Hi, Follow the following medication and guidelines to gain weight ----Start the treatment with single dose of Tuberculinum 1M. After 1 week of this take the below:- * First week- you should take Baryta carb 1M, 5 drops , single dose, morning empty stomach. *second week- take Thuja 1M, drops, single dose , morning empty stomach. *third week- Again take Baryta carb 1M, 5 drops, single dose, morning empty stomach. *fourth week- take Thuja 1M, 5 drops , single dose, morning empty stomach. *Take Rite -hite tablets from SBL, 2-2 tabs , two times daily. *Bio combination no. 21, 4 -4 tabs daily , two times. *Mix two tablespoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm cow’s milk. 1. Add sugar or jaggery according to your taste and mix well. 2. Drink it every night before going to bed at least for 45 days to increase your height. * plenty of fluids, frequent smaller meals, yoga and exercise regime and adequate sleep is also important. Take a healthy and balanced diet. *Do yoga (especially TADASAN) and stretching exercises regularly. *Revert after 1 month. Consult a dietician for a diet plan. Thank you.

Hello, as she she is in the later half of her cycle when menses are expected any day, the likelihood of ovum sustaining this long is unlikely and hence though chances of pregnancy are fairly minimal but one should opt for an emergency contraceptive pill to avoid unplanned pregnancy.

You need to visit an endocrinilogist regarding your issues with thyroid. Thyroid is the metabolic hormone of the body. If you are hypothyroid then your metabolism will slow down. But it all depends from person to person. It is also true that your body fat will reduce slower than a a person with normal levels of thyroid. But you can always keep your levels in check by following a discipline lifestyle and eating clean and exercising well To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

I am a 37 years old man having back ache problem. X ray shows lumbar spondylosis and mri shows diffuse disk bulge at l1 -l4 with degenerative change and schmorl node d10-d12. Please tell me about future consequences and advise further treatment. If government doctor tells that's not a problem and no treatment req then what to do medically as well as legally. If your pain is not going down the leg then the disc prolapse is probably minimal and not compressing on the nerves significantly. Get your vitamin d levels done fasting-it may be low. Also learn spinal extension exercises from a physiotherapist and do those 20 mins 3 times a day. Some pain killers will help in the interim period.

Dark circles are a common problem but the cause for its occurrence has to be determined. Most of the times, it's genetic that is it runs in the family. But inadequate sleep, nutritional deficiency or working on laptop for long hours can also cause this. Please get your hemoglobin checked. Creams can be tried, which are specially made for treating pigmentation on this area. Chemical peels are also another option. Please use a sunscreen. Do you have pain in one tooth or do you have generalised pain? if you have pain in one tooth then kindly get an x-ray done of the tooth having pain. May be you will have to get root canal treatment done followed by a crown or cap. But if you have generalised pain then kindly get scaling done and use gum paint twice daily for 15 days. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

With many technological advances, our attention span has decreased drastically from what it used to be. We spend significantly more time glued to our screens and have an increased amount of stimuli from the environment. This results in our focus constantly shifting.  

Your memory capacity on the other hand is limitless. The human brain has the ability to store more than 1 quadrillion pieces of data. This is only the average amount of data being recorded throughout our lives and 99% of the information from our environment gets discarded.

Here are some ways in which you can improve your memory and attention:

  • Exercise:

Regular exercise helps supply oxygen to the brain which can help reduce the risk of memory loss and other related problems.

  • Getting enough sleep:

It is said that the average adult needs 7-8 hours of sleep every night. Even one hour less can reduce problem solving skills, memory and creativity.

  • Laughing:

The phrase “laughter is the best medicine” doesn’t only hold true for physical ailments but also helps in improving memory. It helps people think more broadly and connect ideas more freely.

  • The power of music:

Numerous studies show that listening to music without lyrics helps increase your ability to focus. Music has proven to be very calming and soothing for people. This very quality is what helps boost your concentration and focus.

  • Identifying stressors:

Stressors act as a magnet and pulls away our concentration. A way to rectify this is to “clean up” your mind. Get rid of all the stressors by taking a few deep breaths before you start your work. This will help you concentrate and focus on your desired task for longer periods of time.

  • Test your attention span:

Cut out newspaper articles with three paragraphs. Cross out the any one vowel in the article.

  • If you have skipped letters in the first paragraph – attention span dips at the beginning.

