house dental laboratory can deliver fixed teeth in 5 days.

With Permanent-fixed teeth-in-5-days protocol we can replace a single tooth, several teeth, or a full mouth of teeth, upper or lower, with remarkable comfort, predictability and aesthetics.

Permanent-fixed-teeth-in-5 days, How is it done?

The Permanent-fixed teeth-in-5 days protocol is performed in a single phase. It includes,

– Any tooth extraction, as indicated

– Implant placement, as planned

– Custom made CAD-CAM (designed ‘n’ milled) permanent prosthesis (teeth) fixed on Implants.

Day 1

On the first visit, the implant team clinically examines the patient, followed by necessary OPG taken for preliminary assessment. A 3D CBCT Scan (COSMODENT has an in-house OPG facility) if required, will be performed for precision planning. A virtual placement of implants will be demonstrated to the patient on the 3D CBCT SCAN, before finalizing the treatment plan. As a part of the treatment planning, the technique, cost factor and different fixed teeth options will be explained to the patient.

Day 2/3

The teeth are extracted and the basal implants are also placed during the same surgical visit. Impressions are taken for permanent ceramic teeth.

Day4/5

The permanent ceramic teeth are custom prepared and fixed within 5 days.

Thus the timeline for Permanent-fixed teeth-in-5 days is completed within one trip. At Cosmodent, we place 8 to 10 implants to restore the upper jaw and 6 to 8 implants for the lower jaw. The technique includes a combination of compression implants, basal implants and pterygoid implants. With this combination, every patient receives a full set of fixed teeth, without any bone graft procedure, sinus lift or nerve repositioning, that too with a lifetime warranty.

With these 8 to 10 basal implants, a full set of permanent ceramic teeth are fixed. A full set means the patient gets a total of 14 teeth on each arch, including the 2nd molars. The fabrication of permanent teeth takes approximately 4 to 5 days in our hi-tech dental lab. These permanent solutions are exclusively customized for you using CAD-CAM precision, along with the manual artistry and dexterity of skilled technicians. You have varied options to choose from such as metal ceramics, metal free Zirconium or titanium based crown and bridges.

Why is Permanent-fixed teeth-in-5 days protocol so successful at Cosmodent?

  • Vast experience of the multispecialty implant team, close to 2 decades, with thousands of implants placed, a big percentage of which includes immediate loading implants.

  • Constant collaborations with leaders in immediate loading implants, Ihde Dental Switzerland and their associates. COSMODENT has standardized the rehabilitation of edentulous jaws, using this wonderful technique which is based on basal implants and immediate loading implants.

  • With an in-house X-Ray, OPG, every implant planning and placement is done with ultimate precision. Hi-tech CAD-CAM supported, dental laboratory with 20 versatile and artistic dental technicians, in team with 2 high profile Prosthodontists (tooth replacement specialists) make sure you get the most natural looking, functional teeth in just 5 days time.

  • It means that implant treatments are done with high standards of sterilization and state-of-the-art equipments.

  • Even though every practitioner claims painless/ stress less placement of implants, we believe that full mouth implant placement needs more attention as far as the stress factor is concerned. To overcome this issue, the implant centre is equipped with conscious sedation machines, general anesthesia facility and a senior anesthetist on call.

  • The implant centre even has inpatient facilities, if you prefer round the clock attention and surely some savings on your accommodation.

Advantages of Permanent-fixed teeth-in-5 days protocol using KOS, BCS, BOI implants.

  • The BCS implants can be placed immediately after extraction.

  • KOS, BCS and BOI Implants are designed to be immediately loaded. That means permanent teeth (not removable dentures) can be fixed in 5 days.

  • This implant system heals faster, when they are loaded immediately, so no waiting for 3-6 months, for Osseo integration.

  • As these are single piece implants, so no screw loosening, less chance of peri implantitis.

  • These implants can be placed flapless (except BOI, which needs a gum incision and suturing) so more patient comfort and faster healing assured.

  • BCS and BOI (basal) implants are smooth surface implants. The advantages of smooth surface implants are-more resistant to infections-less maintenance needed-less bone resorption around implants-less risk of periimplantitis…(which is a major reason for implant failure )

  • This protocol can be performed in controlled diabetic patients, smokers and patients with severe gum disease with equal success.

  • In a single visit….both extraction and implant can be completed. So, a single surgical visit is required, compared to a two-staged implant protocol, thus avoiding multiple surgeries.

  • These implants are from highly reputed IDHE DENTAL, a SWISS company which is known for its perfection.

  • All patients can enjoy the benefits of permanent fixed bridges on implants within 5 days.

  • This improvised technique is equally reliable as the traditional techniques.

  • This protocol can often be used to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or a full mouth of teeth, upper or lower, with remarkable comfort, predictability and aesthetics.

