Hi, first of all you should meet near by experience Physiotherapist, and start the exercise under their supervision. And you can use hometraction kit at your home use 2 hr. Daily with 10 to 12 kg. Start swimming twice in a week and walking in water. Avoid weight Lift activity and long sitting.

How To Care Your Spine?

Approximately 80-90% of the population suffers from spinal pain at some point. A healthy spine is an often overlooked and essential part of a healthy lifestyle. People, who suffer from back pain, particularly if it is long-term, are generally less healthy than those who do not. It’s important for you to try to keep your spine as healthy as possible.

Physiotherapists recommend the following spinal health tips:

  • Standing: When standing, keep one foot slightly in front of the other, with your knees slightly bent. This position helps to take the pressure off your lower back. Do not stand bent forward at the waist for prolonged periods of time. The muscles in your lower back become deconditioned in this position, which may lead to pain.
  • Lifting: At all times, avoid twisting while lifting. Twisting is one of the most dangerous movements for your spine, especially while lifting. If the item is too heavy to lift, pushing it is easier on your back than pulling it. Whenever possible, use your legs, not your back or upper body, to push the item. If you must lift a heavy item, get someone to help you.
  • Sitting: Keep your knees slightly higher than your hips, with your head up and back straight. Avoid rolling your shoulders forward (slouching. Try to maintain the natural curve in your low back.
  • Reaching and bending: When reaching for something above shoulder level, stand on a stool. Straining to reach such objects may not only hurt your mid-back and neck, but it can also bring on shoulder problems. Do not bend over at the waist to pick up items from the floor or a table. Instead, kneel down on one knee, as close as possible to the item you are lifting, with the other foot flat on the floor and pick the item up. Or bend at the knees, keep the item close to your body, and lift with your legs, not your back.
  • Carrying: When carrying objects, particularly if they are heavy, keep them as close to your body as possible. Carrying two small objects—one in each hand—is often easier to handle than one large one.
  • Healthy diet and exercise: The most efficient and effective way to reduce weight is by eating a sensible diet and exercising regularly. Consult with your health professional before beginning any exercise program, particularly if you have a health condition.
  • Sleeping: Placing a pillow under your knees while lying on your back cuts the pressure on your spine roughly in half. Lying on your side with a pillow between your knees may also reduce the pressure on your back. Never sleep in a position that causes a portion of your spine to hurt. Most often, your body will tell you what position is best.

While following these instructions is no guarantee that you’ll be free from back pain for your entire life, it can certainly reduce your risk of developing it. These simple steps will help you keep your spine in good shape, making you a healthier, happier person.

Hi, I think you face major problems your back, my suggestion is that first you take MRI of your spine. And meet your near Physiotherapist or Physiotherapy rehabilitation center. They will give you better solution. And check it vit. B12 and D3 level. And avoid long standing and sitting. Start swimming twice in a week at least 45 min. And walk in swimming pool. Don't take Heavy weight and Control your driving. Take precautions 1 to 2 month definitely you will feel good results.

Hello doctor past 2 days onwards my low back is paining and today when I am walking my left side big toe nerve is paining and when I am lie down on bed for couple of second my left side big toe jumping automatically and it disappearing by couple seconds and more for someday it is worsen but automatically for some days I am not feeling this please suggest me about this doctor.

Hi, your low back is affectedt. So you should visit your near Physiotherapist clinic. Precautions you should avoid forward bending at least 3 week. And not lift the weight. Avoid driving. And start hot formations by prone lying for 20 min. Three times in a day.

Hi, you have problem in your lower back and sacrum level. You should contact your nearby Physiotherapy clinic minimum 5 to 7 visit to resolve this. Still you should avoid forward bending. And prefer western toilet seat. And avoid driving also. Start hot formantation thrice a day at lower back by lying in prone (on abdomen. Start swimming.

Hi, I think you should take some radiology examination, x-ray of lumbar spine ap and lateral. And get sonography. Then we could better examine.

I have hairline left clavicle fracture since past 25 days. I have put clavicle brace n hand sling. My left hand gets swollen wherever I am walking or sitting but the swelling is gone when I am sleeping or lying on bed.

Hi, it is happen in this type of fracture. You should avoid excess pressure over upper back. And avoid long sitting. You should wait at least 3 to 4 week more. And use cold formantation.

My mother is suffering from spondylitis. During the day suddenly she feels pain in the neck .If she do a little work then the same thing happens again. We have already met a doctor and following his course with that the symptoms has gone down. But accidentally they repeat during some days. Suggest the exercises and diet she has to be followed.

Hi, you must need to consult with Physiotherapist. He better solve your mother problem. Initially you can use heating pad at neck region at least 20 min thrice a day. And avoid forward neck bending. And mobile activity. You should contact with Physiotherapist and get proper assessment and start physiotherapy for some days visits.

Hi, if your neck having stiffness, and difficult to move ,and feel some cord is pulling. So immediately contact near by Physiotherapist. For conservation treatment. You should avoid forward neck bending and avoid mobile over activities. And prefer the straight lying on bed. And pillow should be preferable as neck position chin to chest gap during standing same as lying. Avoid reccron pillow. Proper cotton pillow prefer. And start neck and shoulder strengthening and ROM exercises.