  • If you skip letters in the second paragraph (and not in first or third) – attention is lost halfway and returns slowly.

  • If you skip letters in the second paragraph and in the third – you have a short attention span and other activities along with this must be conducted regularly to increase it.

  • If you skip letters in the third paragraph – attention span decreases towards the end.

This activity can be done often to check improvement in attention span.

Relax. Take interest in your work and surroundings. Play some games and develop hobbies, do get BP and eye sight checked, x ray PNS, thyroid hormones T3 T4 Tsh 1.Sleep . Go to bed and get up about the same times every day, 3. Eat regular meals. 4. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration 5. Relax – listen soothing music . Walk for 5 mts 6.avoid .stress, 7. .avoid strong stimuli like loud noises, and smell of food 8. Keep your routine fixed and regular in addition do 1.no alcohol 3. No smoking 4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice 5. 30 mts walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily 7. Meditation daily for 10 mts 8. Expose your body to sun for 15-20 mts daily after some oil massage to get vit d. Do for 30 days

Hello, excess body heat can be a result of high metabolic rate or high pitta (digestive fire) and thermic effect of food. You are advised to eat more alkaline food. Here’s a list of alkaline foods you should be eating more of: Fruits Vegetables Greens (spinach, broccoli, cucumbers) Avocado Beans Raw nuts Vegetable juices (carrot, beet) Sprouts (moong dal, chana, soy, alfalfa, broccoli sprouts etc.) Apple Cider Vinegar seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, flax, chia etc.) In addition, Increase your water intake (at least 5 litres a day) and drink green tea 2-3 times a day. And since protein has the highest thermic effect i.e. it produces the highest amount of heat while digesting as compared to other components of food, so it would be wise to decrease your protein intake from animal sources like eggs, chicken fish etc. and eat more plant based diet. if you follow this, there will be no need of medicines. Stay healthy, stay strong.

Consult an ENT !! And please dont put johnson bud without knowing it is wax or not !! You might end up perforating your drum !! Dont use johnson bud ever for canal clearance ... Dear friend, It seems your mother is having Arthritis of knee joint which is common in this age. I would like to see x Rays of her knee before advising any treatment. Treatment depends upon stage of disease and varies from just medicine for couple of days along with physiotherapy or total knee replacement. It will depend upon stage of disease and expectations of your mother.

at your age, memory problems like amnesia, dementia or alzheimer's are not common. Many young people do complain having problems with memory. These problems are due to either they are too busy or due to anxiety and stress. Busy people use organizers or employ a personal assistant because they can't remember every task. Dear, follow these important tips to get fair colour of skin * avoid to go in strong sunlight and if you have to go in sunlight then cover your face & exposed parts of body before going in sunlight. * use sunscreen having spf 15 on face especially in summer and spring season. * take vitamin -e rich foods like dry fruits, egg and fish as you like. You can take cord liver oil capsule daily. * take more anti oxidant foods like fruits (apple, grapes, melon) and citrus fruits. * make paste of papaya and apply this paste on face & exposed body parts and leave it for 15 minutes. It brightens the skin and lower melanin content.

Common signs and symptoms of dengue fever include: High fever, possibly as high as 105°F (40°C) Pain behind the eyes and in the joints, muscles and/or bones. Severe headache. Rash over most of the body. Mild bleeding from the nose or gums. Bruising easily. 1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% protein, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet, don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /6-8 glasses of water daily.

I'm a badminton player. I sweat a lot. Even after 5 mins of playing make my tee shirt so wet that I can literally squeeze sweat out of my tee shirt. I keep myself well hydrated to compensate for the loss. Is there any problem in sweating too much?

Dear, there are methods by which you can gain some centemetres of height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. * firststand bare foot on flat surface, now move your heels upwards and raise your arms up. Start walk on the front part of feet with heels upwards. Walkatleast 8-10 steps. Repeat this exercise for 2-3 times in a day. 2. Take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. 3. Sit in sun rays for atleast 8-10 minutes in morning of evenings when the sun rays are not so strong. It will help you by getting adequate quantity of vitamin-d. 4. The growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. 5. You can also adopt the surgical techniques which helps you gaining desired height. 6. You can take 1/2 teaspoon of dhatuposhtik churn of baidyanath daily with milk once a day.