  • The Permanent-fixed teeth-in-5 days protocol is completed in a single trip.

Comparison of different implant treatment techniques at Cosmodent.

  • Versatility of the implant team is very crucial in implant treatment planning and execution.

  • No single implant procedure is ideal for every clinical situation. Many of the known implant practitioners perform only a single technique for every situation, because they are only familiar to that one technique. They not only promote that technique, they even put down other modalities. This is lack of expertise and knowledge.

  • No technique is superior to any other technique. The fact is that, different techniques and approaches are required for different clinical situations, for the ultimate success of implant.

Ways to Reduce Teeth Sensitivity

MDS, BDS
Dentist, Ghaziabad
Ways to Reduce Teeth Sensitivity

The tooth is made of 3 layers, each with unique characteristics and specific function, the enamel, dentin, and pulp. The enamel is the outermost layer of the tooth and gives the tooth it's hard and lustrous appearance. The enamel is thicker on the crown than the root and is the first one to be affected by tooth decay. The only symptom when the enamel is decayed is food lodgment and discoloration.

The dentin is the next layer, which is composed of minute fine tubules leading from the enamel to the living portion of the tooth, which is the pulp. Once decay progresses from the enamel, the dentin is affected, and this leads to sensitivity in the teeth. When the root portion is exposed to the oral environment, because the root is covered by a more delicate substance called cementum, more severe dental sensitivity ensues.

There is a sharp, shooting discomfort through the tooth to specific foods, such as sweet, acidic, or hot or cold foods.  The main reasons for tooth sensitivity include:

  • Tooth decay, both crown and root caries
  • Periodontal disease and gum recession
  • Tooth erosion
  • Aggressive tooth brushing
  • Mouth breathing
  • Bruxism or night grinding

However, there are some simple ways to manage sensitivity, which can be done regularly at home.

  1. Toothpaste made for sensitive teeth: Potassium nitrate has been shown to block the tubules and has been included as an active ingredient in toothpastes. These are very effective, and if you are brushing twice, this can be used instead of the regular paste once.
  2. Brushing: Both the type of toothbrush and the brushing technique can have an impact on sensitivity.  Change to softer brushes and learn the ideal way to brush your teeth. A lot of times, rough brushing can lead to erosion and subsequent sensitivity
  3. Rinsing: Fluoride containing rinses have been proven to reduce sensitivity
  4. Food habits: Even before sensitivity sets in, being cautious to avoid acidic fruits and juices can help prolong the onset of sensitivity. If possible, consuming these food stuffs should be followed by brushing or at the least a thorough rinsing
  5. Sealants: If a person is prone to caries (deep pits and fissures, for instance), then it is advisable to get sealants applied on the teeth. This can reduce the instance of wearing of the enamel which then leads to sensitivity
  6. Mouth guard: If you are a night grinder, then a mouth guard can help curtail this habit and thereby reduce sensitivity.

There you go with how to reduce sensitivity. Try these simple, easy measures and go on to enjoy the sweets or hot or cold foods that you have always craved for.

In my lower front two teeth are black during 2nd time grow. How can it clean please suggest.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

In my lower front two teeth are black during 2nd time grow. How can it clean please suggest.
The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Wisdom teeth can erupt anywhere between the age of 17 years and the mid-20s. It is usually accompanied by pain, sensitivity, and discomfort in chewing food. The pain also may radiate to head, neck and ear. For transient relief, you can go for pain killers and any antibacterial mouthwash, to keep the area clean, which may be difficult to clean otherwise with a toothbrush. Permanent treatment usually involves either removal of the gum tissue covering the wisdom tooth (if it is present in your case), or extraction of the tooth. Extraction will not cause you any problem with eating food, and it doesn’t need to be replaced, unlike other teeth. Right now you don't have pain, but you must maintain a good hygiene in that area, and get it cleaned from a dentist if required. In case it pains, you must show it to a dentist, and get appropriate medication.

There are several cause for your problem (nocturnal bruxism) and stress is one of them. Now instead of discussing those complex medical terms like occlusal disharmony, functional disharmony TMJ dysfunction etc. Here is the solution, you meet a dentist and get a night guard fabricated. You must be aware of your other general body problems like diabetes, hypertension, liver or kidney related problems which can contributes to your night grinding habit. Once actual problem is not diagnosed it can only be prevented by night guards. For further details you can connect with us. THANK YOU.

If you have gums have swollen which has developed in 3 months, then may I know if you have started any medication prior to 3-4 months. If yes, it can be a side effect of that. First of all if you have any bad habits stop that, after that if there is any decayed tooth get it filled because food debris get accumulated there and also creates foul odours in mouth. After that go for chlorehexidine mouth wash 0.12 percent n gargle twice daily in a glass of water. If any further prblm consult a dentist n also get your toothy cleaned.
